London’s 15 Best Halal Fine Dining Restaurants w/ Fancy Food

Before we get started with this guide to the best halal fine dining restaurants in London, I would like to add a little disclaimer:
I try to talk about places with a completely halal menu wherever possible.
When it’s not possible, I will state which meats are halal and whether they are prepared and stored separately.
As I always say, do call the restaurants in advance, or check their social media/website to know whether they are still halal or not, since restaurants can change suppliers on very short notice.
For now, if you’d like to learn about amazing halal Michelin star restaurants and halal restaurants for a fine dining experience in London, you are exactly where you need to be today – so let’s get started!
Best Halal Fine Dining Restaurants in London: Benares

I mentioned Benares in my guide to the best Michelin star halal restaurants in London. If you like Indian fine dining, this is the perfect place for you.
Benares is very interesting when you want to have a romantic fancy date dinner.
The fact that both chicken and lamb are halal makes it easier to eat in a fancy place like Mayfair.
The cool fact about Benares is that they mix traditional Indian dishes with British modernity. They’re both translated into plates that taste simply otherworldly.
There, you can get garam masala, chicken tikka, biryani… All elevated to a halal Michelin star restaurant level.
If you want to dress up and take your other half out for a celebration, Benares is the one for you.
With its one Michelin star, you are sure to be well catered for throughout the entire evening. Perfect for those looking for halal fine dining restaurants in London after a play or a movie.

Fancy Halal Restaurants in London: Tamarind of Mayfair

Tamarind of Mayfair is one of the halal Michelin star restaurants in London which needs almost no introduction.
Their cuisine is very traditional Indian fine dining, with both halal chicken and lamb on the menu.
No other meat is present on the menu, which means you are sure to eat halal food when you go there.
Tamarind of Mayfair‘s recipes might be traditional, but they are skillfully put together onto the most colorful plates you’ll ever see in the city.
This is one of the first Indian restaurants to have a Michelin star in London, and there is something for every budget there.
So, if you are a freelancer or a digital nomad freshly arrived in the city and would like to take your other half to dinner, this is one of the halal fine dining restaurants in London perfect if you don’t want to break the bank.
Still, a really fancy place for which you will want to dress up and be the best version of yourself.

Best Halal Fine Dining Restaurants in London: The Great Chase

I have mentioned The Great Chase in my guide to the best halal steak in London.
This is one of the most interesting halal fine dining restaurants in London since The Great Chase is completely halal and alcohol-free.
The concept is very easy: this is a British restaurant with influences from all over the world. You will be able to try a little bit of everything there, from Asian notes to Italian influences.
The restaurant was created with a halal fine dining perspective so that Muslims, as well as non-Muslims, could enjoy their amazing cuisine.
The atmosphere there is very posh yet laidback, and you will understand why I am mentioning it here when you spend one of the best dinner dates of your life at The Great Chase.
Mocktails, amazing Rare Tea Company teas, delicious high-end burgers, and halal roast dinners… The Great Chase is just a step away from the best Michelin star halal restaurants in London.

Fancy Halal Restaurants in London: Zheng Chelsea

If you would like to find halal fine dining restaurants in London and are craving some delicious Asian food, Zheng Chelsea is going to be a place you absolutely want to visit.
Located in Chelsea in South West London, Zheng Chelsea offers delicious Malaysian cuisine.
It is kind of sad that there are not that many fancy halal restaurants in London focusing on Malay food. In my opinion, this is one of the best types of cuisine, period.
The cooking skills are top-notch and the ingredients are absolutely premium.
If you’d like to find a romantic halal restaurant in London to take your other half, you would do very well to book at Zhang Chelsea. It’s traditional yet modern, vibrant, and colorful.
The place is dark with dim lights, which makes for a fancy and playful dinner date.
I would definitely recommend you order a few different bites as the entrees and the desserts are equally as amazing as the main dishes.
Zheng Chelsea is undoubtedly a very fancy halal restaurant, and if you’re around West London, just go – especially if you’ve been looking for a halal duck in London.
Absolutely all the dishes are halal and Zheng Chelsea makes it very easy for any Muslim to go and enjoy the finest experience for halal fine dining in London.

Best Halal Fine Dining Restaurants in London: Gymkhana

I mentioned Gymkhana in my guide to the best Michelin star halal restaurants in London, and with its location near Green Park, it’s the perfect end-of-the-day setting for an anniversary or an occasion.
You could go picnic in Green Park during the day, walk around, work in cafes in London, and in the evening, head on over to Gymkhana.
For about £35, you can get a set lunch menu. Since lamb, goat, and chicken are all halal there, you’re going to be able to enjoy lots of various dishes.
Gymkhana focuses on Indian halal fine dining in London and it makes for the perfect setting for a romantic date.
The crazy thing is that Gymkhana has had a Michelin star since 2014, and despite absolutely gorgeous food and amazing cooking techniques, the prices are kept down low.
So, if you’re a freelancer or a digital nomad, or a student trying to keep it on a budget, you can still enjoy Gymkhana’s amazing menu.

Best Halal Fine Dining Restaurants in London: Novikov

Novikov is one of my favorite places for halal fine dining in London.
They have an interesting concept because Novikov is actually made of two restaurants: an Asian restaurant and an Italian restaurant.
You can have halal meat in both of them, but I want to talk about the Asian part of Novikov in this guide.
If you’re looking for the best halal steak in London, Novikov has great halal wagyu beef and halal sirloin, but that’s not it.
There are not a lot of restaurants that offer halal duck in London, and Novikov has it.
They have a little bit of Japanese food, a little bit of Chinese, and other notes from Asian cuisines on the menu. In my opinion, that helps Novikov rank among the best spots for halal fine dining in London.
While not everything is halal at Novikov Asian, everything that is halal is marked clearly on the menu.
Definitely the perfect background for a romantic date, but also for a classy night out with your friends.
If you’ve been looking for a halal Japanese restaurant in London, then Novikov is going to become your best friend, especially with their delicious halal sushi, teriyaki, teppanyaki, and my personal favorite: crispy squid.

Best Halal Fine Dining Restaurants in London: The Banc

Usually, when we talk about halal fine dining in London, it’s all about Knightsbridge, Mayfair, Chelsea, and Central London.
But I want to mention The Banc in North London, as I used to live in North Finchley and have understood that this is one of the best places when you’re looking for a romantic halal restaurant.
The Banc makes a little bit of everything; halal steak, halal burgers, and delicious fish dishes.
Everything is fresh, everything tastes amazing, and there is a dress code if you want to dine there.
However, even if there is a dress code and this is a posh halal restaurant, you will have a very relaxed evening since the service is really thoughtful.
The Banc is not HMC certified and serves alcohol, however, the restaurant has been using halal butchers for quite a few years.
Although rather affordable, it is still one of the best places for halal fine dining in London when you want a fancy experience.

Best Halal Fine Dining Restaurants in London: Buddha Bar

Buddha Bar is one of my favorite restaurants for halal fine dining in London.
Located in Knightsbridge, like the restaurant I will talk about right after, Buddha Bar offers Pan-Asian cuisine, which means you can have a little bit of halal Japanese food with Chinese, and delicious halal Thai food.
The great thing is that all the meat there is halal. If you’re looking for an exclusive romantic halal restaurant for a date, you should definitely take a closer look at Buddha Bar.
This is an elevated address you’re going to want to dress up for.
At Buddha Bar, you will want to order one or two mocktails while you taste the finest halal sushi and halal grilled meats in London.
The atmosphere there is vibrant yet posh, and that will make for one of the best evenings of your life, especially if you’re taking your significant other there.

Best Halal Fine Dining Restaurants in London: Amaya

At some point, if you’re looking for a spot near Knightsbridge for halal fine dining in London, do try Amaya. It is one of the most famous and fancy halal restaurants in the area.
It is also a Michelin star halal restaurant that works on a bite-sized concept of delicious Indian dishes.
It is very interesting, as you don’t really see halal fine dining happening that way in any other restaurant.
If you get a few of their bite-sized dishes, the restaurant recommends 6 to 8 (that is a 2-course meal), and that makes it very easy to share with your partner or your friends.
All chicken and lamb is halal at Amaya.
It’s a totally ‘unconventional fine dining restaurant with no conventional first or main courses’, and you can see that they have put a lot of thought into their dishes.
The way the bite-sized dishes all echo each other is interesting, and the spices and marinades are all carefully crafted.

Best Halal Fine Dining Restaurants in London: Hot Stone

Fitzrovia seems to host some of the best spots for halal fine dining in London, and since I love this area stuck between Tottenham Court Road, Euston Road, and Oxford Street, I’m very often around.
Hot Stone is a delicious fancy halal restaurant, perfect for a romantic date. All the halal meats are written on the menu and the ingredients are definitely some of the freshest around town.
If you’re looking for a halal Japanese restaurant in London, this is one you’re going to want to visit again and again.
Halal wagyu beef is one of their most famous dishes and cooked on a hot stone, it takes on a flavor that you’ve probably never tasted before.
It makes sense to note that Hot Stone uses soy sauce brewed for 2 to 30 years, bringing the level up another notch.
Halal sushi, amazing halal wagyu beef… It’s all very delicate posh, and halal fine dining in London at its finest.
There are also lots of charity shops around where you can get beautiful secondhand books for a good relaxing read, so make sure you take a walk around the area before dinner.

Best Halal Fine Dining Restaurants in London: Cocochan

Now, a halal Japanese restaurant in London around Central.
Cocochan, located on James Street in West London, has earned a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for its delicious influences on Japanese, Chinese, Indian, Korean, and Thai cuisines.
I love Pan Asian restaurants because they show how subtle the chefs are.
So, if you can get halal Japanese food there with some Korean cuisine influences, then why not?
Especially when you’re looking for halal dumplings, which are pretty difficult to come by in London.
There is a terrace at Cocochan, so when it’s spring or summer in London, you could even eat outside while watching the world go around you.
Fancy and romantic, Cocochan and its posh halal fine dining food are perfect for any type of celebration.
Make sure you try their sushi and tempura, as they are some of their best dishes. Do note that the duck at Cocochan is not halal, but the rest of the meats are.

Best Halal Fine Dining Restaurants in London: Maximini

Maximini is one of the best spots for halal fine dining in London. Interestingly enough, it is located around Bayswater, one of my favorite areas of London.
With Hyde Park nearby, you can definitely have a great lunch there and take a walk in Hyde Park or towards Marble Arch once you’re done. Interesting fact: this is Jimmy Choo’s restaurant!
I love being able to find halal Chinese food in London, and if you can do so and have a halal fine dining experience, then it’s even better.
There is absolutely no pork on the Maximini menu.
There, you will be able to enjoy the finest Chinese recipes based on halal duck, beef, chicken, and of course, lots of seafood and thoughtfully created vegetable dishes.
All the produce is fresh and of the highest quality.
This is really one of the spots for halal fine dining in London that you could take your mum, your friends, or your other half to.
The food at Maximini is so delicious that it might even be at the level of the best Michelin star halal restaurants.

Best Halal Fine Dining Restaurants in London: Drunch Mayfair

I mentioned Drunch Mayfair in my guide to the best halal breakfast in London.
This is a cafe that offers not only delicious halal Full English breakfast, but also sweet and savory brunch. I thought I would mention this one, as I do consider it to be halal fine dining in London.
Drunch Mayfair also offers lunch and dinner.
This is one of the most instagrammable restaurants in London with flowers everywhere and a halal fine dining experience unlike any other you would have in London; that’s why I mentioned it as one of the best halal restaurants in Mayfair and Oxford Street lately.
Here, we have the reflection of the city, colorful, and beautiful, and a restaurant that goes out of its way to serve guests as kings.
The freshness of the ingredients and the cooking skills make it one of the best restaurants ever.
There are not that many halal cafes in London, especially in Mayfair, and especially with that type of instagrammable cafe setting.
So, if you would like to take your other half on a cute romantic date in a halal restaurant for breakfast or brunch, this is the place.

Best Halal Fine Dining Restaurants in London: House of Ho

It is much easier to find halal Japanese food than you would think in the first place, and I have talked quite extensively about places to find halal sushi in London in another post.
The restaurant I’d like to talk about now is House of Ho in Fitzrovia.
If you’re looking for halal fine dining in London and are craving some good Asian food, House of Ho is going to be your next destination.
It focuses more on Pan-Asian cooking than on strictly Japanese food, so if you are ever looking for halal Vietnamese food in London as well, you will find halal pho there.
Pho is my favorite dish ever created and House of Ho prepares it to perfection.
Although the fine dining experience is one of the highest you’ll have in London, only chicken is halal in this West London restaurant.
There are a lot of amazing chicken, seafood, and vegetarian dishes at House of Ho so your romantic date will not be ruined in any way.
In addition, you’ll find sea bass and amazing halal dumplings as well.
To be fair, you would think this is a halal Michelin star restaurant, given the quality of the food and the service.

BONUS: Best Halal Fine Dining in Edmonton: Kervan Sofrasi

I feel like when we’re onto halal fine dining in London, we mostly talk about Central London and really overlook amazing places in the East and North.
I would like to talk about the best fine dining, with a halal restaurant in Edmonton now, Kervin Sofrasi.
This is one of the most underrated halal fine dining places in London.
Kervan Sofrasi offers delicious Turkish food and has four branches located in North London around Edmonton and Wood Green.
It might not be one of the halal Michelin star restaurants in London, however, they cook up some of the warmest and most heartfelt cuisines you’ll ever taste in London.
The menu is wide, and you will almost lose yourself in it.
However, if you would like some recommendations, I would definitely suggest getting the pide (a type of Turkish pizza), hummus, and of course, kebab (chopped meat), and skewers. The taste is unlike any other you’ll ever try in London.
This is halal fine dining in London at its finest, and ultimately really a place for the best fine dining in Edmonton.
If you’ve never tried Kervan Sofrasi and would like to take your other half on a romantic date, this is the place to do so.
