If you’ve been here before, you know I love finding the best halal cafes in London, and romantic halal restaurants where you can get some of the most delicious brunch, halal buffet, and halal Chinese food in London.

Little by little, I’m finding more and more amazing places, and today, I felt like writing about halal Turkish food in London.

There’s a lot to discover, from delicious halal Turkish breakfast to halal brunch spots where you can eat awesome sucuk and eggs.

8 Best Turkish Halal Restaurants in London With Tasty Food

Before we get started, a little disclaimer:

I pay great attention to the halal status of the meats served in the restaurants I mention.

If I can find HMC halal restaurants in London, I’ll mention them here.

If only a portion of the meats used is halal, I will let you know.

Of course, if alcohol and/or pork are served, you will also be made aware in each of the halal articles I write on The Working Line.

I do, however, urge you to always check out the restaurant’s website/social media, or give them a call to make sure they are still halal, or that they’re still using the same suppliers.

Sometimes, the restaurants change suppliers without notice, so I might not have the time or the knowledge to update the guides in time for you.

Now that this is said, let’s get on with the best Turkish halal restaurants in London!

Best Halal Turkish Restaurants in London: Kervan Sofrasi

Kervan Sofrasi has got to be one of the most famous Turkish halal restaurants in London.

I first mentioned it in my guide to the best halal restaurants in Edmonton, a part of North London where the Turkish population is huge.

And actually, Kervan Sofrasi has two branches in Edmonton, with the Hertford Road restaurant being the flagship of the brand.

There, you’ll taste some of the finest halal Turkish food in London.

Accompanied by twinkling lights and beautiful, warm decor, this is one of the most romantic halal restaurants in London for whoever wants to bring their other half to the discovery of new flavors.

One of Kervan Sofrasi’s specialties is the charcoal grill, where a plethora of delicious skewers are cooked for lunch and dinner.

At the beginning of the meal, you’ll be offered some amazing hors d’oeuvres, and I promise that unless you’re used to eating lots, you’ll almost be full before the mains arrive.

If you’re looking for the best halal Turkish in London, this is one of the restaurants where you’ll feel most at home.

Dress up, and enjoy the friendly service and incredible sauces dressing the grilled meats.

For those after the best halal steak in London, that’s one of the Turkish halal restaurants in London that will replace a full block of meat with delicately seasoned Kebab meat.

Unforgettable.

Turkish Halal Restaurants in London: Gokyuzu

Turkish halal restaurants in london - best halal Turkish london - halal posh restaurants in london - romantic halal restaurants london - halal turkish breakfast london - halal turkish food in london - halal cafes london - gokyuzu
Photo: Gokyuzu

I used to live in North Finchley, and the first time I visit Gokyuzu was their branch near The Vue and Hollywood Bowl.

That is swiftly one of the best Turkish halal restaurants in London, with utterly huge space inside – and outside.

If you’d like to have some outdoor dining fun, Gokyuzu North Finchley has a covered terrace that allows you to see outside.

All the food I tasted there was some of the most delicious halal Turkish food I’ve ever had in London.

The prices are quite affordable – yet, you’ll still feel like you’re having a posh dining experience.

When you first arrive at Gokyuzu, you’re welcomed with a few different dips and fresh mixed salad as well as Turkish bread.

That was the first time I ever really visited a Turkish restaurant (as Turkish food in France oftentimes is assimilated to doner kebab, and that’s about it).

One thing I can say is that I was completely full before my lamb kebab arrived.

That’s what this North London restaurant is about, filling you up with the tastiest Turkish food.

Lahmacun, pide, charcoal grilled kebab, chicken wings, and many more amazing entrees and mains sit proudly on the Gokyuzu menu.

With quite affordable prices and a setting that makes you feel at home, it’s one of the best Turkish halal restaurants in London for a reason.

Best Halal Turkish Restaurants in London: Tarshish

Photo: Tarshish

Tarshish on Turnpike Lane is one of the Turkish halal restaurants in London closest to Wood Green and The Mall where I happen to spend a lot of time.

Wood Green also hosts one of the best free libraries in London, a branch of Kervan Sofrasi, and lots of amazing street food places where you can get anything from Italian to Korean food.

Tarshish is one of the only Turkish halal restaurants in London with a view, and since it’s located in North London, it’s very close to my house.

Hop off at Wood Green station, and you’ll taste some of the most delicious charcoal-grilled meats of your life.

The roof terrace restaurant offers that kind of halal fine dining experience you’d usually find in restaurants in Mayfair and Central London.

So, if you’d like to get your other half to taste some amazing kebab, lamb chops, smoked aubergines, and mixed grills that feel elevated, Tarshish should be your next destination.

It’s a bit posher than other Turkish halal restaurants in London, and the price follows.

It’s still affordable for a romantic date or an occasion, and if you’re feeling like tasting the best halal steak in London, their chargrilled rib eye steak is totally worth it.
