And well, even if I’ve talked about the best charity shops in London some time ago, I felt like a guide specific to charity shops in Chelsea, in West London, and more precisely charity shops on Kings Road, was important because that’s one of the best areas for charity shopping in London.
If you ever come across charity shops on Kings Road, you’re going to be very happy, especially if you’re the kind of person always after secondhand designer clothes.
Lately, I’ve been hanging around posh areas in London more often.
I’ve been on the lookout for all the cool instagrammable cafes in London like Ore Cafe and Elan Cafe, one of the cutest pink cafes in London, and colorful houses in Notting Hill, Chelsea, Primrose Hill, and Camden Town.
And well, I thought it would be nice to share with you the best charity shops in Chelsea, which often double as the best charity shops on Kings Road.
If you’ve never been around Chelsea, Kings Road is the main road in the area. Or at least, one of the main roads, and you can find lots of amazing shops and cute little coffee shops in Chelsea scattered around Kings Road.

What’s the best area for charity shops in London? Some may argue – like me – that if you want really cheap secondhand clothes and used books, you should check out charity shops in Bethnal Green.
Yes, but. If you’re looking for the best things to buy in London, indeed, secondhand designer clothes are part of the lot.
But you won’t really find those in Bethnal Green, unless you’re lucky, or go down to Brick Lane in the Vintage Market.
If you’re looking for cheap secondhand designer clothes, your best bets are the charity shops in Muswell Hill, Notting Hill, and of course, charity shops on Kings Road.

Best Charity Shops on Kings Road: Octavia Foundation
The Octavia Foundation is one of my very favorite charity shops on Kings Road.
Decorated with bright pink paint, this is one of the charity shops in Chelsea where you’re bound to find many, many secondhand designer clothes.
Actually, there’s almost nothing but clothes and jewelry in this charity shop.
The first time I ever paid a visit to the Octavia Foundation charity shop in Chelsea, I was dumbfounded to see just how much of a ‘normal’ shop it seemed to be.
I had the impression that nothing sold in the charity shop had ever been worn, and there were many secondhand designer clothes on sale.
From Emilio Pucci to Celine, you’ll find amazing designer brands at the Octavia Foundation.
Kurt Geiger, Nine West, and even Karl Lagerfeld were couture brands I found last time I visited the Octavia Foundation.
Definitely one of the very best charity shops on Kings Road, and probably the whole of Chelsea.

Best Charity Shops on Kings Road: Royal Trinity Hospice
One of the overall best charity shops on Kings Road Chelsea, the Royal Trinity Hospice is probably the best-furnished charity in the whole of London.
Looking for secondhand designer clothes, or simply the best things to buy in London charities?
At the Royal Trinity Hospice, designer brands galore await you, with a touch of Hugo Boss, Dolce & Gabbana, Hermes, Dior, and whatnot.
Perfect if you like thrift shopping but can’t seem to depart from couture.
Menswear and womenswear blend at the Royal Trinity Hospice Chelsea, with a few bits and bobs of homeware perfect to brighten up your home.

Best Charity Shops on Kings Road: Oxfam
There are so many Oxfam shops in London that it’s hard to keep track of.
Namely, my favorites are Oxfam Bookshop shops in Muswell Hill and near the British Museum, where I seem to spend quite some time.
But if you get the chance to come across a proper Oxfam charity shop, with clothes, jewelry, and whatnot, you should definitely go in.
If you’re looking for charity shops on Kings Road Chelsea where the collection is lively, colorful, and trendy, Oxfam Chelsea pretty much runs down the same route as the other branches in London.
That’s why Oxfam shops are some of my favorite charity shops in London.
Because you really feel like you’re free to create a new style for yourself for just a few pounds.
Louis Vuitton, Prada, Bershka, Mango, and H&M – those are only a few discounted designer and high-street brands you’ll find at the Kings Road charity shop.

There are not a lot of Oxfam Boutique charity shops in London, that’s something I can tell you.
I’ll mention another Oxfam charity shop in Chelsea lower down, but the Oxfam Boutique is different.
Posher.
More exclusive.
More interesting, too, if you’re looking for secondhand designer clothes, most of which look like they’ve never even been worn.
The Oxfam Boutique is going to become one of your favorite charity shops on Kings Road if you’re a sucker for branded bags and couture dresses.
I’m telling you, this is probably one of the most expensive – yet best charity shops in Chelsea, but the high-end brands and discounted designer clothes you’ll find are very much worth it.
Think Prada, Armani, Vuitton, and Miu Miu, and you’ll get a feel of what I’m saying.

Best Charity Shops on Kings Road: Cancer Research
Cancer Research is usually one of my favorite charity shops in London because the collection is very clean and the clothes, are tastefully selected.
I know that’s not the goal, but if you can find racks upon racks of matching secondhand clothes, it pushes you to feel more creative, and buy secondhand instead of purchasing for the ever-so-polluting high-street fashion scene.
One of my favorite Cancer Research charity shops is probably the one in North Finchley, because it hosts one of the best collections of almost brand new clothes at a very cheap price – I’ve gotten countless secondhand clothes there.
At Cancer Research Chelsea, one of the best charity shops on Kings Road, you’ll find plenty of secondhand designer clothes, bags, and shoes.
Of course, the selection changes all the time, but you’re bound to find your next favorite gem at the Cancer Research shop.
Prada, Gucci, Dior, and Dolce & Gabbana, along with some more high-street brands all stand from Cancer Research’s racks more often than ever.

Best Charity Shops in Chelsea: Fara Chelsea
Fara is one of the very best charity shops in London, whichever store you’re given to visit.
I remember the first time I ever visited a Fara charity shop, the one on Pentonville Road near King’s Cross, and I’ve actually been not too long ago and found some really cool clothes and jewelry.
The Fara charity shops in London are some of the fullest, and there are always new cool secondhand clothes coming in – they’re also big enough that they’re definitely also worth my time when I’m looking for secondhand books.
Without a doubt, Fara Chelsea is one of the best charity shops in Chelsea located on New Kings Road.
The great thing about Fara charity shops is the fact that they seem to pay great attention to the brands and quality of the clothes they exhibit in their shops.
There are two Fara charity shops in Chelsea; one on New Kings Road and one on Fulham Road, where you’ll also find another Cancer Research shop.
All the more options to do some real secondhand designer clothes shopping, with clothes for men, women, and kids.

Best Charity Shops in Chelsea: Octavia Foundation Fulham Road
The Fulham Road Octavia Foundation is the second one of the Octavia Foundation charity shops in Chelsea I’ll mention here today – and it’s worth it.
I feel like the Octavia Foundation shops are among some of the most expensive charity shops in London, whether you visit the Kentish Town charity or the one on Fulham Road.
Nevertheless, as much as the aforementioned Octavia Foundation on Kings Road, you’ll find in the Fulham Road charity shop plenty of secondhand designer clothes spanning from luxury coats to tops, shoes, and stunning accessories.

Best Charity Shops in Chelsea: Mary’s Living and Giving Shop For Save The Children
Mary’s Living and Giving Shop for Save the Children on Fulham Road is one of the charity shops in Chelsea located close to Kings Road, but not quite there.
That means it’s visited a bit less than the other charity shops on Kings Road, and that means there are more hidden gems for you to discover.
The charity shop, which supports children’s growth and learning process, sells everything from secondhand clothes for men, women, and kids to homeware, secondhand books, and toys.
With a full collection renewed very regularly, Mary’s Living and Giving Shop for Save the Children is one of the best charity shops off Kings Road.

Best Charity Shops in Chelsea: British Red Cross
If you’re looking for the best charity shops on Kings Road and are down to spend some time browsing racks upon racks of homeware and secondhand designer clothes, the British Red Cross is made for you.
Located on Old Church Street, right off Kings Road, the smaller British Red Cross charity shop is all about homeware and home decor.
No trace of scented candles (sniff), but lots of frames, kitchenware, and stunning vintage bits and bobs for your house.
The smaller British Red Cross is one of the best charity shops in Chelsea all around, because it is one of the biggest and best-furnished charities near Kings Road.
What will you find in the bigger British Red Cross in Chelsea?
Amazing discounted designer handbags, shoes, and clothes from brands such as Manolo Blahnik, Prada, Dior, and even some of the high-street brands we can usually afford a bit more often.
Best Charity Shops in Chelsea: Cancer Research Fulham Broadway
Located near Fulham Broadway station, the Cancer Research shop is an addition I thought was interesting to this guide to the best charity shops in Chelsea.
Although Chelsea and the surrounding areas usually boast steep prices – even in charity shops, the Cancer Research on North End Road has kept that true-to-core charity shop vibe.
Whether you’re looking for secondhand designer clothes, exquisite accessories, and jewelry, or almost brand-new used books, you’ll find some really good bits in this Cancer Research charity shop.
Don’t get me wrong – we’re still in a charity shop near Chelsea, and you probably won’t get the same prices you’d get in charity shops in Bethnal Green.
Still, worth a visit if you’re looking for vintage and brand new designer clothes.
