A guide to pretty posh areas in London to visit and walk around on a lazy day – from Chelsea to Notting Hill, these are some must-visit places!

While I love walking around popular areas like Spitalfields, Bethnal Green and Brick Lane in the East End, there’s something about West London’s posh areas that has always attracted me.

Maybe it’s my love of history and architecture, which, in places like Notting Hill, Marylebone or Chelsea, is exacerbated by the presence of towering, colorful buildings and tiny colorful mews streets.

If you’re traveling to London for the first time, and even if you’ve been living here for a while, you’ll find here some pretty places you have to pop by at least once.

I’ve had in mind to write about posh areas in London for some time now and always ended up sharing something else.

I mean, you’ve at least been able to discover here some of the prettiest streets in London, with colorful and cobblestone streets we love to tread and take pictures in.

And some of the brightest pink places in London, perfect for a beautiful afternoon tea, brunch, or just coffee.

In any case, today’s all about the cutest posh areas in London – places in which cute bakeries and elegant coffee shops are established in some of the most beautiful buildings you’ll see in town!

Cutest Posh Areas in London: Mayfair

I’ve mentioned a couple of excellent study cafes and halal restaurants in Mayfair, but the truth is, architecture is the real winner here.

There are many stunning shops in Mayfair, as well as art galleries and beautiful Christmas decorations when the time is right.

Perfect area if you’re looking for romantic date ideas in London with your beloved!

Cutest Posh Areas in London: Marylebone Lane

Marylebone Lane, and the Marylebone area in general, is one of these very local places in London that tourists never get to see when roaming around Camden and Oxford Street.

And yet, if you’re ever after super cute villages inside London, Marylebone is the place to be.

This is one of the posh areas in London where you’ll find fancy restaurants, artisan shops and gorgeous architecture.

James Street is located not too far, with all its instagrammable cafes – don’t miss out on trying out colorful lattes and cakes!

Cutest Posh Areas in London: Knightsbridge

One of the best shopping centers in London, Harrods, is located in Knightsbridge, which is easily one of the most famous posh areas in London.

There are plenty of fancy restaurants in Knightsbridge and more clothing brands you might imagine.

Harrods is one of my favorite department stores in London, and from luxury candles to high-end makeup brands, you have it all there.

After shopping, a visit to Elan Cafe Hans Crescent seems very necessary, if only for some pink latte!

Notting Hill is one of the only posh areas that offers really bright, colorful houses.

There are actually many colorful streets in Notting Hill worth a sight, especially if you enjoy taking pictures.

It’s probably another one of the most famous posh areas in London, and everything from the architecture to the charity shops makes Notting Hill an amazing place to roam around!

Another one of the most colorful places in London is Chelsea, which offers a good dozen mews and multicolor streets.

It’s one of the best spots if you want to see cobblestone streets in London, too – I know I love that.

There are lots of cool places to get breakfast in Chelsea, too, so if you want a cute coffee shop vibe, you’ll love this area!

And if you’ve got some time, I’d highly recommend visiting South Kensington and Paddington too, as they also offer beautiful sights!

Cutest Posh Areas in London: Hampstead

One of the prettiest posh areas in London, in my opinion, is Hampstead.

And I’m not talking about the secret garden with the Pergola; rather, I’m talking about the short rows of houses, stunning nature and beautiful coffee shops.

There are some really cool things to do in Hampstead, and walking around spotting hidden gems seems like a winner.

Bloomsbury is located in Central London, and famous for being a literary destination frequented in the old days by the likes of Virginia Woolf and Charles Dickens.

If you’d like to follow a London itinerary for book lovers, Bloomsbury is the one spot to visit.

Other than visiting charity bookshops, obviously.

But if you’re just in for the architecture, you’ll see, Bloomsbury offers some of the most beautiful architecture in London and it’s relaxing to walk around!
