Let’s talk a little bit about all the best MAC Oak lip liner dupes today, since it’s clearly one of the most famous MAC lip liners this year!
I’ve talked about quite a few of the best MAC Chestnut lip liner dupes, as well as beautiful drugstore lip liner options you have if you’re looking for cheap alternatives for Whirl, Soar and Spice.
Little by little, we’re on the way to covering all the coolest MAC dupes for lip liners and lipsticks.
And actually, I did start this full guide series with a post about MAC Velvet Teddy dupes, in which you can find many beloved drugstore brands.
Those guides range from Kiko products to beautiful NYX Slim lip liner dupes for MAC, and many other still-underrated brands.
And today, we’re going to put to good use my makeup artist background by helping you find affordable and stunning MAC Oak lip liner dupes!
9 Affordable MAC Oak Lip Liner Dupes For A Natural Look
I’m going to be very transparent with you – good luck with finding plenty of MAC Oak lip liner dupes.
Although it is one of the best MAC lip liners for fair skin and pale skin, it just seems that shades like Stripdown, Spice and Whirl are much more coveted.
That was until Sofia Richie wore a nude lip combination using the MAC Oak lip liner for her wedding.
All hell broke loose.
And well, roughly the same thing happened when Kylie Jenner talked about using the MAC Soar lip liner – it sold out.
So if you check for the MAC Cosmetics makeup stores and see that the Oak lip liner is out of stock, fear not.
I’ve got a few good alternatives here for you, from Morphe to Golden Rose, and from NYX to Colourpop!
Disclaimer: a dupe is a product which color resembles the real deal closely.
As much as possible, I will tell you about the difference in undertone, hue and tone.
To the best of my understanding and after much research, these are currently the best MAC Oak lip liner dupes…
And makeup dupes which are still available on the market now.
I don’t see a point in showing you makeup brands that don’t carry the dupe anymore, so hopefully, you’ll find what you need here!
I’ve always loved the Golden Rose lip liners, especially the Dream Lips Liners.
They were some of my first lip liners ever, when I started out in makeup and actually, one of the best MAC Oak lip liner dupes is the Golden Rose lip liner in 223.
The color is not too far off, and as for the price, this is one of the cheapest options you have.
There are plenty of good Golden Rose dupes for MAC lip liners, too, which you shouldn’t overlook if you’re on a budget.
As for those looking for a MAC Oak lip liner dupe online, in the USA and the UK, you can get the Golden Rose products online.
Since this is one of the best Turkish makeup brands ever created, you can also get it in makeup stores in Istanbul, as well as in some makeup stores in Eastern Europe pretty easily.
The Golden Rose lip liner in 223 is smooth, glides really well, and is overall creamier than the MAC Oak lip liner while providing almost the same shade, albeit a tad lighter.
Note: there are also really good Golden Rose dupes for MAC lipsticks to shop for if you’d like to spend less than $5 on the same amazing nude, pink and red lipsticks!
One of the best drugstore MAC Oak lip liner dupes you’ll be able to find is the LA Girl Perfect Precision lip liner in Bare.
There are also plenty of amazing LA Girl dupes for MAC lip liners which I’ll talk about soon.
Indeed, this is probably one of the most performant American drugstore makeup brands, and if you’ve read other guides here, you’ll have seen LA Girl already.
There are some really cool MAC Spice lip liner dupes from LA Girl, for instance.
And if you’re dark-skinned and can’t seem to find a good dupe for MAC Cork, you’ll also find it in this brand.
Overall, for those looking for the perfect MAC Oak lip liner dupe, you’ll find that the LA Girl Bare lip liner retails for about 1/4 of the price, and is super creamy and longlasting.
Just a really cool alternative, especially if you’ve never tried the Oak lip liner and aren’t sure if the shade is perfect for your skin tone.
I am yet to write the complete guide to the best Colourpop lip liner dupes for MAC, but I’ve already mentioned a handful on The Working Line.
Granted, I’ve mostly talked about other Colourpop products, like some options for the perfect Colourpop eyeshadow palettes for blue eyes.
And the best Colourpop Lippie Stix for all types of skin tones.
The Colourpop Cool BFF lip liner is another really good option if you’re after a cheap MAC Oak lip liner dupe.
The color is slightly different, maybe a little bit cooler-toned, less brown than Oak, though.
However, at $7 a pop, I’m guessing this is still worth a try – you may end up liking the Colourpop Lippie Pencil better, who knows!
Peaches & Cream does offer a few good MAC lip liner dupes, from Whirl to Oak.
And since we’re looking for cheap alternatives for the Oak lip liner, take a look at the Peaches & Cream lip liner in Praline.
It’s one of those classic types of brown lip liners, really similar to the MAC Oak shade, and perfect to wear on a daily basis.
Another really good option since the Peaches & Cream Praline lip liner retails for a handful of dollars, too.
That means if you’re also looking for a MAC Whirl lip liner dupe, you could just get both and still pay less than one MAC lip liner!
I already wrote about the best NYX lip liner dupes for MAC some time ago, and you’ve been able to see in that guide a few dupes for Soar, Stripdown, Ruby Woo, and many more.
One of the cheapest, coolest, most pigmented and most accessible MAC Oak lip liner dupes is the NYX Nude Beige Slim Lip Liner.
When I started out in makeup, I bought almost all the NYX Slim Lip Liners, and unfortunately, since I moved across the world, I couldn’t keep them all.
But for future makeup artists, or for makeup enthusiasts on a budget, I always recommend starting out with the NYX lip liners.
The shade Nude Beige is actually not too far off from the MAC Oak lip liner, and it only retails for $4 at the time of writing.
Plus, if you’re ever looking for other shades, like a MAC Ruby Woo lip liner dupe, you’re sure to find what you’re looking for at NYX.
I talked about some of the Kiko lip liners in my guide to the best Kiko products a while back, and the Everlasting Colour Precision range is one of the best.
To be honest, I’ve always loved the Kiko Smart Fusion lip liners better, simply because the range is utterly huge.
And because you have lots of possible Kiko Smart Fusion dupes for MAC lip liners, too.
The price of these is only a couple of dollars, so they’re probably the cheapest lip liners around, perfect if you’re starting out.
However, if you’re looking for a good MAC Oak lip liner dupe, you will find the closest one in the Everlasting Colour Precision Lip Liner range in the shade 402.
This is not an exact dupe, however, you do have that same slight grey undertone that makes the MAC Oak lip liner so unmistakable.
It glides on the lips super easily, and the finish is completely matte, which means you can wear it on its own too.
On another note, if you’re ever looking for an amazing MAC Beet lip liner dupe, there is one in the Kiko Everlasting Lip Colour range!

I’ve talked about a couple of Morphe lip liner dupes for MAC here on The Working Line, and for Oak, you’re going to have to take a look at the Color Pencil in Sweetheart.
There are quite a few good MAC lip liner dupes in the Morphe range, and the Color Pencil shades are super trendy.
Quite understandable, given how social media-oriented the Morphe products are, right?
The Morphe Sweetheart Color Pencil is almost the same shade as the MAC Oak lip liner, with that same grey undertone.
Super easy to use, and even creamier than the MAC lip liners, it makes for a great alternative that only retails for $6!
If you like the classic NYX lip liners but would actually like to try the Suede Matte lip liner range, the shade Sandstorm is not too shabby a MAC Oak lip liner dupe.
Especially since it retails for $5, so one fourth of the MAC lip liners price.
Actually, the most perfect NYX dupe for MAC Oak I’ve found is in the shade Munchies, but from my understanding, it’s been discontinued.
The Suede Matte lip liner in Sandstorm is slightly darker than Oak, with a bit more of a warm undertone to it.
However, when using it as you would in a MAC Oak lip liner and lipstick combo, with a lighter lipstick or lipgloss, you wouldn’t really notice the difference.
Compared to the Slim Lip liner range, the Suede Matte lip liners are less creamy, and more similar in texture to the MAC lip liners, too, so that’s overall a good option to have at hand!

I’m not too acquainted with the Maybelline Color Sensational lip liners; I’ve only used a couple so far.
To be honest, it’s one of these drugstore makeup brands I love but have never used so much (for a reason I can’t explain myself).
Aside from the Superstay liquid matte lipsticks, which are forever some of my favorites, of course!
I’m much more acquainted with British drugstore makeup brands like MUA or Barry M (by the way, there are plenty of MAC lip liner dupes from Barry M, from Soar to Whirl and Cherry!).
Another really cool MAC Oak lip liner dupe is the Maybelline Color Sensational lip liner in 105 Nude Whisper.
Super creamy, really pigmented, it can retail up to $10 depending on where you get it, but it’s also a really cool option, especially if you choose to pair it with a Maybelline matte lipstick.
The real upside of the Maybelline Color Sensational lip liners is how precise they are, which means you lose no product, and can draw those crisp lines in one go.
The color of the 105 Nude Whisper lip liner is roughly similar to MAC Oak, slightly lighter, but with the same undertone perfect for nude lip combos.
9 Affordable MAC Oak Lip Liner Dupes For A Natural Look
There you have them, all the possible MAC Oak lip liner dupes!
I’ve tried to stick to drugstore makeup brands, and to shades that are as close to MAC Oak as possible.
Hopefully, you’ll have found here some really cool alternative to create beautiful nude lip combos!
Until next time!
