If you’re looking for the best cafes to study in Chelsea London, you should know from the get-go that cafes on Kings Road and near Fulham Road are much different from what you would expect in other cafes to work in London.

Chelsea is a posher area, there’s no doubt about it.

Whether you pay a visit to coffee shops in Sloane Square, Kings Road, or Fulham Road, you’ll find those study cafes are usually much smaller in Chelsea than they would be in either East London or Central London, namely near London Bridge or Covent Garden.

In addition, you’re expected in that kind of study cafe to order throughout the day, if you’re looking for cafes to study in Chelsea all day long – unless you pay a visit to my beloved Caffè Nero, Starbucks, or Pret.

In any case, if you find yourself around Chelsea, I thought it would be interesting for you to have a complete list of the best cafes to study in Chelsea with WiFi and power outlets.

I like the area since there are lots of colorful streets and charity shops in Chelsea.

However, I much prefer areas like Brick Lane, Shoreditch, and other lively, less uppity parts of London where my freelancer budget just doesn’t meet most coffee shops and restaurants’ standards.

There are lots of amazing cafes in Chelsea, that’s true.

You’ve got amazing hidden gems like the Black Penny Cafe, or in-your-face coffee shops that double as some of the most instagrammable cafes in London like Elan Cafe.

But what we’re after, as usual (and you might have seen that in my other guides to study cafes to work in London), are power outlets, free WiFi, and lots of seating space so we don’t feel uncomfortable taking up space for a part of the day.

And if you’d like to locate all the best cafes to study in Chelsea a little bit better, take a look at the map below:

Located on Kensington Church Street, between Chelsea and South Kensington, Blend Coffee +Juice Bar is one of the first cafes to study in Chelsea I’ve chosen.

In addition to offering good seating space, Blend offers fast and free WiFi.

The atmosphere in the Chelsea coffee shop is warm, and the menu offers some of the healthiest breakfasts in London.

If you’ve been to The Working Line before, you probably already know just how addicted to colorful latte I am, the kind one can usually find in pink cafes in London; beetroot latte, blue latte, and other matcha lattes.

At Blend Coffee+Juice Bar, you can expect a colorful breakfast and a great place to study in Chelsea on your laptop and your notebooks.

Gail’s Bakery is one of my favorite cafes to study in Chelsea.

Located right in the heart of King’s Road, the bakery offers plenty of seating space, a few power outlets throughout the cafe, and free WiFi.

Wherever I choose to study in London, I’m always looking for the sizes of the Gail’s Bakery cafes I come across, just because I really like the vibe that Gail’s has.

In this Chelsea Gail’s Bakery, there is reasonable seating space in a really clean coffee shop, and the fact that you have both free WiFi and charging spots makes it one of the best cafes to study in Chelsea.

Nearby, you’ve got a few of the most famous thrift shops in Chelsea as well, so Gail’s Bakery can definitely become your HQ when you’re looking for places to study in Chelsea before going shopping a wee bit.

Granger & Co is one of the best cafes in Chelsea whether you want to study, do a little bit of work, or treat yourself to some delicious breakfast.

This is more of an upscale cafe restaurant, but if you’re looking for nice cafes to study in Chelsea with free WiFi, then Granger & Co is the one.

Whoever wants to study at Granger & Co will have to order throughout the day, since this is more of a cafe restaurant where people just come to have breakfast, brunch, or lunch.

However, if you want to find a quiet cafe to study in Chelsea, then Granger & Co provides a great atmosphere perfect to focus and work productively.

Best Cafes To Study in Chelsea: Beaufort House

One of the most laidback Modern European restaurants in London, Beaufort House also doubles as one of the best cafes to study in Chelsea.

As with other cafe restaurants in Chelsea mentioned in this guide, you will be expected to order at least a little something at Beaufort House before you can actually start working.

There are power outlets and really good WiFi in this Chelsea spot, and since it is open from 8 am to 6 pm every day except at weekends, it makes for a perfect place to study in London.

I wouldn’t recommend visiting at weekends, since the opening hours of Beaufort House are considerably shorter than during the week.

If you can come during the week, then you’ll find that the King’s Road cafe is one of the best cafes to study in Chelsea while having a bite for breakfast.

There are quite a few Starbucks cafes to study in Chelsea, located around King’s Road and Fulham Road, but the one I’d like to tell you about is Starbucks Coffee on Fulham Road, in the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.

This is probably one of the biggest cafes to study in Chelsea, with plenty of seats scattered throughout the Starbucks.

As usual with all of the Starbucks study cafes in London, you’ll have fast WiFi at Starbucks Fulham Road, in addition to a few power outlets here and there to charge your laptop.

Unlike some other Starbucks cafes I usually visit and which I consider some of the best cafes to work in London, the Starbucks in the Chelsea & Westminster Hospital has fewer power outlets in the coffee shop, but you’re bound to find a seat on your own to study and be focused all day.

The Locals Chelsea is one of the hotspots in town for healthy bites, from breakfast to brunch, lunch, and afternoon snacks.

A while back, I told you about the best vegan bakeries in London, and if you’re also looking for gluten-free cakes, then The Locals is the perfect spot for you to have breakfast and study at the same time.

We’ve got a pretty large coffee shop restaurant that not only caters to all types of diets – including keto and paleo but also offers plenty of seating space and free WiFi perfect to study all throughout the day.

The vibe is kind of similar to another one of the most famous cafes to study in London, Grind Shoreditch, which I have mentioned time and again as one of the best cafes to work in Shoreditch.

If you’re looking for the perfect cafes to study in Chelsea, you can hardly do better than The Locals, especially given the huge amount of organic and healthy pastries and dishes made freshly every day.

Best Cafes To Study in Chelsea: Greenspeares

Greenspeares is one of the most famous brand names amongst people looking for cafes to study in Chelsea.

It’s located just a few minutes on foot from the Knightsbridge station, making Greenspeares perfect whether you’re looking for coffee shops near Sloane Square or Chelsea to get work done.

We’ve got in Greenspeares one of the best cafes to study in London around Chelsea because it is large.

If you’ve looked for cafes to work in London before, then you know how much of a headache it can be to find a spot with a power outlet or two and nice, fast, and free WiFi.

While Greenspeares is a mix between a coffee shop and a restaurant (the brunch is stunning!), the fact that the deli boasts two levels makes it the perfect work cafe in Chelsea.

Plenty of space, plenty of power outlets, and good and free WiFi – Greenspeares is the answer to whoever is after the best cafes to study in Chelsea.

Best Cafes To Study in Chelsea: Caffè Nero

I’ve never hidden the fact that some of my favorite cafes to work in London are the Caffè Nero coffee shops.

Although Caffè Nero is not an Italian cafe brand, as I had initially thought, I still think that they have some really great drinks, and the best atmosphere out of all the best cafes to study in Chelsea.

Whoever is looking for great study cafes in London, whether Camden or Notting Hill, should head on over to Caffè Nero.

The Caffè Nero on Fulham Road, which is large, boasts a lot of power outlets and is utterly comfortable if you’re looking to work on your laptop.

In the Caffè Nero on Fulham Road, you’ll find plenty of comfortable armchairs and the signature, large wooden tables perfect to study for hours.

One of the ultimate best cafes to study in Chelsea at every hour of the day, and definitely worth every penny you’ll put into the drinks you order.

Best Cafes To Study in Chelsea: Ollie’s House

Ollie’s House probably is one of the most underrated cafes to study in Chelsea.

With a nice, warm atmosphere and stunning decor, we’ve got here much less of a study cafe, since Ollie’s House is actually a fusion Asian restaurant.

However, since it is open all day long, the all-day dining restaurant open from coffee and brunch time to dinner makes for one of the most perfect cafes to study in Chelsea.

As in other smaller, independent cafes in Chelsea mentioned in this list, you will be expected to actually order something, but the atmosphere and the quality of the service are so friendly that you’ll feel right at home studying at Ollie’s House.

With a few power outlets, free WiFi, and a great twist on Asian cuisine, it’s a perfect place to study in West London.

Best Cafes To Study in Chelsea: Pret a Manger

I’ve written so much about Pret study cafes in London that I have definitely lost track; Pret a Manger is indeed one of my favorite cafes to work in Chelsea, in London Bridge, in Covent Garden and wherever I am, really.

To be honest, I used to have the Pret subscription up to a few weeks ago, after which I canceled it because a) I don’t go Central enough these days and b) I think that subscription is kind of a scam if you’re not going to Pret exclusively for coffee.

These days, I’d much rather give my money to Caffè Nero or Starbucks when I look for study cafes to work in London.

Even if they’re a bit pricier, because at least, I know that they have everything that’s written on the board and don’t play on a so-said amazing subscription.

However, if you still like visiting Pret a Manger, then the one on King’s Road is one of the best cafes to study in Chelsea.

The great thing is that Pret in Chelsea has a basement, like Pret in London Bridge, and there are plenty of seats there with power outlets and free WiFi, where you can charge your laptop, your phone, and work/study for hours on end without being interrupted.
