Humbledough is another kind of vegan bakery that is very easily accessible from Central London.

A lot of different flavors are available; maple roast pecan, Black Forest gateau, strawberries and cream…

With two branches in London, one in Shoreditch and the other one in Croydon, Humbledough has been an institution of raw cookie dough for a few years now.

One of the best vegan bakeries in London, it still does not offer sit-in.

Best Bakeries in London Offering Vegan Cakes

Best Vegan Bakeries in London: Arapina Bakery

Arapina Bakery, dubbed a ‘healthy lifestyle bakery’, offers some of the most delicious vegan cakes in London in Greenwich.

It is not a completely vegan bakery, but it does offer lots of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free cakes so it caters a bit to everyone who would like to follow a healthier way of living.

On the menu, are amazing vegan croissants, salted caramel cookies, fruit tarts, and even gluten-free and vegan macarons.

If you’re looking for a gift for your beloved, heart-shaped vegan macarons are available at Arapina Bakery, one of the only vegan bakeries in London offering this sweet treat.

It’s good to note that most of the vegan cakes are also gluten-free, making Arapina Bakery one of the coolest vegan bakeries in London for whoever has these specific dietary needs.

The Italian names of the cakes are pretty fun, too.

They remind me greatly of the feeling I have when paying a visit to Italian coffee shops in London; a nice touch from Arapina Bakery in my opinion.

Vegan Doughnuts in London: Crosstown Doughnuts

I have mentioned Crosstown Doughnuts in my guide to the best vegan doughnuts in London; their vegan sourdough doughnuts are something out of a dream.

The first time I ever ate at Crosstown Doughnuts was a lime and coconut vegan doughnut if I remember well, and I thought it was absolutely perfect.

I actually didn’t know I was eating a vegan doughnut, to be honest.

Crosstown Doughnuts has vegan doughnuts available in all of their branches, and while they’re not all vegan, they have a fully plant-based shop in Marylebone, where all of the doughnuts are vegan.

Maybe that’s not a bakery as you’d understand it, with the cute little vegan cupcakes and wooden decor.

However, that place makes some of the best vegan doughnuts in London, and it deserves to be mentioned for the seasonal doughnuts as well.

Vegan Cakes in London: Hummingbird Bakery

The Hummingbird Bakery is probably one of the only vegan bakeries in London that I’ll mention here today, that is not completely vegan.

However, they do have a lot of amazing vegan cupcakes that range from vanilla to red velvet, chocolate, and lots of amazing vegan birthday cakes as well.

The Hummingbird Bakery has a few branches across London; the ones I’m accustomed to are situated on Portobello Road, near all the best cafes to work in Notting Hill, and Old Spitalfields Market.

Utterly cute with their pinkish brown decor, The Hummingbird Bakery’s vegan cakes taste delicious even with their eggless and dairy-free recipes. A must-try in London.

Vegan Cupcakes in London: Lola’s Cupcakes

Lola’s Cupcakes, like Crosstown Doughnuts and the Hummingbird Bakery, is not a completely vegan bakery in London, but their collection of vegan cupcakes is otherworldly.

I have tried both the non-vegan and vegan doughnuts at Lola’s Cupcakes, and they’re both delicious; you can barely taste the difference.

The upside of Lola’s Cupcakes is that they have branches all over London, from Covent Garden to King’s Cross, Selfridges, and even Canary Wharf.

The first time I ever ate something from Lola’s Cupcakes was from their cart at London Bridge, close to the Pret a Manger I love so much.

There are fewer options at London Bridge for those looking for vegan cupcakes, that’s true, but they’re still freshly made and stunningly colorful.

From Red Velvet to Fudge and Lemon Raspberry, Lola’s Cupcakes probably offers more vegan cupcakes in London than any other bakery.

Also, if you’re looking for gluten-free cakes and vegan birthday cakes, they have a lot on offer, and they’re all more beautiful than the previous ones.

Best Vegan Bakeries in London: Heart of Cake

Heart of Cake is probably one of the most underrated and best vegan bakeries in London, and a female-run solo business.

Located just a few minutes away from Stoke Newington, one of my favorite areas in London for all its independent shops and cute little cafes, Heart of Cake bakes some of the best vegan cakes in London.

On the menu, are vegan cookies, macarons, cupcakes, and some stunning wedding and vegan birthday cakes as well.

The flavors at Heart of Cake are really different from those you would find in lots of vegan bakeries in London.

Maraschino cherry, coffee and walnut, maple pecan, or spiced cinnamon – there’s everything you need in terms of vegan cakes at Heart of Cake, no matter the season.

It’s also one of the only spots to offer vegan macarons in London. However, be aware this is a collection-only business.

Best Vegan Bakeries in London: Kake Kwerk

Located in Angel, not too far from Old Street, and some of the best cafes to study in Shoreditch, Kake Kwerk is one of the most underrated vegan bakeries in London.

Kake Kwerk was established by founder Cheryl in response to health issues caused by an animal-based diet.

On the menu, are vegan cupcakes, cookies, and even vegan birthday cakes, giving us a way to reduce dietary inflammation caused by the consumption of animal products.

Like Heart of Cake in Stoke Newington, Kake Kwerk is a vegan cake delivery in London, so you can’t eat in, but for office parties and occasions, that’s definitely one of the bakeries to have in mind.
