We’ve talked about many things Rome here, from makeup shops to study cafes and many things to do when you’re on solo travel to Rome.
And there’s something the Eternal City has a plethora of… it’s coffee shops. This guide to the most instagrammable cafes in Rome has been a long time coming, to be honest.
There are cute cafes at seemingly every corner, but are they all as pink and floral as the instagrammable cafes in London and super colorful cafes in Istanbul?
However, if you’re looking for hidden gems in Rome, a lot of these coffee shops are actually very picture-worthy. And some even double as good cafes to work, like Trecaffè and Caffè Letterario!
17 Most Instagrammable Cafes in Rome for Delicious Snacks
Whether you’re a fan of floral cafes, neon cafes, or pink cafes, I’ve picked some of the most beautiful cafes in Rome you have to visit.
There’s a lot to do in the city, from free museums and beautiful beaches just a couple of hours away, but believe it or not, you’ll actually want to spend a lot of time chilling in coffee shops when you’re in Rome.
The city has this thing that just makes you want to relax, live slow, and enjoy what’s happening around you.
Some are favorites, some are much lesser-known, and hopefully, all will make you the happiest person on Earth!
Most Instagrammable Cafes in Rome: Libreria Caffè Bohemien
Libreria Caffè Bohemien is the first on our list, nestled in the heart of the Monti neighborhood, and located very close to Via Cavour and the Fori Imperiali of Largo di Torre Argentina.
If you’ve read the guide to the best cafes to work in Rome, you’ll have seen LaFeltrinelli on Largo di Torre Argentina, which offers a beautiful rooftop cafe perfect to work for a few hours.
Libreria Caffè Bohemien is one of the cutest cafes in Rome to get some coffee and a snack – it’s not the biggest coffee shop at all, but the bookshop cafe decor is plainly and simply super instagrammable.
The cafe is quite small, but with books everywhere, plush seats, and regal decor, it’s probably one of the best hidden gems in Rome when you don’t want to meet any tourists.

Most Instagrammable Cafes in Rome: Caffè Letterario
Caffe Letterario is one of the more interesting entries on our list – and one of the most Instagram worthy cafes in Rome altogether (although the picture does not do it justice at all).
Caffe Letterario is not only a cafe, but it’s also a library, a bookshop, an event space, a workspace, and a place where radio and web TV shows are produced.
It’s basically a one-stop shop for all forms of entertainment, and one of the best cafes to study in Rome, not too far from La Sapienza University.
This eclectic place is wholly unique and offers up many opportunities for Instagrammable moments, no matter where you are.
Just because there are so many things to do here doesn’t mean they skimped out on the food.
They often feature brunches, time for tea and chocolate, and even event-specific meals like the Artistic Literary Aperitif that is served up alongside different art events held here.

Most Instagrammable Cafes in Rome: Trecaffè
Do you want to experience Rome the way it was meant to be experienced? If so, make some time to have breakfast at Trecaffè on Via Leone IV, really close to the Vatican.
I can’t remember how many days I spent working on my laptop from the early morning at Trecaffè, but for travelers, it’s also one of the coffee shops that offer the best breakfast in Rome.
This spot offers up the traditional Roman experience from everything from its dishes down to the rustic charm of the cafe itself.
One of the most instagrammable features of Trecaffè is the greenery that decorates the cafe, in addition to wooden furniture and delicious, oh-so-delicious food, from tramezzini (sandwiches that are some of the best street food in Rome!) to the classic filled cornetti Italians eat in the morning.
If you’re looking for one of the most genuine experiences that Rome has to offer, sitting down at Trecaffè is it.

Instagram Worthy Cafes in Rome: Romeow Cat Bistrot
And now what is easily my favorite entry on this list – a cat cafe!
If you’re a cat lover (like me), then Romeow Cat Bistrot is the purr-fect place for you! And because it features adorable kitties, it’s totally one of the most Instagram worthy cafes in Rome!
A sophisticated take on the traditional cat cafe, this place offers up a fun, clean experience with delicious food and friendly cats walking around.
With colorful paintings on the walls and mismatched chairs, it’s certainly a unique environment (even before you throw cats into the mix).
One of the most delicious dishes from here is the Tteokbokki. These Korean rice dumplings provide a unique dish to chow down on while admiring the Roman sights.
There are plenty of cats walking around the cafe that would make for a great #catsofinstagram post.
So go ahead, love on your new furry friend, and post about it on the ‘gram. Your friends will be in awe of your time spent at one of the best cafes in Rome!

Best Cafes in Rome: Lumiere
As one of the most Instagrammable cafes in Rome, Lumiere is known for its eclectic decor.
From the wall of walking sticks to the birdhouses to the large number of pictures on the wall, (and let’s not forget the sheer number of lights hanging from the ceiling), you’ll be wowed at every turn.
Seriously, there is something different at every turn as you walk around inside Lumiere, that it not only ranks as one of the most Instagrammable cafes in Rome, it very well might be one of the best cafes in Rome.
You can have multiple backdrops for Instagram photos just by checking out different parts of this eclectic, maximalist eatery.
The menu is delicious, as well, featuring steaks, wraps, pies, and plenty of tasty beverages to choose from.
It may not be one of the most floral cafes or one of the most neon cafes, but it’s certainly one of the most individualistic. And as such, it makes my list of the most Instagrammable cafes in Rome.

Most Instagrammable Cafes in Rome: Necci Dal 1924
Established in 1924 (hence the name) Neci Dal strives to give their patrons the best homemade dishes and give them a nice place to meet up and chat.
As one of the most Instagrammable cafes in Rome, Necci Dal 1924 offers traditional dishes all (made with love all, of course) while you take in a simple yet beautiful setting where white walls are adorned with paintings and lighting fixtures dot the walls and brighten up the inside.
The real star of the show, though, is dining outside. With cute white tables and hanging string lights, you’ll have the experience of a lifetime.
Plus, with its vibrant yellow exterior, Necci Dal 1924 easily ranks as one of the cutest neon cafes in Rome.
Based on their reviews, I recommend checking out the homemade fettuccine and grabbing a photo op for Instagram either inside while sitting in one of the booths or at one of the outside tables.
The seating area is complemented by plants and the backdrop of the building itself which, as mentioned earlier, is simply gorgeous, especially in the glow of sunset.

Most Instagrammable Cafes in Rome: The British Corner
So, British food may not be the first flavor palette that springs to mind when you think about the most beautiful cafes in Rome, but this one is by far, the most interesting and unique cafe on this list that you have to see for yourself.
British decor? They got it. Teacups and kettles? They got it. Charming, old-world decor? Yup, they have that, too.
As soon as you walk inside, you’ll feel like you’re in a different country.
The bright teal wall adds a real pop of color, while the vintage furniture makes you feel like you’re visiting someone’s home, as opposed to a cafe.
Best of all, they offer tea parties, so if you care to partake, just visit their website for more information.
While it may not be one of the flashiest or fanciest cafes on this list, it makes the list of the most Instagrammable cafes in Rome simply due to how unique and unconventional it is.

Most Instagrammable Cafes in Rome: Rose Tartare Bar
It’s true we’ve touched base on the best restaurants in Trastevere a while back, and we advised you Caffè Trastevere for breakfast – but if you ever want a snack and a coffee, head on over to Rose Tartare.
It’s more of a preppy chic restaurant of the kind of Elan Cafe, all pink like instagrammable places you’d find in London, NYC, and Dubai, but Rose Tartare Bar is indeed located right in the heart of Trastevere.
Fresh tartare and fluffy bao buns might be the spotlights of the menu, but their colorful bruschette for brunch are definitely a showstopper and perfect to try delicious food in Rome from another angle.
