If you’re ever looking for the best MAC lipstick for redheads, you’ll find plenty of cool shades here.
Some of the most popular MAC lipstick shades for redheads, but not only – shades that can also look absolutely stunning for blondes, and for fair skin with cool undertones.
In any case, I’d been meaning to write about MAC lipsticks for red hair for quite some time, and I’m really happy I’m finally getting around to it.
I’ll probably write about MAC lipstick shades for blondes at some point too, especially since there are quite a few beautiful matte MAC lipsticks, and lots of Amplified lipsticks that could look astonishing when they contrast with light hair.
10 Best MAC Lipstick for Redheads from Red Rock to Rebel
Simply because they are some of the most popular MAC lipstick shades for redheads and blondes, and you can basically find them on any blog you’re going to read about the most beautiful MAC lipsticks for cool undertones.
No, what I wanted to do with this guide is enlighten you about some of the best MAC lipsticks for redheads that you probably wouldn’t have thought of.
You know, that kind of shade we’re all kind of afraid of wearing at one point or another… but that looks really beautiful on pale and fair skin, whether you have cool or warm undertones.
Bright cleanest pink
The MAC Pink Pigeon lipstick is one of the most popular MAC lipstick shades for redheads whether you’re looking for a beautiful winter lipstick color or something for the middle of the summer.
Pink Pigeon is part of the matte lipstick range, and when you’ve got fair skin, especially with cool undertones, it’s probably one of the most beautiful MAC pink lipsticks you can select.
Very matte vivid blue-red
The MAC Ruby Woo lipstick really needs no introduction – it’s one of the most popular MAC lipstick for redheads, blondes, and anyone from Indian skin to Asian skin, and medium skin.
The only kind of skin tone I would rather apply Viva Glam 1 and Russian Red on rather than Ruby Woo is dark skin tones, as I just feel it looks a bit more sophisticated.
However, if you’re looking for the best MAC red lipstick for redheads and blonde hair, you’ve really got a beautiful shade with the Ruby Woo lipstick.
Couple it with the Ruby Woo lip liner, one of the most beautiful and brightest red MAC lip liner shades, and either wear it matte or with clear Lipglass on top.
However, whatever you do, do wear the Prep + Prime for lips underneath – you’ll thank me later.
Classic clean red
With my fair olive skin (I wear MAC NW15 in foundation), it looks really beautiful, and even when I dye my hair red, it still looks stunning.
Rather a perfect MAC lipstick for redheads when spring and summer are around rather than for fall and wintertime, though.
Beautifully matte, and quite easy to wear if you’re used to red lipsticks – and in my opinion, one of the best MAC red lipsticks for blonde hair, especially if you also tend to tan easily.
Midtonal cream plum
Next up, you have one of the brightest purple MAC lipsticks, and probably the best MAC lipstick for redheads looking for a bit of color during fall and winter: the Satin Rebel lipstick.
It’s one of my favorites, and on really pale and fair skin, the MAC Rebel lipstick looks stunning, especially if you’ve got blue, cool undertones.
Rebel is probably one of the most ‘magical’ lipstick shades from MAC, as it’s really one of these colors that look amazing on almost absolutely everyone from Indian skin to Asian skin, dark skin to super pale skin.
The Satin finish gives it some extra comfort, and the Rebel lipstick contrasts beautifully with really orange, copper, and red hair.
Add a bit of cool-toned pink or purplish blush, some light pink eyeshadow, and a touch of mascara, and you’re good to go.
If you’re ever looking for the best burgundy MAC lipstick for redheads, I’ve got a good one for you: the Satin lipstick Media. It’s totally true I could have chosen the Diva lipstick as well since both shades are quite similar.
It’s just that as you get darker in the lipstick shade on pale skin, I’d rather add some light any way I can so it doesn’t get all goth (unless that’s the look you’re going for).
This is why I do think that if you’re looking for burgundy lipstick for fall and wintertime, and for occasions, the MAC Media lipstick, with its slightly shiny finish, will look amazing on redheads and blondes.
There isn’t one person I think raspberry lipstick doesn’t look good.
I’ve always felt berry lipsticks were some of the most flattering shades whether you’re a redhead, have super light blonde hair, or have Indian or super dark skin.
The MAC Lovers Only lipstick is one of the newest Amplified lipsticks, and while there are many more popular MAC lipsticks than the Amplified range, Lovers Only is beautiful whether it’s spring or winter.
Super bright, a real raspberry lipstick color, which you can combine with the Beet lip liner, or something a bit more purple like the Nightmoth lip liner to create a bit more colorful dimension to your lips.
Vivid bright coral-red
One of the most beautiful MAC orange lipsticks is, and will forever remain Lady Danger. It’s part of the matte lipstick range, and it’s really red-toned, which means a lot of people can wear it.
If you’ve got pale or fair skin with cool undertones, I’d recommend wearing some warm-toned blush (like Peaches or Gingerly, but super lightly for Gingerly), as well as bronzer.
Those looking for the best MAC lipstick for redheads for spring and summer will be delighted with the Lady Danger lipstick.
Whether you’ve got brownish-red hair or super bright red hair, that’s probably one of the only MAC lipsticks I’d apply on redheads – to whom I usually recommend refraining from using orange lipstick.
Mid-tone mauve pink
I had to include at least one nude pink MAC lipstick in this guide to the best MAC lipstick shades for redheads and blondes.
Of course, redheads can wear nude lipsticks, but I’d always recommend going for something more pink than brown.
The most popular MAC lipstick shade when you’re going for a nude look is the Mehr lipstick (and probably also the Velvet Teddy lipstick – have you checked all the best Velvet Teddy lipstick dupes I’ve found for you, by the way?).
Mehr is definitely the best MAC lipstick for redheads when you want a color that shows up without overtaking the whole look.
There are also lots of beautiful MAC Mehr lipstick and liner combos you can create if you want to add more depth to the look, from the Whirl lip liner to something brighter like the Beet lip liner.
You can wear it with some really light blue eyeshadow, or a beautiful metallic green eyeliner (both are colors that contrast amazingly with red hair and blonde hair), or even just with mascara and you’re good to go.
Again, another beautiful MAC berry lipstick, which was also one of my very first purchases: the D for Danger lipstick.
I’m yet to write about the best D for Danger lipstick dupes, and honestly, on blondes and redheads, it is a killer look.
D for Danger is sometimes described as a brick red, and sometimes as a mid-toned berry. In my opinion, if you’ve got fair skin with blue undertones or warm undertones, it’s one of the most sophisticated colors you can go for.
Of course, depending on the skin tone, the MAC D for Danger lipstick looks brighter or darker, and more raspberry, or more berry.
What I usually do is just combine it with the Beet lip liner or something like Nightmoth or the Cork lip liner, with just some mascara or a sharp black eyeliner wing.
Basically, whether you’re looking for the best MAC lipstick for redheads or blondes, D for Danger makes the whole look, and you don’t have to make much effort to make it look amazing.
Bright fuschia matte
Last on our list, is another one of the best MAC lipstick for redheads; the Retro Matte All Fired Up lipstick.
If you’ve got fair skin with blue undertones, red hair, blonde hair, or are a brunette, this is one of the most popular MAC lipstick shades for summer.
It’s really dry since it’s part of the Retro Matte lipstick range, so you’re really going to want to wear it with a lip primer underneath – otherwise, your lips will turn paper dry.
Clearly, still, the mix of red and pink in this beautiful bright lipstick is perfect for summer – and even for the dead of winter, when you really need some color to keep you going.

If you still need a bit of help, I have written a lot of MAC lipstick guides by color and texture, from the beautiful Love Me lipstick range to the stunning matte lipsticks.
