Ah, candles that smell like coffee – one of the things I live for. I’ve been working on this guide to the best coffee scented candles for a while, with all the espresso and Starbucks scented candles that might be in existence at the moment, and have made a roundup of the very best for you.
If you’ve been here before, then you know that coffee smelling candles are some of my favorites, with the DW Home Fresh Brew candle being one of my ultimate favorites at the moment. There’s just something incredible about smelling dark roast, fresh coffee beans all day long as I’m writing on The Working Line.
Before we get started, let me answer two questions: does Starbucks make scented candles? No, they don’t, but some other independent candle brands have taken to creating Starbucks scented candles.
Does Yankee Candle make coffee scented candles? Yes, they have one – since Hazelnut Coffee has been discontinued, although it was one of the best Yankee Candle scents ever, we’ve still got Cafe al Fresco to enjoy a good Yankee Candle coffee scent.

16 Best Coffee Scented Candles For That Starbucks Vibe

In this guide, I have mixed as usual some really famous brands such as Yankee Candle, Kringle Candle, and DW Home. They indeed offer some of the best coffee scented candles around. Yet, as per, one should not forget that independent candle brands also make stunning coffee smelling candles; I’m thinking of Cafe Noir London and Lulu Candles as I’m writing this.
I won’t be talking about Bath and Body Works in this guide, since their Paris Cafe candle has been discontinued – although you can still get it from third-party candle shops online here and there. By the way, if you’re looking for the best Bath and Body Works Christmas candles, I’ve written a full guide for you about their Christmas scents.
Be sure that I’ve searched far and wide to present only the very best candles that smell like coffee, coffee vanilla latte, and other hazelnut latte! Without further ado, let’s get on with the best coffee scented candles on the market right now!
Best Coffee Scented Candles: DW Home Fresh Brew

The DW Home Fresh Brew candle is one of my all-time favorites and one of the best DW Home candles in my opinion. You’ve got a great mix of coffee, milk, and sugar inside the Fresh Brew candle that I keep burning day after day when I’m writing on the laptop.
The only downside to this candle is the sizes in which it’s available; one or two wicks, at a price that ranges from $14 to $18. I’d definitely pay double the price when it comes to coffee scented candles, but the DW Home Fresh Brew candle should be available in a 5 kg size as well in my opinion.
Best Coffee Scented Candles: Society The Coffee Shop Candle

Society Scents has got a few very dreamy scented candles in their range, with The Bookshop, The Spa, or the Perfumery being some of the best scents of the London-based brand. A fully independent brand that works on bringing us scents reminding us of places that we love to visit or long to visit, Society Scents makes one of the very best coffee scented candles in this guide.
Priced at £22 for 150 g, The Coffee Shop candle by Society Scents is on the pricier side, but it is also a very strong scented candle that blends dark roast coffee with cream and cocoa in an intoxicating smell.
Completely vegan and made with soy wax, the Society coffee smelling candle is one of the best options whether you’re looking to treat yourself or a beloved.

Best Coffee Scented Candles: Café Noir Signature Candle

Cafe Noir London is probably one of the most incredible brands that make coffee scented candles in this guide. Why? Because the independent candle brand makes only candles that smell like coffee in their collection. Like me, the team at Cafe Noir London are coffee aficionados, which means that each of their coffee candles is utterly exquisite.
The Cafe Noir Signature candle is one of their bestselling candles, and it’s easy to understand why. Here’s what Cafe Noir London says about their Cafe Noir Signature candle:
Complex aromatic blend of intoxicating coffee topped with an added twist of blackcurrant, tuberose, vanilla & sandalwood finally resting on an intense rich full bodied espresso accord.
Priced at £35 for about 50 hours of burn time, the Cafe Noir Signature candle blends the most eclectic candle scents together to create one of the dreamiest coffee scented candles on the market. I mean, who else would blend blackcurrant, vanilla, and sandalwood with a rich espresso candle scent?

Best Coffee Scented Candles: Café Noir Vanilla Latté Candle

The Cafe Noir London candles are so good, I had to mention their Vanilla Latte candle as well. Priced at £35 just like the Cafe Noir Signature candle, this coffee vanilla candle offers another take on elevated coffee smelling candles:
Sophisticated vanilla blended to perfection with a milky coffee base topped with silky whipped cream.
The Cafe Noir London Vanilla Latte candle is a more suitable option if you’re looking for a sweeter version of a coffee scented candle, with milk, cream and vanilla toning down the coffee fragrance.
If you have already discovered these two Cafe Noir London candles, then the rest of their range should have you going crazy: Gingerbread Cappuccino, Café Mocha, Salted Caramel Latte, and Hazelnut Latte are a few other options to consider big time.
Best Coffee Scented Candles: Yankee Candle Café Al Fresco

It’s no secret that I’m a Yankee Candle fan; what’s not to like when you’re looking for an immense range of scented candles that last a long time? Yankee Candle has big plans for 2023 with the two Art in the Park Spring and Art in the Park Summer collections announced lately, and I might be in love with the autumn Yankee Candle scents, but Cafe al Fresco, guys… Cafe al Fresco.
One of the only downsides of the brand is the fact that there are indeed almost no Yankee Candle coffee scents. Aside from Cafe al Fresco, which boasts coffee, cinnamon, cappuccino, sugar, and caramel, giving the atmosphere of ‘warm air of a bustling outdoor cafe’.
And if you know me, you know that I’m always writing in cafes in London, and I love those kinds of smells and vibes. The Yankee Candle Cafe al Fresco scent is only available in the USA to the best of my knowledge and retails for $31 for a large jar.
The only Yankee Candle coffee candle scent at the moment, and definitely the only one needed given the magic of this espresso candle mixed with sugar notes.

Best Coffee Scented Candles: Village Candle Coffee Bean

The Village Candle brand is harder to get over here in London than Yankee Candle, although it is one of the best candle brands in the world. The Village Candle Coffee Bean candle revolves almost solely on coffee notes, with a mix of smoky espresso, tonka bean, and roasted pecans.
I’d probably use the Village Candle Coffee Bean scent more often to relax than work to its magical scent, as roasted pecans definitely are something that gets me hungrier than productive.
However, at less than £25 for over 600 g of pure coffee goodness, I have to say, this is one of the biggest espresso scented candles on the market at the moment.
It’s pretty hard to find really large coffee scented candles for some reason; most brands actually sell their coffee scents in very small candles up to 200 g. But if you’re a large jar candle lover as I am, then the Coffee Bean candle by Village Candle seems like a great option.

Best Coffee Scented Candles: Illume Boulangerie Espresso Candle

I love the candles I regularly find at Anthropologie – not only that but the clothes and accessories sold at this upscale yet hipster shop are some of the coolest around if you have an eclectic style. And there, coffee lovers, you’ll find one of the best coffee scented candles in the world; the Illume Boulangerie Espresso candle.
Here’s what Illume says about their Boulangerie espresso candle:
The closest thing to a real cup of joe, this espresso-scented candle is crafted from coffee beans and almond milk, with notes of dark cacao and patchouli.
Priced at £20 for 170 g, the Espresso candle mixes fresh coffee beans with dark cacao, almond milk, and an interesting floral note of patchouli which makes the Boulangerie Espresso candle strong and feminine at the same time.
If you’re not acquainted with Illume, it is one of the most famous American candle brands, which makes its candles by hand with natural wax and essential oils.
The Boulangerie collection is one of the most beautiful, clearly, and aside from crafting delicious candles that smell like coffee, you’ll also find at Illume Whipped Cream & Pear, Angel Food, Oatmeal Cookie, and a stunning Sweet Vanilla & Cinnamon candle.

Best Coffee Scented Candles: Lulu Candles Espresso Bean Candle

Lulu Candles is another one of the American candle brands in this guide, and their Espresso Bean candle definitely deserves the spotlight. This is a completely cruelty-free and vegan candle brand that crafts its candles from soy wax in the USA.
The No. 18 Espresso Bean candle retails for $19.95 for 255 g, and it is one of the most straightforward coffee scented candles here today. The Lulu Candles Espresso Bean candle smells, well, like coffee. Dark roast espresso. Pure coffee bean goodness.
It is one of the priciest candles in this guide, but if you’re looking for stunning candles that smell like coffee, then that’s a brand you definitely need to look at. In addition to the incredible coffee scented candle, Lulu Candles has a plethora of scents available, from Blueberry Cobbler to Lemon Biscotti and Lavender Musk, perfect all throughout the year.

Best Coffee Scented Candles: Milkhouse Candle Co Coffee Break

The Milkhouse Candle Co is one of the most expensive candle brands in this guide, that’s true, but if you’re looking for the best coffee scented candles, they’ve got a thing or two to show you. In the collection of coffee candles, the Milkhouse Candle Co (£32.50 for 624 g) has a delicious Creamery Coffee Break candle dressed in a stunning old-school creamery jar.
It features two wicks and is made with both beeswax and soy wax in a non-toxic paraffin-free formula. If you’re looking for pure coffee scented candles, the mix of roasted coffee beans, whipped cream, and coffee will make your heart boom boom.
But if you’re looking for something a bit sweeter, The Milkhouse Candle Co has another candle called Farmhouse Cup O’ Joe, and this one features coffee blended with vanilla, cinnamon, and hazelnut in a sweeter and spicier version of a coffee smelling candle. A great brand if you’re looking for a great container along with the coffee scent!

Best Coffee Scented Candles: Dark Roast Coffee The Sheffield Candle Company

The Sheffield Candle Company, formerly called The Yorkshire Candle Company, offers one of the most straightforward coffee scented candles as well. We’ve got a really affordable option, with several sizes available of the Dark Roast Coffee candle.
Made with 100% natural soy wax, The Sheffield Candle Company makes its scented candles in Sheffield, England. Here’s what they say about their Dark Roast Coffee candle:
For the lovers of coffee, for those of you who like the scent of coffee but not the drink, for those of you who like coffee creams, and absolutely anyone our there who even remotely likes coffee… this is the candle for you! Anyone for coffee?
In terms of pricing, the Dark Roast Coffee candle retails for £5.95 for a small tin (about 20 hours of burn time) and up to £8.95 for a large tin (40 hours of burn time). Definitely one of the most affordable coffee smelling candles at the moment, and one of the indie British candle brands to try.

Best Coffee Scented Candles: Kringle Candle Coffee Shop Candle

Next up, the Kringle Candle Coffee Shop candle – if you didn’t find the Yankee Candle coffee scent you wanted, fear not – Kringle Candle is literally the same family as Yankee Candle. Indeed, Mike Kittredge III is but the son of Yankee Candle’s founder, which means that you can expect the same quality from Kringle Candle’s products.
And since we’re looking for the best coffee scented candles, you’re going to want to take a look at the Coffee Shop candle. We’ve got a huge 24 oz Country Candle jar made in the USA with non-toxic paraffin wax (the same kind that Yankee Candle uses), and up to 150 hours of burn time for just $28.50.
The notes are purely coffee shop related, with top notes of coffee, mocha and caramel backed by vanilla, caramel, hazelnut and sweet, and a base of Gourmand and Nutty (whatever that means). Out of this entire list, the Kringle Candle Coffee Shop is probably one of the best coffee smelling candles, especially if you’ve been looking for something as attractive as a Starbucks coffee candle would be.

Best Coffee Scented Candles: DW Home Work From Home

I told you so many times about the DW Home Fresh Brew candle that you might forget about the Work From Home candle, developed to make working from home as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
One of the most underrated DW Home coffee scented candles, in my opinion, the Work From Home candles features notes of freshly-ground brewed coffee beans, pure sugar cane, hazelnut, and caramel syrup.
For all those who might miss the Yankee Candle Pumpkin Chai Latte candle, I think Work From Home would be a great option. We’ve got a candle that smells like coffee with sweeter notes than Fresh Brew, which is clearly one of the strongest, purely coffee scented candles around.
The Work From Home candle is available in two sizes, a single-wick candle for a burn time of 33 hours at $14, and a double-wick candle for a burn time of 56 hours at $18.

Best Coffee Scented Candles: Lily Flame Coffee Galore Candle

Lily Flames is one of the most up-and-coming indie candle brands in the UK, and the Coffee Galore scented candle seems to be one of the bestsellers of the brand. You’ve got a candle in a tin priced at £9.95 for a weight of 230 g, so approximately 35 hours of burn time.
And well, if I tell you this is one of the best coffee scented candles on the market, it’s because it really is. What does Lily Flame say about their Coffee Galore candle?
Coffee Galore; Freshly Roasted! Warm and welcoming freshly roasted coffee. So strong you don’t even need to light it; just leave the lid off!
Cruelty-free and completely vegan, the Lily Flame Coffee Galore candle features a top note of fresh espresso, backed by maple syrup and peach notes for an interestingly sweet contrast. The base notes of vanilla and coffee beans give even more depth to this incredible coffee smelling candle, one of the most affordable and best of its kind.
Best Coffee Scented Candles: Clive’s Candles Black Coffee Candle

Clive’s Candles is a small family-run business that offers some crazy amazing candles at a very affordable price. Made in a small tin, which seems to be very trendy right now, Clive’s Candles offer premium wax scents that revolve around very unique scents. Anything you get from Clive’s Candles, you cannot get it anywhere else, which makes the independent candle brand’s strength, really.
Among Clive’s Candles scents, you can find a Fireside scented candle that blends amber, cedarwood, and guaiac wood, an Arabian Jewel candle, or even a Chef’s Kitchen candle. But the most interesting for us, lovers of coffee scented candles, is the Double Espresso candle, mixed with black coffee and caramel.
Here’s what Clive’s Candles says about their Double Espresso candle:
This ‘Double Espresso’ scented candle is a must for any coffee lover. If you like the smell of freshly brewed coffee then this ‘Candle In A Tin’ is for you; a double espresso with a shot of caramel!
Priced at £13 for up to 40 hours of burn time, this is one of the most affordable coffee smelling candles in this guide – and if you like wax melts, you’ll also find this scent in Clive’s Candles wax melts collection.
Best Coffee Scented Candles: Acqua di Parma Caffè in Piazza Candle

I seriously love all the Acqua di Parma perfumes, especially the Sakura and Oud ones, and when I found out that they also carry a coffee scented candle, I was crazy. Retailing at £55 at shops like Harrods, Liberty of London (which also carries some of the most beautiful stationery!), and John Lewis, the Acqua di Parma Caffè in Piazza candle is one of the most famous coffee smelling candles.
Exit Starbucks, we’re looking at a true echo of Italian coffee culture, which you know I’m fond of. I lived in Rome for a year before moving back to London, and the plan is to make another move to Italy next year. I’ve never forgotten Italy which has become my home more than France, and well, I guess I’m crazy about coffee scented candles mainly for that reason.
Here’s what Acqua di Parma says about their Caffè in Piazza candle:
Embrace the beloved Italian coffee culture with this intense, full-bodied candle, which features notes of cappuccino foam, roasted coffee, and vanilla.
Cardamom, hazelnut cremino, vanilla, and roasted coffee beans – what could be better for a true reminder of breakfast in Rome and moments spent in the sun?

Best Coffee Scented Candles: Cosy Art Lazy Sunday Candle

Cosy Art is one of the smallest companies in this guide, and the London-based candle brand offers lots of amazing scented candles, among which… the Lazy Sunday candle, priced at only £13.50 for 180g. In the blend, you’ve got arabica coffee bean, espresso, and cardamom contrasted with hazelnut, atlas cedar, vanilla, and Tonka bean.
If you’re looking for vegan candle brands that make their products by hand and locally, then you should definitely take a look at the Cosy Art candles. Made with soy wax, the Lazy Sunday candle is probably one of the cheapest and best options if you’re looking for new, vegan coffee scented candles.

16 Best Coffee Scented Candles For That Starbucks Vibe

There you have them, all the best coffee scented candles available at the moment. Other independent candle brands also offer Starbucks scented candles, but I’d rather have a great-looking candle when I see it burning all day while working on the PC.
I seriously hope that famous brands like Yankee Candle and Bath & Body Works will release more coffee smelling candles in the future. While I’m perfectly happy with my DW Home coffee scented candles, I sure wish there were more options in bigger brands that I can get more easily here in London!
Until next time!
