Today’s the day when you’ll learn all about the best MAC nude lipstick shades for fair skin, Asian skin, Indian skin, olive, medium, and dark skin tones – in this guide, I’ve put together all of my favorite shades, and some of the most famous MAC neutral lipstick colors for just about anyone.
I’ve written a lot about all kinds of colors, from berry lipsticks to beautiful mauve lipsticks and lately, some of the best MAC brown lipstick shades in which you’ll have most probably already found your new favorite 90s brown lipsticks.

Here, today, we’ll focus on some of the most popular everyday MAC lipsticks from Velvet Teddy to Taupe, and for dark skin tones, Paramount to Consensual!
21 Popular MAC Nude Lipstick Shades From Fair to Dark Skin
Finding the best MAC lipstick and lip liner combinations is one of my favorite things to do, and I’ve proven it to you with the many combos I’ve found for the Spice lip liner, the Soar lip liner, the Whirl lip liner, and lately, the Cork lip liner.
But finding the ultimate best MAC nude lipstick shades is otherwise trickier, just because I’m putting together a guide that should suit all types of skin tones, from super pale to super dark, with olive, medium, Indian, and Asian skin tones in between!
In any case, as I always say, makeup is supposed to be fun, so never be afraid of experimenting.
Do take into consideration the undertone of the lipstick; for instance, as a really fair olive skin (I wear NW15 to NW20 in MAC foundation), I wouldn’t necessarily go for shades like Down to An Art or Taupe.
Rather, I’d turn to Velvet Teddy or Whirl, which are much cooler and suit olive skin tones better.
However, I would apply Taupe and Down to an Art on fair skin tones with warm undertones, Asian skin, and medium skin up to dark skin.
They’re also perfect MAC bridal lipsticks too if you want to create an ombre lip look with some MAC brown lip liners.
In any case, I’ll tell you for each lipstick on whose skin tone it would look best, but you can basically make almost any nude lipstick shade work for you, even if you have an olive skin tone if you just wear bronzer and the right eye makeup!
Best MAC Nude Brown Lipstick Shades
Best MAC Nude Matte Lipstick: Velvet Teddy
Deep-tone beige
Velvet Teddy is one of the best MAC nude lipstick shades, and it looks awesome on almost every skin tone.
You’ve got a good tinge of pink in the beige color of the Velvet Teddy lipstick, which means if you’ve got olive skin, very fair Indian skin, or even medium skin with pink lips, it will look stunning.
Some of the best MAC Velvet Teddy and lip liner combos include the Whirl lip liner, Soar, or some other lesser-known combinations with Beet or Nightmoth.
That’s the best MAC nude lipstick for neutral skin tones, and a stunning everyday shade to wear to work or with a heavy, colorful smokey eye.

Best MAC Nude Lipstick for All Skin Tones: Hug Me
Blushed nude
Then, if you’re looking for the most natural MAC nude lipstick for all skin tones, one of the best shades I can recommend is the Hug Me lipstick from the Lustreglass range.
It’s one of the most hydrating MAC lipsticks, just because it has this gliding, really smooth, and glossy finish.
It’s ultimately one of the best MAC brown nude lipsticks if you’re looking for a gift for a friend, your mother, or your sister and really don’t know what to pick up.
Compared to other MAC matte lipsticks like Velvet Teddy or Whirl, given the glossy finish, the Hug Me lipstick will last less.
However, wear it on top of the Whirl or the Spice lip liner, or the Cork lip liner for dark skin, and you’ve got the best MAC lipstick for all skin tones looking for an everyday shade.

Best MAC Nude Lipstick Shades: Down to an Art
Peachy nude
The MAC Down to An Art lipstick is perfect if you’ve got a warm skin tone; anyone with cool or olive skin, I wouldn’t advise Down to An Art to.
It was released at the same time as the beautiful mauve lipsticks You Wouldn’t Get It and Soar, and it’s honestly perfect if you’ve got medium skin or fair Asian skin.
Those of you looking for a bridal lipstick from MAC would do well to check out Down to an Art, as you’re sure it’s going to last for a long time and give your lips color while being discreet enough not to steal the show.
You’ve got a good touch of orange in the Down to An Art lipstick, which means it will look amazing with lip liners like Spice or Cork, or even something even brighter like the Brick lip liner if you’d like to color outside the lines for once.

Best MAC Nude Lipstick for Dark Skin: Antique Velvet
Intense Brown
The MAC Antique Velvet lipstick was one of my very first lipsticks from MAC, the first one was Captive, which I still consider to this day to be one of the best MAC Satin lipsticks.
Antique Velvet is this really rich, really dark brown with just the slightest tinge of red in the color.
It looks perfect if you’re looking for the best MAC nude matte lipstick shades for dark skin, and even medium skin if you want to go nude but still really statement.
Since it’s a very dark brown nude lipstick in a matte finish, I’d always recommend going with the Prep + Prime for lips underneath to smooth out any fine lines and avoid Antique Velvet drying out your lips during the day.

Best MAC Nude Lipstick for Dark Skin: Consensual
Deep brown w. gold undertones
If you like the Antique Velvet lipstick but would like to go with something a tad lighter and much less brown, you can go for Consensual.
It’s another one of the MAC nude matte lipstick shades for dark skin and medium skin, and there’s much more gold than red in this color, which makes it perfect if you want something a tad invisible for work and everyday wear.
If you’re looking for the best MAC nude lipstick colors for tan skin, brown skin, Asian skin, and fair skin, you can definitely go ahead with the Consensual lipstick as long as you’ve got warm undertones.
For instance, with my NW15 skin, and even if I love dark brown lipsticks, Consensual is not a shade I’d ever go for.

Best MAC Nude Lipstick for Medium Skin: Yash
Deep neutral
And while I wouldn’t go for the Consensual lipstick, I’d still be all in to wear the Yash lipstick, another one of the best everyday MAC lipstick shades for almost every single skin tone.
This one is described as a deep neutral, and it’s basically Velvet Teddy minus the pink undertone.
I’ve never quite understood why the Yash lipstick was such an underdog amongst all the MAC nude lipstick shades, but if you’re looking to create some ombre lips, it’s the perfect everyday lipstick.
Wear with it Stripdown, Stone, Cork, or even Spice, gloss everything over with the Lipglass in Clear, and you’ve got a winning combo.

Best MAC Nude Lipstick for Indian Skin: Whirl
Dirty Rose
I have lost track of how much I’ve talked about the Whirl lipstick here, but if you’re looking for the best MAC nude lipstick for all skin tones, you’ve got one of the most popular MAC lipsticks with Whirl.
This one is perfect with lots of lip liner combinations, from Nightmoth to Cyber World, and from Stone to the Whirl lip liner too.
Plus, Whirl is the perfect MAC neutral lipstick for olive skin.
In fact, lots of other skin tones from Indian skin to dark skin can wear the Whirl lipstick on a daily basis and look absolutely stunning.
Just couple it with some olive green eyeshadow, or some black eyeliner, and you’re good to go.

Best MAC Nude Lipstick for Medium Skin: Taupe
Muted reddish-taupe brown
Now if you love the Whirl lipstick but have found that unfortunately, the pink undertone of this super cool toned lipstick is well, too pink, you might want to go for the Taupe lipstick.
This is one of the most popular shades of MAC nude lipstick, and it looks amazing on very warm skin tones and some olive skin tones.
The Taupe lipstick has been a winner ever since it was released, and I sold countless tubes of this one when I was working at MAC Cosmetics in Paris and London.
Amongst all the nude MAC lipstick shades, Taupe has a tinge of red inside that will definitely make you think of the Antique Velvet lipstick in much lighter, with a bit more peach inside.
Amazing if you’re looking for a MAC nude lipstick for tan skin, medium skin, dark skin, and even fair skin with warm undertones.

Best MAC Nude Lipstick Colors: Paramount
Reddish-brown
The MAC Paramount lipstick is one of my absolute favorites, and I think it’s the fourth MAC lipstick I ever got, after splurging on Captive, Antique Velvet and Whirl.
It’s one of the most beautiful Satin lipsticks from MAC Cosmetics, and it looks very natural on dark skin tones, whether you’re black or Asian.
With the help of the reddish undertone, I’ve found that the Paramount lipstick looks stunning on my olive skin tone, and it’s one of the most interesting MAC nude lipstick shades in my opinion since I’ve never actually seen this color anywhere else.
Wear it with dark brown lip liners like Cork or Chestnut, but if you want the Paramount lipstick to look its best, I’d also recommend the Auburn and Mahogany lip pencils.

Best MAC Nude Lipstick Shades: Mocha
Peachy yellow-brown
Mocha is another one of the MAC Satin nude lipsticks, and it reminds me slightly of the Taupe lipstick, only much lighter and much more hydrating.
Even if you’re a big fan of the nude matte lipsticks from MAC Cosmetics, I really can’t stress enough just how beautiful their Satin range is.
The Mocha lipstick is the perfect example of how longlasting the MAC Satin lipsticks are, and they are quite a few good nude lipsticks in this range, from Mocha to Paramount, and from Photo to Spirit.
Mocha and its peach brown color look stunning on warm undertones, such as fair skin, Asian skin, and even medium to dark skin with the right lip liners.
Wear it with the Cork lip liner or the Spice lip liner, and you’ve got a stunning peachy pout for everyday wear.

Best MAC Nude Lipstick for Asian Skin: Smoked Almond
Bright rose brown
The Smoked Almond lipstick is one of my favorites if you have medium skin, whether you’re Indian, Asian, have fair skin, medium or dark skin.
On my olive skin tone, the Smoked Almond lipstick is one of the most beautiful MAC Amplified lipsticks, since it has a really good tinge of pink in the brown shade.
Depending on the skin tone, I’ve found that the Smoked Almond lipstick adapts a little bit, meaning on some, it will look a bit more peachy brown, and on others, much more nude pink.
If you’re looking for a stunning MAC nude lipstick shade for all skin tones, this ultra-creamy, ultra-hydrating color is perfect as a gift to yourself or someone else, and beautiful with the Whirl lip liner, the Cork lip liner and the Chestnut lip liner too.

Best MAC Nude Lipstick Shades: Spirit
Muted pinky-beige brown
From the same Satin range as the Mocha lipstick, we’ve got Spirit, which is weirdly a MAC neutral lipstick that I haven’t heard many people talk about.
Even when I was working at MAC Cosmetics, almost no one reached out for it; everyone was pretty much wrapped up in finding a MAC nude matte lipstick.
I get that matte nude lips look stunning, but if you only knew that the MAC Satin lipsticks offer some of the most beautiful everyday lipsticks and that they tend to get a little bit matte during the day while offering pretty good hydrating and wear time, you’d jump for them.
The Spirit lipstick is basically Velvet Teddy in a Satin finish, with much less pink in the color, and a tad darker. If you’re looking for the best MAC nude lipstick shade for olive skin, warm skin, or cool skin tones, you’ve got a stunning one here.
On my olive skin, it’s one of the most beautiful everyday MAC lipsticks, and perfect if you like Mocha but find it’s too orange-toned for you.

Best MAC Nude Lipstick Shades: MAC Business Casual
Warm red nude
If you have medium skin or dark skin, chances are you’ll love the Business Casual lipstick to use as an everyday neutral with a little bit of oomph – the warm red undertone makes it easy, yet interesting to wear on the daily.
Business Casual is part of the Lustreglass lipstick range, which offers plenty of translucent, yet buildable and hydrating lipsticks, and as I grow older, I find myself ever more attracted to them.
On the eyes, you can go for some dark red eyeshadow with a warm brown undertone, or even just a clean line of brown eyeliner.
Skin with cool undertones and olive skin, I’d rather recommend Syrup, or the Thanks, It’s MAC lipstick if you’re going to go for a Lustreglass lipstick.
If you however still want to get a warm brown lipstick, then Hug Me is another great choice, just much lighter and neutral than Business Casual!

Best MAC Nude Lipstick Shades: MAC Mull It Over
Dirty peach
From the Powder Kiss lipstick range, Mull It Over is another one of the most popular nude MAC lipstick shades you can get with eyes closed if you have skin with warm undertones.
Its texture is matte and glides very easily on the lips, and provides enough hydration to make your lips feel awesome throughout the day.
You have plenty of really popular nude lipsticks in the Powder Kiss range, but for pale to fair skin and all the way to medium skin, Mull It Over is a staple.
It can be coupled with neutrals on the eyes, something brighter like burnt orange eyeshadow, or something completely different like dark blue eyeshadow to make your eyes pop.

Best MAC Nude Pink Lipstick Shades
Best MAC Nude Lipstick Shades: Thanks, It’s MAC
Taupey pink nude with silver pearl
Thanks, It’s MAC is currently one of my favorite nude MAC lipstick shades, just because it offers both a balm-like texture and a slightly buildable, mauve color.
Very easy to wear for anyone, really, whether you have really dark skin and want to couple Thanks, It’s MAC with lip liners like Chestnut, Nightmoth or Cyber World, or super pale skin.
On the eyes, you can keep the soft pink vibe going with a matte mauve eyeshadow look, or go for something much darker with a clean purple smokey eye look.
The possibilities are quite endless, because Thanks, It’s MAC is such a wearable shade, and if there is one that I keep wearing again and again lately, it is this one.

Best MAC Nude Lipstick Shades: MAC Sweet Deal
Midtone nudey pink
I would recommend checking out the full review I’ve written about Sweet Deal, Yash and Velvet Teddy if you want to see the exact color of the Sweet Deal lipstick, as the picture above is not exactly it.
Sweet Deal is described as a midtone nudey pink, and for my fair olive skin, I felt that it is even more perfect than the Mehr lipstick – who would have thought?
Where Mehr is more of a cool-toned mauve lipstick, Sweet Deal is more muted, a tad warmer, and definitely easier to wear on the daily for an NW15 skin tone.
Also amazing on skin with warm undertones, though, not only olive skin, as well as medium and dark skin.
Sweet Deal is great to pair with the Soar lip liner or a dupe, and two way-too-underrated MAC lip liners everyone should try at least once: Half Red and Plum.

Best MAC Nude Lipstick for Olive Skin: Modesty
Muted neutral pink
If what you’re after is a MAC nude pink lipstick, I think you can hardly do any better than the Modesty lipstick from the Cremesheen range, especially if you tend to have dry lips.
The Cremesheen range is basically like the Amplified range, which means it provides semi-coverage and great pigmentation, but the Cremesheen lipsticks are also super creamy and much more hydrating.
The Modesty lipstick is a perfect light pink which makes me think of the Brave lipstick very much, or a mix between Brave and Faux, and it’s purely pink.
Modesty would look perfect if you’re looking for a beautiful MAC nude lipstick for redheads or blondes, or anyone with pale to fair skin with cool undertones, and even medium skin and warm undertones, really.

Best MAC Nude Lipstick Shades: Twig
Soft muted brownish-pink
Now if there’s one MAC nude lipstick you can’t dismiss when talking about the best selling neutral shades, it’s going to be the Twig lipstick.
That’s one of my ultimate favorites, even if weirdly, I only got it months after I started using MAC lipsticks.
I’m much more into colorful lipsticks, from raspberry to really dark brown lipsticks, and it’s just that getting yet another MAC nude pink lipstick just wasn’t tugging at my heart. Mistake.
If you’re looking for the best MAC nude lipstick shades for all skin tones, from fair skin to dark skin with pink lips or Indian skin, the MAC Twig lipstick is one of your best bets.
It’s part of the Satin range, which provides its usual hydration with a full-color payoff and an almost matte finish as the day passes. With its stunning mix of brown and pink, Twig is one staple to have in your stash.

Best MAC Nude Lipstick for Pale Skin: Blankety
Soft pink beige
For the most natural MAC lipstick with a touch of pink, you have the Blankety lipstick from the Amplified range.
Again, like Cosmo, you’ve got full coverage and a really good wear time, but what is most interesting about the Blankety lipstick is the fact that you can create just about any lip liner combo with it.
It’s described as a soft pink beige, and that’s exactly what it is. I do think it’s the best MAC nude lipstick shade for really pale skin, like redheads and blondes.
Medium and dark skin can also wear the Blankety lipstick when pairing it with some beautiful brown lip liners like Chestnut and Stone.
What I’d do is I’d take this beautiful MAC nude pink lipstick and apply just a bit in the center of the lips, letting the lip liner color dress the lips almost entirely.
Another way of wearing the Blankety lipstick is to apply the lip liner over the entire lips, then Blankety over the lip liner, and allow both colors to mix.

Best MAC Nude Lipstick Shades: Cosmo
Pink coco
The Cosmo lipstick is part of the Amplified range, and you’ve got here almost the same color as Brave, just much more cool-toned.
It’s one of the best everyday MAC lipstick shades if you’re after a beautiful nude lipstick for pale skin, fair skin, and medium skin.
That’s not necessarily the type of MAC nude pink lipstick I’d apply on Asian skin or anyone with really strong warm undertones; in my opinion, the Cosmo lipstick looks much better on people with cool undertones and olive skin.
However, you know makeup is not an exact science, and if you like a lipstick shade, try it to see how it looks on you; sometimes, the hair and eye colors do play a big part!

Best MAC Nude Pink Lipstick: Brave
Pink-beige with white pearl
The Brave lipstick is that perfect mid-tone pink shade, and it’s the best MAC nude lipstick color for lots, lots, lots of people.
It’s part of the Satin range, and it’s one of the best MAC lipsticks for fair skin because it’s just so flattering!
You’ve got a really full color, a beautiful nude pink lipstick, and a finish that becomes almost matte during the day.
On medium skin tones, the MAC Brave lipstick is even more beautiful in my opinion, especially if you’ve got pink lips to start with.
Stunning if you’re looking for the most natural MAC lipstick and are into pink lips for every day.
On fair skin tones, I’d probably couple it with some light blue eyeshadow, to really play on the cool-toned color of the Brave lipstick, and maybe wear the Dervish or Edge to Edge lip liners underneath.

Best MAC Nude Lipstick Shades: Hey, Frenchie!
Deep mauvey nude – Now Discontinued
Hey, Frenchie! is one of the best MAC Love Me Lipstick shades, and its beautiful mauve nude color is perfect for quite any skin tone.
There’s only one type of skin tone I wouldn’t necessarily apply the Hey, Frenchie! lipstick on, and that’s Asian skin tones, but any other cool-toned and olive skin tones would see me apply Hey, Frenchie! on them.
Some possible combos with this lipstick would definitely include the Soar lip liner, Half Red, Plum, or the Vino lip liner if you want to go for something more colorful.
