If you’re one for aesthetic food spots, you’ll thoroughly enjoy this guide – after all, London’s known for its countless vintage cafes, pink bakeries and whatnot.
Such a guide from a France born and raised woman was to be expected at some point.
This is why, after telling you about London’s best croissants and macarons, I obviously wanted to share a couple of great French patisseries you might want to try, too.
London’s 13 Cutest Bakeries for Vibes and Beautiful Cakes

If you’ve been here before, you know just how much I love finding new secret places in London.
Whether we’re talking instagrammable restaurants or secret gardens, I’m here for all of it, and since it rains a lot in London, you kind of stay indoors a lot of the time.
Whether that’s home or coffee shops, unless you are one to really enjoy the way London is when it rains, and don’t mind still strolling around protected by an umbrella.
Ever since I moved to the UK in 2019, I had to really learn how to live in London on a budget.
But once in a while, especially if you’ve got a sweet tooth, you’re going to want to visit one of those cute bakeries and pastry shops!
Most Instagrammable Bakeries in London: Vida Bakery, Brick Lane

There’s not only street art in Brick Lane, no.
Aside from offering some of the best markets in Shoreditch, Brick Lane also hosts Vida Bakery, one of the most famous vegan bakeries in London.

The rainbow cakes and the cute cupcakes they offer are absolutely adorable.
Even better when you’re working in one of the study cafes in Brick Lane and really just need to treat yourself!
Best Bakeries in London: Bageriet, Covent Garden

Bageriet is one of the only bakeries in Covent Garden, and offers some of the most delicious cinnamon buns in London.
The Swedish bakery is nestled on Rose Street, whose name is as romantic as Bageriet is cute.
Bear in mind there are only a couple of seats outside when the weather is gentle, so you might have to take your cakes and drinks to go.

And how could Bageriet be one of the cutest bakeries in London without their signature Princess Cake?
The traditional Princess Cake is a dream in itself, but savored close to some of the most colorful places in London, it’s a blast.

Most Instagrammable Bakeries in London: Belle Epoque Patisserie, Islington

I discovered Belle Epoque Patisserie in Islington a few months ago, when I was looking for French patisseries in London.
And well, I wasn’t in the least let down by the incredible offer of Paris Brest, éclairs, macarons and bread Belle Epoque offers.

There’s another branch in Selfridges, one of the best shopping centers in London, and one in Stoke Newington too.
Stoke Newington, by the way, is one of the prettiest neighborhoods in London…
and should be included on any London itinerary!

Best Bakeries in London: Cafe de Nata, Soho

Cafe de Nata in Soho, close to Criss Cross and Chinatown, is another one of the cutest bakeries in London in that it is tiny.
Don’t expect to be able to eat in there; Cafe de Nata offers no seat.
But what they lack in space, they make up with some of the best pastel de nata in London – promise.

A walk in Chinatown, maybe another bite at Chinatown Bakery could be possible on a beautiful summer day.
But if you’re spending Christmas in London, those pastries are just as enjoyable during the winter.

Most Instagrammable Bakeries in London: Gail’s Bakery, Notting Hill

Gail’s Bakery offers some of the best cafes to work in London, including in Notting Hill, where you’d do well to spend some time.
Indeed, you’ll find there some of the most unique shops in London as well as antiques, charity shops…
And of course, the utterly colorful streets of Notting Hill, from Lancaster Road to Uxbridge Street, must-visits if you’re looking for new photo spots.
The burgers and the cinnamon rolls are some of my favorite things to order at Gail’s Bakery, and you’re sure to feel good there!

If you’re ever looking for the best bagels in London, you’ll love Rinkoff Bakery.
The East London bakery has been around for decades, and their bagels and crodoughs (pictured above) are two of the things you should definitely try there.
For those looking for things to do in East London, I can’t imagine an itinerary without Rinkoff Bakery.

Plus, you’ll be close to some of the best charity shops in Bethnal Green, as well as less than 30 minutes away from Liverpool Street.

Cutest Bakeries in London: Peggy Porschen, Belgravia

Now, Peggy Porschen in Belgravia is probably one of the most pink places in London, and a visit there can be considered touristy.
I mean, it’s kind of the same thing with most of the pink coffee shops you’ll find in London.
However, if you want to feel like a princess during an afternoon tea, why not?

With its pastel cupcakes, Peggy Porschen definitely is one of the cutest bakeries in London.
Closeby, pay a visit to the Chelsea charity shops on King’s Road to get secondhand designer clothes!

Most Instagrammable Bakeries in London: Doughnut Time, Shaftesbury Avenue

It’s hard to find a most instagrammable shop for doughnuts in London when you have Doughnut Time in all parts of the city.
My favorite is the one located on Shaftesbury Avenue, in the midst of the West End.
The names of the donuts at Doughnut Time are hilarious, but if there’s one thing that will make you stop laughing, it’s the taste of these sugarbombs.

Best Bakeries in London: Aux Merveilleux de Fred, Leadenhall Market

Another one of the best French patisseries in London, Aux Merveilleux de Fred, was born in Paris, where I was lucky to gorge myself for four years.
Aux Merveilleux de Fred is one of the most succulent bakeries in London; their merveilleux and their brioches are otherwordly.

Plus, you’re literally in one of the most instagrammable places in London, Leadenhall Market, so you definitely have the photo opportunity here.
And given that Leadenhall Market is one of the most beautiful Harry Potter locations you’ll find in London…
Leadenhall Market seems to be a winner.

Most Instagrammable Bakeries in London: Joice Cafe, Stoke Newington

Stoke Newington seems to be one of the most perfect villages inside London, and when you’re staying here, you’ll love it straight away.
Stoke Newington’s main street is one of the prettiest streets in London; filled with small coffee shops, restaurants and artisanal shops, it’s a must visit.
As it Joice Cafe, one of the cutest bakeries in London, doubled with a coffee shop.
There, you can enjoy some of the best breakfast in London, and the whole shop totally gives ‘what to do when it’s raining’ vibes.

Cutest Pastry Shops in London: Biscuiteers, Notting Hill

For all those looking for romantic things to do in London with your other half, or just really relax and reset, you’ll love Biscuiteers.
They have several locations, but their cafe/bakery in Notting Hill is the most beautiful in my opinion.
There aren’t many black and white places in London, are there, and Biscuiteers’ shop window is one of them.
The tiny sugar-clad biscuits are gorgeous, and actually harder to make than they seem!

I had tried to ice a biscuit at the London Yankee Candle event a couple of years ago, and let me tell you, icing biscuits requires a lot of precision.
When you’re done trying out a breakfast or afternoon tea at Biscuiteers, walk around Notting Hill – it’s one of the best places to spot London in bloom when it’s spring, and one of the prettiest neighborhoods to walk around.

Cutest Bakeries in London: Hummingbird Bakery, South Kensington

Hummingbird was, is, and will always be one of the cutest bakeries in London in my opinion.
The brown and pink bakeries slash coffee shops in Spitalfields, South Kensington and other cute parts of London promise – and deliver.

Their cupcakes are enough to make you come back, but beyond that, you’ll find at Hummingbird Bakery one of the best red velvet cakes in London.
And you sure don’t want to miss that.
Most Instagrammable Bakeries in London: Elan Cafe, Knightsbridge

I mentioned it earlier in this guide, and well, it’s true – Elan Cafe is another one of the cutest bakeries in London.
Their colorful croissants, colorful lattes, cakes and brownies will leave their mark on your palate, and linger in your mind.
One of the most instagrammable bakeries slash coffee shops in London, Elan Cafe has quite a few branches around town.

My two favorites are Elan Cafe Wardour Street in Soho, and the one on Hans Crescent, two steps away from Harrods.
Their have a very different vibe from one another; if you’re looking for neon places in London, the Soho branch will be perfect.
The Knightsbridge cafe, on the other hand, is perfect for romantic dates and baby pink souls.
