It goes all around London, from Canary Wharf to Mile End and even Camden Town.

One of the most romantic places in London, the Garden at 120 is also completely free.

It offers some of the prettiest views in London by mixing greenery and nearby skyscrapers – a perfect spot for a date.

There is a cafe/restaurant on spot too, though, if you’d like to enjoy the free view of London with a beverage.

Kyoto Garden and the Dutch Garden are two of my favorite secret gardens in London.

Kyoto Garden is more and more popular, but for a first date in London, it’s still utterly romantic.

Japanese-themed, it offers fish, a beautiful waterfall (and seeing waterfalls in London is not that common, is it!), and changing colors according to the seasons.

The Dutch Garden revolves more about that structured architecture, with an unbelievable frescoe and little fountain in the middle.

One of the most hidden romantic spots in London is without a doubt the Garden Museum.

Although it’s a secret spot, the Waterloo museum celebrates English gardening, from technique to aesthetic.

There’s also a coffee shop inside the Garden Museum from which you can enjoy the interior garden.

We’ve talked about several places where you can see stunning nature in London, and the Royal Parks are always a good idea for a first date.

Regent’s Park in particular is huge, quiet, with many smaller gardens.

Another one of my personal favorites is St James’ Park, which hosts an utterly cute Duck Island with its cottage.

The Inner Temple Gardens have always been one of the most romantic places in London in my opinion.

Closeby, you have Temple Church, and you’re just a few minutes away from St Paul’s Cathedral.

Stay around the area and you’ll find the secret Reflection Garden, as well as a free rooftop at One New Change.

Keep walking towards Central London and you’ll arrive at Somerset House, Charing Cross Road and Trafalgar Square.

When I used to live in Greenwich, in South East London, one of my favorite things to do was to see the sunset over Canary Wharf.

So, one of the coolest date ideas in London would be to walk from the Greenwich DLR station to the Cutty Sark, a ship you can visit.

Hyde Park is one of the most famous parks in London, and is the one that hosts Winter Wonderland every year.

At Hyde Park, you can walk around seeing the swans swimming and roller skaters doing tricks.

Southbank and London Bridge in general is one of my favorite places to write in London.

I’m a water sign, after all – I need to see the water to feel centered and productive.

Which is why I always go to cafes to work in London Bridge, as much as I can.

Some parts of Southbank have stairs which you can take to sit by the Thames.

The sunset in Covent Garden is also really beautiful, with all the clouds firing up in pink, orange and red.

In Covent Garden, you have some of the best makeup stores in London: MAC Cosmetics, The Ordinary, Kryolan, and Boots.

One of the most secret free rooftops in London is the Oxo Tower Rooftop.

I’ve told you about some places in the Oxo Tower, like Caffè Nero, one of my favorite cafes to work in London Bridge.

This Caffè Nero is one of the best coffee shops of the chain – it’s really cute inside and perfect for a coffee and a cake.

However, if you go on the 8th floor of the Oxo Tower, you can ask the restaurant staff to show you to the public viewing platform.

And spot a stunning view of St Paul’s for free.

There are lots of beautiful bookshops in London, but I think my favorite is Daunt Books.

Located in Marylebone, where you’ll also find the Sherlock Holmes Museum, Daunt Books looks like a mix between a bookstore and an art gallery.

There are lots of cool secondhand bookshops in London, and my favorite is Hurlingham Books.

Not to be mistaken for the charity bookshops you can find mainly with Oxfam.

I happen to end up at the British Museum way too often, but admiring Egyptian busts and Greek art there is amazing.

One of the most nontouristy things to do in London is visiting the Saatchi Gallery – I’ve always felt it’s more of a local museum.

Completely free except for special exhibitions, the Saatchi Gallery is located close to Harrods and the Victoria & Albert Museum.

There are a few parts of the Science Museum I absolutely love; the plane models and the astronomy part.

When you have a date planned, it’s one of the coolest things to do in London when it rains, is sunny, or is snowing.

If you know your date loves science, visiting is probably one of the most fun date ideas in London.

Even if you aren’t really into science, it’s really an impressive spot for a date.

And it’s one of the completely free museums in London, too!

The Victoria and Albert Museum is one of the best date spots in London, in my opinion.

It’s huge, completely free to enter, and you have plenty of different arts and eras in the collection.

During the slide, you can catch a view of London, so it’s really an emotional moment in all forms.

It’s huge and utterly cute, and a mix between a cafe and a restaurant.
