There are some amazing Harry Potter shops in London if you know where to look.

And just so you know, there are two possible inspirations for Diagon Alley here, which we’ll also talk about in our guide to Harry Potter locations in London!

From official merch at the Noble Collection to Minalima’s original designs and cheaper clothing brands such as Primark, this guide has a little bit in store for everyone!

Best Harry Potter Shops in London: House of Spells

It wouldn’t be a proper Harry Potter article if we didn’t start with House of Spells on Charing Cross Road.

It’s clearly a favorite in terms of Harry Potter shops in London.

House of Spells shares the same atmosphere and decorations you can spot in Diagon Alley.

From piles of books to the grand arches of the castle walls decorating the length of this shop, you have here one of the best Harry Potter attractions in London.

If you happened to be a nerd for other fantasy sagas like this wee lass of yours, you will be glad to know that House of Spells also sells merchandise from other franchises.

Among which Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, and Star Wars – so make sure to give House of Spells a go when visiting London!

One of my absolute favourite things to do on a haul run for Harry Potter London walk is to visit the marvelous House of Minalima Designs.

Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima are the two incredible masterminds, crafters, and wizard and witch behind the designs of the Harry Potter films franchise.

In 2016 the duo opened up House of Minalima as a gallery to celebrate and display their artwork and up until this day it is still considered one of the best Harry Potter attractions in London.

As one would expect, this place breathes art.

My suggestion is to further brighten up your day with one of the delicious restaurants in Chinatown.

There are also tons of cute cafes in Soho to have a break before you keep going with your itinerary!

Best Harry Potter Shops in London: Harry Potter Shop at Platform 9 3/4

Welcome now to one of the best Harry Potter attractions in London, the one considered to be the shop for props and souvenirs.

Expect lines and lines so you can finally get to the cozy shop, but it’s totally worth it if you’re a Potterhead.

This shop was originally opened due to the many visitors that come daily to King’s Cross station to take a glimpse into one of the best Harry Potter film locations in London.

22 years after the first movie was released, it is precious that we still find it a warm spot in our hearts to see young Harry unaware of the world, walking around this very same station with Hagrid on their way to Platform 9 and ¾.

The half trolley entering the brick wall next to the shop was placed there for pictures – you can take a picture with any scarf you’d like from the Hogwarts houses!

Best Harry Potter Shops in London: Wands and Wizard Exploratorium

Wands and Wizard Exploratorium is one of the immersive/themed experiences that revolves entirely around Harry Potter – one of the few in London.

It’s an immersive cocktail class where you wield a magic wand and brew your own drinkable elixirs, using a molecular mixology.

This is an experience made from geeks to geeks, and beyond just cocktails and afternoon tea, you can also buy props and wands at Wands and Wizard Exploratorium!

Best Harry Potter Shops in London: Harry Potter at The Noble Collection

The Noble Collection is one of the best Harry Potter shops in London in my opinion – I’m not going to lie, there are several items there even I want for my house.

Though this one is a wee bit more expensive than most, there is a reason for it.

Noble Collection produces actual replicas of the items used in the movies of different sagas such as Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Outlander, Jurassic Park, and Star Trek, among many others.

The Noble Collection is the official licensed creator of movie merchandise, props and detailed crafted pieces of art.

I wouldn’t mind bringing a few items home, myself.

So, if you prefer props and things that actually feel like they belong to the world of Harry Potter, I would highly recommend the Noble Collection.

The Warner Bros Harry Potter Studio Tour is one of the best things to do in London if you’re a fan of the saga.

The studios are filled with props, makeup stands, costumes and more – and is the ultimate Harry Potter filming location in London.

The studio shop is an incredible place to visit to buy all kinds of Harry Potter gifts.

There, you’ll see personalized clothing, charms, replicas, Quidditch merchandise, Minalima designs, toys, and books, among other things.

This is the absolute magical dream of any Potterhead out there – I was over the moon when I visited. I couldn’t stop smiling, and I’m sure you won’t either!

As far as Harry Potter stuff in London goes, you have many things to do, see and experience.

One of the most incredible places is Forbidden Planet, on Shaftesbury Avenue close to Soho and Chinatown.

This is an unofficial less expensive place where you will find tons of Harry Potter souvenirs, figurines, books…

And a lot of sales year round, which makes the experience that much more magical!

Best Harry Potter Shops in London: Lego Store Leicester Square

As if Harry Potter merch wasn’t good enough already (it’s not), we can waltz into the Lego store in Leicester Square and enjoy the largest selection of magical items.

A great part of the Lego store is dedicated to the wizarding world of Harry Potter from big constructions to colorful sculptures displayed throughout the shop.

From cute keychains to master Lego constructions such as The Hogwarts Castle, Diagon Alley or the Astronomy Tower – you will find a little something for you here!

And if not, at least come to enjoy the incredible replicas of London’s landmarks such as a telephone box, the tube carriage, and the famous Big Ben.

One of the best shops on Oxford Street is Primark, we’ve talked about this here before.

Well, it’s also one of the best Harry Potter shops in London if you want to get all kinds of clothes and accessories that revolves around the Hogwarts houses.

There are new Harry Potter things released every season, not just clothes, but props, accessories, bags, shoes, and home decor.

I love Primark’s home decor section and sometimes you can spot beautiful things Harry Potter themed such as mugs, pillows, and blankets, and many more!

If you consider yourself a Potterhead, you absolutely have to try Hamleys when going shopping!

Hamleys is one of the oldest shops in London, much like what Hatchards is to beautiful bookshops.

This toy store is a huge building with several themes and floors, and tons of performances every day.

Some of the best things to buy in London include the Jellycat plush toys you can find at Hamleys, but for Harry Potter stuff, you’ll also be served.

It’s more than just a shopping destination – it’s a whole attraction in itself!
