Let’s talk a little bit about the best MAC lipstick dupes from the Sephora Lipstories collection, since it’s currently one of the most popular Sephora Collection lipstick ranges. And with good reason; the Sephora Lipstories lipsticks are available in a matte, satin, or metal finish and they retail for a mere $10.
Compared to MAC’s $21 lipsticks, it’s understandable you would be looking for Sephora MAC lipstick dupes. Since the beautiful Sephora Lipstories lipsticks are pigmented, pretty long-lasting, and comfortable to wear, why wouldn’t you?

17 Best Sephora Lipstories MAC Lipstick Dupes: Mehr to Rebel
In this guide, we’ll talk about the best MAC lipstick dupes from the Sephora Lipstories collection regardless of the finish.
I’m mostly going to focus on the color – even if you get a Sephora dupe in a satin finish, you can always blot it out with a tissue to get a little bit of a more matte finish or apply an extra-fine translucent powder on top.
A little disclaimer:
In any case, I’ve tried to get the closest shades for each of the Sephora Lipstories lipsticks I’ll mention here.
I say this in almost every article about the best MAC lipstick dupes, but you and I both know that nude lipsticks are the most difficult to find dupes of.
Not talking about the MAC Velvet Teddy lipstick dupes, which I took ages to find, just because finding the right undertone is not easy for light shades.
However, I’ve tried to find really close shades, and depending on the lighting, your skin tone, and whether you combine the lipstick with a lip liner, you can get a really good dupe!
Best MAC Dupes: Sephora Lipstories 01 Brunch Date for Mocha
First up, we’ve got the Sephora Lipstories 01 Brunch Date lipstick, which I feel is a great MAC Mocha lipstick dupe.
The Brunch Date shade is a bit lighter than Mocha, and to be honest, I feel like it’s at the crossroads between the MAC Mocha lipstick and the now-discontinued MAC Satin lipstick Peachstock.
It could also be a good dupe for Kinda Sexy and Down to an Art, so if you like that kind of peach coral shade, Brunch Me is for you. It’s still got that bit of brown in the shade, but be aware it’s slightly lighter than the Mocha lipstick.

Best Sephora Dupes for MAC Lipsticks: Lipstories 03 Oui! for Brave
The Sephora Lipstories 03 Oui! lipstick is part of the satin range, which means you’ve got a close dupe for the MAC Brave lipstick here.
Super wearable nude pink shade, and really good if you tend to have dry lips and would rather go for even more hydrating lipsticks.
Really a great MAC Brave lipstick dupe here, and perfect if you’re looking for nude MAC lipstick for pale skin, fair skin, or to wear with a darker lip liner.

Best MAC Dupes: Sephora Lipstories 06 Tan Lines for Down to an Art
Next up, we’ve got the Sephora Lipstories 06 in Tan Lines, which, like the shade Brunch Me, makes me think of a great dupe for the MAC Down to an Art lipstick.
With the Sephora Tan Lines lipstick, we’ve got a satin finish, whereas Down to an Art is a matte lipstick.
The shiny finish makes me think of spring from the get-go, so if you’re looking for more comfortable lipsticks with the same shade as Down to an Art, you’ve got one of the best MAC lipstick dupes here.

Best Sephora MAC Lipstick Dupes: Lipstories 07 Love Love for Bronx
One of my favorite Sephora MAC lipstick dupes in this entire guide is the Lipstories 07 Love Love lipstick, which is a great MAC Bronx lipstick dupe.
MAC Bronx is part of the Retro Matte lipstick range, which means if you don’t wear it with the MAC Prep + Prime for lips underneath, you can kiss your lips goodbye – no pun intended.
Although the Sephora Lipstories 07 has a matte finish, it’s still much more comfortable than the Bronx lipstick. Also, it’s a tiny bit darker, but they’re still interchangeable in my opinion.

Best MAC Lipstick Dupes: Lipstories 09 Labyrinth City for Del Rio
One of the best MAC lipstick dupes here today is the Sephora Lipstories in 09 Labyrinth City, which is a matte lipstick, and a beautiful muted brownish plum color.
For that reason, if you’re looking for the perfect MAC Del Rio lipstick dupe, you’ve got a great shade here.
For the longest time, I thought that Del Rio and Retro (from the same Satin range) were interchangeable, but Del Rio is much more muted and plum brown, and the Sephora Lipstories 09 is a great match for that one.

Best MAC Dupes: Lipstories 10 Yum Yum for Paramount
The MAC Paramount lipstick is one of my ultimate, ultimate favorite MAC brown lipsticks; it was one of the first shades I ever got, and knowing that Jennifer Aniston wore it as Rachel Greene always made me feel kind of fancy when I wore it too.
If you’re looking for the best Sephora dupes for the MAC Paramount lipstick, you’ve got the shade 10 Yum Yum, which is also a satin lipstick, and a beautiful reddish brown color.
Perfect on medium skin, dark skin, Asian skin, and quite anyone in between if you want to rock brown lips.

Best Sephora MAC Lipstick Dupes: Lipstories 12 Celebrate for Flat Out Fabulous
Bit of a long shot with this one, the Sephora Lipstories 12 Celebrate, which I feel is pretty close to MAC Flat Out Fabulous.
I have always loved the MAC Flat Out Fabulous lipstick, but my very favorite MAC lipstick was actually the Retro Matte Liquid in Tailored to Tease.
It was discontinued, so if you’re ever looking for a beautiful winter MAC lipstick, Flat Out Fabulous really is the real deal.
With the Sephora Lipstories 12 lipstick, you’ve got a pretty good dupe – a little bit pinker, but honestly not that different.

Best Sephora Dupes for MAC: Lipstories 22 A Little Magic for Russian Red
If you like the MAC Russian Red lipstick but want to find something a little bit cheaper, a good dupe is the Sephora Lipstories in 22 A Little Magic.
It’s a matte red lipstick like Russian Red, but it is undeniably more comfortable than the MAC lipstick.
Depending on the lighting, the Sephora dupe might look a bit lighter, and I think you could also make it pass as the Ruby Woo lipstick – it honestly could be both.

Best MAC Lipstick Dupes: Lipstories 26 All Washed Up for All Fired Up
I love my bright pink lipsticks; especially raspberry lipsticks, and with the Sephora Lipstories 26 in All Washed Up, you’ve got a really good MAC All Fired Up lipstick dupe.
Both are really bright, with the slightest tinge of red in the color that keeps them bright pink, but a bit more wearable (or a lot more wearable than Candy Yum Yum or Pink Pigeon).
The difference with the Sephora Lipstories 26 is that it’s a satin lipstick, which means you’ve got a shiny finish, whereas the MAC All Fired Up lipstick is a Retro Matte lipstick, super, super matte, and drying.
Best Sephora Lipstick Dupes for MAC: Lipstories 29 Malt Shake for Media
With the Sephora Lipstories 29 in Malt Shake, I’ve got a good dupe for the MAC Media lipstick – and something really close to the MAC Diva lipstick as well.
Malt Shake is part of the Sephora Lipstories satin range, which means it’s definitely going to be closer in texture to Media.
It’s also a wee bit lighter than both Media and Diva, but still really good considering the price point if you like burgundy lipsticks in fall and winter.

Best MAC Sephora Lipstick Dupes: Lipstories 30 Matinee for Brick-o-La
I have always felt like the MAC Brick-o-La lipstick was an oh-too-underrated MAC lipstick. It does look great on most skin tones, from Asian skin to medium skin, and lots of pale and fair skin tones.
A really, really good Brick-o-La dupe is the Sephora Lipstories 30 Matinee lipstick.
You’ve got the same muted brownish-red color, and I’m actually also thinking that if you’re looking for some kind of MAC Retro lipstick dupe, you’re not too far off with the Lipstories 30 lipstick either.

Best MAC Sephora Lipstick Dupes: Lipstories 32 Berry-licious for Rebel
The Sephora Lipstories lipstick 32 Berry-licious is just slightly darker than the worldwide famous MAC Rebel lipstick but other than that, the underlying base is the exact same kind of bright purple color.
And I’m here for it – although it’s not one of the most exact Sephora MAC lipstick dupes, the Lipstories 32 Berry-licious can definitely pass as the MAC Rebel lipstick, especially on medium to dark skin tones.
Utterly beautiful if you’re looking for winter MAC lipsticks and want to save on that makeup budget.

Best MAC Lipstick Dupes: Sephora Lipstories 33 Wanderlust for Sin
One of the closest MAC lipstick dupes from the Sephora Lipstories collection is the shade 33 Wanderlust, almost an exact dupe for the MAC Sin lipstick.
We’ve got two beautiful dark burgundy lipsticks with a matte finish, although the Sephora version is a bit more comfortable than the Sin lipstick to wear on daily basis.
Other than that, the dark burgundy lipsticks are really similar, with quite the same ratio of red to darkness – one of the most exact MAC dupes in the Sephora Lipstories lipsticks.

Best MAC Dupes: Sephora Lipstories 36 Spring Break for Twig
If you’re looking for a MAC Twig lipstick dupe, the Sephora Lipstories 36 Spring Break lipstick is not too far off. The Twig lipstick is a bit more brown-toned than Spring Break, which oscillates between warm pink and brown.
Other than that, both lipsticks have a creamy finish, satin, and are quite hydrating compared to the MAC matte lipsticks.
Despite the slightly more warm-toned color of the Sephora Lipstories 36 lipstick, I do think that it can be a good dupe for Twig, but it could also pass as Brick-o-La depending on the skin tone.

Best MAC Lipstick Dupes: Lipstories 58 But First Coffee for Consensual
I love my brown MAC lipsticks, from Velvet Teddy to Film Noir and Paramount, and even lighter shades like Taupe and Mocha.
The MAC Consensual lipstick is one of the darker brown lipsticks at MAC, and if you’re looking for a good Sephora dupe, you’ve got the Lipstories 58 But First Coffee lipstick.
The Consensual lipstick has a slightly more yellow undertone than the Antique Velvet lipstick, as does the Sephora Lipstories But First Coffee lipstick – and would be perfect to wear with the Cork lip liner to match that undertone perfectly.

Best MAC Lipstick Dupes: Sephora Lipstories 59 Vacation Goals for Stone
Well, the MAC Stone lipstick doesn’t exist anymore, but I still wanted to tell you about the Sephora Lipstories 59 in Vacation Goals.
Why? Because if you’re used to wearing the Stone lip liner on its own to get that taupe greige lipstick look going, you’re going to be really happy with the Sephora Vacation Goals lipstick.
The MAC Stone lipstick used to be much greyer than the Sephora Lipstories version, but you’ve still got a great MAC lipstick dupe here, especially since the color is one you can’t easily find.
Best Sephora MAC Lipstick Dupes: Lipstories 65 Spiked for Mehr
For starters, the Sephora Lipstories 65 Spiked lipstick is a matte mauve lipstick. For seconds, the MAC Mehr lipstick is the same, but a bit more drying.
It’s true that the Sephora Lipstories version might be a bit more comfortable to wear than the Mehr lipstick, but when it comes to the color, you’ve got a great MAC lipstick dupe to wear on a daily basis.
If you’ve been here before, you know I love, love, love mauve MAC lipsticks, and Mehr is obviously one of my favorites, especially since it looks really good on my fair olive skin tone.
So if you’re looking for a really good MAC Mehr lipstick dupe but don’t want to splurge, you’ve got a great option with the Spiked lipstick.
