If you’re looking for delicious and affordable halal restaurants in East London, you’re really going to be happy today.

A while ago, I told you about the best halal burgers in London and the best halal fine dining spots.

But I do know that East London halal restaurants have got a vibe that you cannot find anywhere else in London. That is where I specifically find the best halal breakfast in London, in places like Grounded and Dulce Cafe.

However, I also know that as a freelance writer and blogger, I am often on a budget and most of the time, I will be looking for affordable halal restaurants in East London.

Between us, that is amazing. Why?

Because there are lots of places like KFC halal in London that offer some really cheap alternatives to halal Michelin star restaurants for instance.

So, if you’re ready to embark on the quest to the best East London restaurants with halal food, let’s get to it!

12 Best Halal Restaurants in East London

Just a little disclaimer before we go on about the best affordable halal restaurants in East London: I want you to be able to eat the best halal steak, burgers, and fine dining food possible.

I pay close attention to the halal status of the restaurants mentioned here.

As such, I tell you when only a portion of the meat used at the restaurants is halal, and I tell you as much as possible if that restaurant also serves pork and alcohol.

However, since the restaurants can change suppliers without notice, make sure you double-check by calling the restaurant before booking or checking their website/social media.

That way, you can make the choice for yourself and taste the best halal breakfast in London, brunch bites, burgers, sandwiches, and more amazing food.

Best East London Halal Restaurants: Dulce Cafe

Dulce Cafe is one of the East London halal restaurants that I am most fond of.

I discovered it years ago, when I first moved to London, and the food, the service, and the atmosphere, everything has just gotten better as time went by.

If you are looking for a halal full English breakfast in London, this is my favorite place.

It is absolutely stunning and although the decoration is quite lowkey, Dulce Cafe has got some of the best halal food in East London at a very affordable price.

I go there over and over again for their delicious fluffy pancakes, and the Aldgate East-established cafe also offers lunch bites and snacks for the afternoon.

You will be able to eat their amazing halal English breakfast, smoothies, pasta, sandwiches, and more amazing deliciousness.

This is one of the most affordable halal restaurants in London, and the Moroccan owner is a delight to all customers. Delicious food and really a great team that makes you want to come back and treat yourself.

Best Halal Restaurants in East London: Rosa’s Thai London Fields

I love Rosa’s Thai and I think that the London Fields branch is one of the most underrated and affordable East London halal restaurants.

Located on Mentmore Terrace, Rosa’s Thai Cafe is absolutely delicious.

It is not that hard to come across halal Thai food in London, but Rosa’s Thai cafe has got this little something that no other halal Thai restaurants in London have.

There, the food is full of flavor and quite cheap compared to other halal restaurants in Central London.

I have eaten at Rosa’s Thai cafe some of the best-glazed chicken wings and halal pad Thai in my life.

Since all their restaurants around London are halal, this is definitely a place you should visit.

If you’re ever looking for halal restaurants in Soho, they do have a branch there, and their sweet corn cakes, and rice and noodle dishes are worth a try at least once in your life.

I mentioned Korean BBQ & Vegan in my guide to the best halal Korean BBQ in London some time ago, and the East London joint is absolutely delicious.

It is one of the most famous halal Korean restaurants in London, that’s for sure, but it is also one of the most affordable halal restaurants in East London.

I am crazy about Korean food, especially Korean barbecue, and this restaurant is completely HMC certified.

There, you will have authentic bibimbap, kimchi, and obviously, stir-fried veggies and meat that boast more flavor than a lot of restaurants I have ever been to.

Korean BBQ & Vegan does not serve either pork or alcohol, so you’re really in a great place to enjoy halal food.

The restaurant is located on Mile End Road very close to Bethnal Green, so it is quite easy to access Korean BBQ & Vegan by stopping at either Mile End or Stepney Green stations.

Definitely one of the best halal restaurants in East London if you are a student studying abroad or a freelancer on a budget . Or if you’re a family and want to treat quite a few people to a nice dinner.

If you’re looking for affordable but a bit more high class halal restaurants in East London, you’ve got Thai n Pie.

It’s a very interesting address to keep in your book whether you’re ever looking for halal breakfast places in London or dinner date-type restaurants.

Thai n Pie offers that creative Thai experience in a kind of fine dining setting, with amazing service and some more down-to-earth Asian food dishes as well.

Thai n Pie really is one of the overall best affordable halal restaurants in East London. It is quite popular, and lots of people visit it on a daily basis.

The main attraction, of course, is their pies, resembling a lot of British mince meat pies traditionally served with delicious mash and gravy.

That’s a dish I love, and being able to find different ones in East London halal restaurants is a blast. Especially given the price.

This is some really delicious halal fine dining, at an East London bill total. Tucked away in Mile End, I feel like Thai and Pie deserves the spotlight.

Their countless dishes are all better than the previous one, with the pies, lamb chops, and sea bass being the star of the show.

Best East London Halal Restaurants: Sushi Bar Brick Lane

Some time ago, I told you in my guide to the best halal burger places in London about Band of Burgers.

And delicious, it really is. Well, that restaurant located on Brick Lane is definitely a two-in-one, and one of the best halal restaurants in East London.

Come to think of it, it’s quite funny that a burger place would have a sushi bar on the premises.

But when both types of cuisines are different and delicious, it actually makes for the perfect dinner date destination.

With its location on Osborne Street, Sushi Bar is definitely accessible easily, and it’s actually quite affordable for anyone looking for halal sushi in London.

There is much more than sushi available there, to be fair.

I, for one, am very much after halal chicken katsu from time to time, just because of how easy and delicious this dish is.

If you’re really interested in Japanese culture, you’ll be happy with their amazing bento boxes.

Definitely one of the best and most affordable halal restaurants in East London, especially given the portions and freshness of the food.

Grounded is one of the halal restaurants in East London I visit the most. Why? Because everything on the extensively fresh menu to the service, is to-die-for.

They don’t offer only the best halal burgers in East London, but also the most delicious halal Full English Breakfast.

You’d actually think I have a subscription to their Full English, given the number of times I have been to Grounded Whitechapel to have a taste of it.

And a little tip, if you’re looking for the best study cafes in London, Grounded is perfect after the rush of breakfast and brunch.

I’m always looking for the best halal breakfast in London near me, and I actually came across Grounded almost by chance.

There, I tried some of the best food I’ve ever eaten in London.

That includes delicious pancakes, but also crumpets and scones, two items we don’t usually eat in France at all.

Of course, as I said, I do think they have some of the best halal Full English breakfast in London.

With crispy turkey rashers and juicy beef sausages, with roasted tomatoes and sourdough toast, their halal English breakfast is deliciously decadent.

This is the only East London halal restaurant in this guide whose halal breakfast retails for over a tenner.

However, that independent restaurant definitely deserves every penny you’ll pay, as much in terms of service as in terms of food quality and taste.

Most of the items, though, are still very affordable, so I do consider Grounded to be one of the cheapest halal restaurants in East London.

Best East London Halal Restaurants: Coffee Garden

Coffee Garden in Leytonstone might not be right next to Central London, but that’s definitely one of the most underrated halal restaurants in East London.

If you’re looking for a place that will cater to your halal brunch needs, that’s where you need to go.

It is one of the most secret eateries when it comes to halal breakfast, brunch, lunch, or even dinner.

Very local, it is almost only frequented by people who know about the place because they live nearby.

It’s as much a shame as it is to praise, as you’re almost sure to get a seat at every hour of the day.

The decor and atmosphere are really nice, and you’ll spend a great moment at Coffee Garden as if you were having lunch in a halal fine dining restaurant in London.

The food is fresh and incredibly flavorful, from the halal English breakfast to the toasties and pastries – do try their Red Velvet Cake! That’s one of my favorite cakes in London, and delicious at Coffee Garden.

If you’re ever looking for a halal restaurant in East London that won’t break the bank, that is definitely it.

The upside is that since Coffee Garden is in Leytonstone, it is very reasonably priced.

While couples could go there on a romantic date on a Saturday morning, it is also a family friendly halal cafe that deserves all the attention it can get.

It’s not too difficult to find halal Japanese restaurants in London anymore, but still, you often have to really look to be sure.

And with Sushi Masago and their entirely halal menu, you’re bound to love it – and come back again and again.

They do have halal dumplings in addition to delicious sushi platters and bento boxes.

The fish is fresh, and you’d feel like you’re eating in a Michelin star restaurant when you taste the food from the ends of your chopsticks.

If you’re ever looking for an affordable halal restaurant in East London but don’t want to spend too much, we’ve got Saffron Kitchen serving food that will remind you of Indian fine dining right in the heart of East London.

They probably have some of the most delicious curry meals there, and since it’s a family-run restaurant, I’ll definitely visit again and again.

It is very important to me, as a freelancer, to support small businesses. And since Saffron Kitchen serves HMC-certified halal food, why not?

The food is fresh and served fast, and the service is that kind of high-end which will make you feel like you’re dining in a fine dining restaurant.

Obviously, since this is an HMC halal restaurant, there is no alcohol or pork on the menu.

Completely halal food, with delicious dishes that oscillate between tradition and modernism.

The butter chicken main is one of my favorite dishes, and it’s one of the dishes I always try when I visit an Indian restaurant.

If you’d like to try something new, their lamb curry and masala chips are worth more than one go.

Seriously one of the best East London halal restaurants whether for a date or to chill out with your friends during the week.

Best Halal Restaurants in East London: Fiore dell’Amore Brick Lane

If you’re ever looking for a delicious halal Italian restaurant in London, you’re going to be happy you’ve come across Fiore dell’Amore.

Later on, I will definitely write about the best halal Italian food in London, but for now, you should seriously take a look at Fiore dell’Amore on Brick Lane.

Having lived in Rome for a year before I moved back to London, I have kept a love for Italian food and Italian coffee.

It is not possible for me anymore to eat just any kind of food labeled ‘Italian’ without checking that the dishes are actually authentic.

The restaurant offers anything from halal breakfast to dinnertime delicacies, and you’ll be sorry your stomach is so small – everything on the menu is stunning.

Well, Fiore dell’Amore with its crispy squid, halal pasta dishes al dente, amazing pizza dough and Fritto Misto is definitely one of the best halal restaurants in East London.

If you want to sink your teeth in some true, amazing Italian specialties as if you were tasting the best food in Rome, spend some time at Fiore dell’Amore. You’ll love it.

Best East London Halal Restaurants: Patisserie East

Patisserie East is one of the newcomers to the East London halal restaurants scene. It’s one amazing place to write in London if you just want to chill with your notebooks for a while.

Located near the East London Mosque, Patisserie East is open from breakfast to dinner.

They remind me a lot of Dulce Cafe, lower down the road, in that they have some really amazing street food as well as casual bites that will get you up and going again in no time-

Patisserie East is completely halal and holds the HMC certification. If you’re looking for the best halal burgers in London, they do have some very good ones.

Perfect for a laidback romantic date with your significant other, or to have a bite with your brother/sister/friends.

In addition to burgers, sandwiches, and salads for lunch and dinner, Patisserie East, let’s not forget it, is one of the best cafes in London.

I wouldn’t recommend the place to bring your laptop and spend hours there, but definitely just to come and enjoy a chill moment.

It’s still so underrated in my opinion that I cannot believe how that is possible.

But when you’ve got the chance, if you’re looking for the most affordable halal restaurants in East London, that’s a place to try.

Hot beverages, fresh juices, and sandwiches, you’ve got everything you need – all you’d need is a good book to complete the experience.

At some point in time, there was no halal KFC in London. Things have since then changed – a lot.

And happily enough, there is one halal KFC on Whitechapel High Street, very close to Dulce Cafe and Grounded.

Ever since I moved back from Rome to London, and quite naturally, I started visiting KFC a bit more often.

Although I do pay much attention to what I eat and my quality of living, I do love finding myself a good halal burger in London from time to time.

And my favorite, as I mentioned in a past guide, is the Tower Fillet Burger at KFC.

The fact that KFC offers halal food now is incredible, and certainly a step forward for Muslim patrons.

There are other halal KFC in London, including Tottenham Court Road, Tower Hill, Mile End Road, and Bishopsgate – among others.

If you’re looking for the most affordable halal restaurants in East London, I feel like KFC is always a lifesaver.

The great thing is that in the halal KFC shops, everything is completely halal. No need to stress, you can just order and chill. Lovely.
