Ranking and finding the best Sol de Janeiro scents is something I don’t feel capable of doing, especially when the brand keeps releasing gems like the Delicia Drench 59 body butter.
Lately, I’ve gotten many products from them, including the Brazilian Crush Cheirosa 62 body mist I am reviewing today – thank you, duty free, for allowing me to make beauty and makeup purchases I wouldn’t otherwise make.
I have known about the Sol de Janeiro body mists for about a year now; even if the brand was established back in 2015, I never really came across the products.
However, in the last few months, from the Brazilian Glossy Nourishing Hair oil to the fragrant hand cream, I’ve fallen ever more in love with Sol de Janeiro, who promotes a positive approach to skincare… and to life.
Sol de Janeiro’s Best Scents: Cheirosa 62 Body Mist Review
I’ve had the Brazilian Crush Cheirosa 62 body mist for a while now, and this is one I wear as soon as I want to feel a bit happier – smelling good really does wonders for self-esteem…
Maybe a reason why I love perfumes and body mists?
As opposed to the Valentino Born in Roma Coral Fantasy perfume I wear quite often lately, and which smells both fruity and fresh, the Cheirosa 62 body mist is very sweet.
Notes of almond and pistachio sit at the top of the fragrance profile, so you can already understand a bit more about the essence of this body spray – and done in such a skillful way that it’s now one of the iconic Sol de Janeiro products.

About Sol de Janeiro
The Sol de Janeiro products are the epitome of what clean beauty lovers are hooked on: cruelty-free, vegan friendly, gluten free and paraben free.
All the products are made in the USA with responsibly sourced ingredients, and the body mists can be used on the hair as well.
The brand focuses on skincare, haircare and fragrances that will remind you of the ‘warmth of sun on bare, glowing skin’ and gives off that Brazilian vibe, true, it reminds me more of the SoCal vibe that Hollister body mists also offer.
Very body positive, and very generous – those are two adjectives best suited to describe Sol de Janeiro, if I may.

What are the best Sol de Janeiro products?
The Brazilian Bum Bum Cream was one of the first Sol de Janeiro products ever launched, and since then, we have seen the brand come up with ever more incredible fragrances and products.
I always say that once you try a Sol de Janeiro product, you’re hooked for life.
Some of the most popular products are the time of writing are the Bom Dia Bright Cream, the travel and gift sets, the leave-in conditioner and, well, all the Sol de Janeiro body mists.
What are the best Sol de Janeiro scents and body mists?
In terms of scents, Sol de Janeiro does not offer dozens, but they are in my opinion all better than the previous one.
It’s really hard to own only one Sol de Janeiro body mist – trust me, I’ve tried.
The available numbers are currently these:
- Brazilian Crush Cheirosa 62
- Brazilian Crush Cheirosa 71
- Brazilian Crush Cheirosa 40
- Brazilian Crush Cheirosa 68
- Brazilian Crush Cheirosa Rio Radiance
- Brazilian Crush Cheirosa 59
If you like something more floral, you might want to go for the Cheirosa 68 body mist, but if you like very sweet scents more, go for number 71.

Is Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa 62 Brazilian Crush a popular Sol de Janeiro product?
The Cheirosa 62 body mist is on the sweeter side, with notes of vanilla, almond and pistachio making the bulk of the fragrance, but that sweetness is countered by floral notes as well.
I am not a floral perfume type of gal, and much prefer stronge notes of oud or amber, but I can take some floral notes in a mostly sweet scent.
The Brazilian Crush Cheirosa 62 mist offers that and more, and it is not only one of the most popular Sol de Janeiro fragrances, but also one of the first products ever released by the brand.
What Sol de Janeiro products come with the Cheirosa 62 scent?
Cheirosa 62 is Sol de Janeiro’s signature scent, which means many products come in this scent, for instance:
- Brazilian Bum Bum Cream
- Bum Bum Body Scrub
- Brazilian Glossy™ Nourishing Hair Oil
- Triple Brazilian Butter ™ Hair Repair Treatment
- Rio Deo Aluminum-Free Deodorant
- Brazilian Touch™ Hand Cream
- Samba Foot Fetish
- Brazilian Joia ™ Milky Leave-In Conditioner
- Sol Cheirosa 62 Perfume
I have the Brazilian Touch Hand Cream, and it is another product you can layer with Cheirosa 62 if you ever want for it to smell ever stronger – really good hand cream.
There is another product I have been suspecting of smelling like Cheirosa 62, the Brazilian Kiss lip butter, and while I’m not sure if they’re the same scent, it also smells incredible.
If you’re ever in need of an amazing lip balm, you can’t go wrong with this one.
Other Sol de Janeiro scents come in several products, like the Brazilian Crush Cheirosa 40 that also comes in the Bom Dia Body Cream, and Cheirosa 59 that comes in the Delicia Drench body butter.

Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Crush Cheirosa 62 Body Mist Review: Details
Here’s what Sol de Janeiro says about the Cheirosa 62 body mist:
Experience the sweet sensation of our iconic perfume mist, with delicious notes of pistachio, salted caramel, and vanilla. Feels like summer all year round.
Cheirosa 62 Perfume Mist is inspired by the year 1962, when we fell for the Girl from Ipanema and the iconic beach culture of Brazil. Like the sundrenched wonder of Rio, you just can’t get enough!
It comes in several formats:
- 90 mL
- 240 mL
- Refill
Since it’s pretty hard to find the complete range of Sol de Janeiro products in Rome, where I live at the moment, and the official website does not deliver to Europe yet, I bought this one at the duty-free.
The difference in price was not that big, to be honest, and since the 240 mL was available, that’s the one I got.

Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Crush Cheirosa 62 Body Mist Review: Fragrance Notes
The Brazilian Crush Cheirosa 62 scent is described as warm gourmand, and it is – here are the fragrance notes:
Top: Pistachio, Almond
Mid: Heliotrope, Jasmine Petals
Dry: Vanilla, Salted Caramel, Sandalwood
Now, there are lots of amazing body mist and perfume brands around the world that offer the same kind of scent, right?
Yes, but – what made me fall in love with the Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa 62 fragrance hits all the spots.
You can literally smell the change when the body mist sets, and by this, I mean that you are able to smell both pistachio and almond when first spraying Cheirosa 62.
Then, you do feel the floral part of the fragrance, with a very sweet scent in the background balanced by sandalwood.
If you’ve been on The Working Line before, you probably know I am as crazy about perfumes as I am about scented candles – and vanilla sandalwood candles are some of my favorite to relax.

Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Crush Cheirosa 62 Body Mist Review: Thoughts
It’s very rare to come across a body mist in which I can really smell all the notes – and just like Cheirosa 62, all the other Sol de Janeiro scents offer that full panel of notes.
The 62 scent might be described as ‘Pistachio and Salted Caramel’, but it’s so much more than that.
In terms of wear time, the Cheirosa 62 body mist is quite long lasting, even if I usually spray it a lot as my skin does not keep perfume smelling for long.
Which is why I often go for stronger perfumes, like my beloved Penhaligons perfumes.

If you ever feel like you want to make the scent go for longer, you can layer it with the Brazilian Bum Bum Cream, or, what I do, layer it with the Brazilian Glossy Nourishing Hair Oil.
I love using the Brazilian Glossy Nourishing Hair Oil on my hair, and it’s one of the best hair products for curly hair I’ve ever used, but I also love how much it nourishes my skin and do use it that way from time to time.

In doing so, the hair oil smell and that of the Cheirosa 62 body mist, which are the same, blend and make the scent stronger for longer.

Sol de Janeiro’s Best Scents: Cheirosa 62 Body Mist Review
It’s pretty clear to everyone, I think, that the Brazilian Crush Cheirosa body mists are now at the top of my list.
I do wear my other perfumes from time to time, and have lately gotten both Roberto Cavalli Nero Assoluto and the Chloé perfume – but the Sol de Janeiro body sprays, man…
Every time you spray one of them, from the Cheirosa 62 to my favorites, Cheirosa 40 and Cheirosa 68, it’s a piece of dream you’re spraying.
The fact you can use them on your hair as well just makes it the perfect accessory for daily life, as these body mist can, and will, brighten up any grey day.
