6 Beautiful Mauve and Brown Drugstore Lipgloss Combos To Wear Everyday

Since I’ve recently started to write more about lip combos – and that’s something I live for, I thought today could be all about mauve and brown drugstore lipgloss combos.

I have imagined this lip combo guide to be better suited for olive skin, Indian skin and medium skin, although fair and pale skin tones can absolutely wear a good couple of this options.

In any case, as time goes by, I’ll probably write many more of these lip combo posts, especially since I’ve recently gone makeup shopping in London.

6 Beautiful Mauve and Brown Drugstore Lipgloss Combos To Wear Everyday

In this guide, I’ll be talking about a handful of drugstore makeup brands I swear by:

• Barry M (one of the best British drugstore makeup brands ever brought to life)
• NYX Professional Makeup
• Kiko Milano
• Wycon Cosmetics (a gorgeously efficient Italian makeup brand)

When it comes to the lipglosses used, I have chosen to use a couple of NYX Butter Gloss shades, as well as Flormar and Kiko products.

Brown Drugstore Lipgloss Combos: Lip Liners and Lipgloss Shades Used

These are the drugstore lip liners I have chosen for this guide:

• Kiko Smart Fusion Lip Pencil 534
• Kiko Smart Fusion Lip Pencil 532
• NYX Suede Matte Lip Liner in Los Angeles 2.0
• Barry M Lip Liner in Blush
• Kiko Smart Fusion Lip Pencil 531
• Wycon Cosmetics Pro Lip Pencil in 218 Brownstone

The drugstore lipglosses I have chosen to use are as follow:

• NYX Butter Gloss in Bit of Honey
• NYX Butter Gloss in Madeleine
• NYX Butter Gloss in Praline
• NYX Butter Gloss in Spiked Toffee
• Kiko Milano 3D Hydra Lipgloss 20
• Flormar Dewy Lip Glaze in Bronze statue

Drugstore Lip Liner Shades Used in the Combos

Three of these drugstore lip liners are more mauve than brown, and I have chosen to use muted and medium-toned shades as well so you can really explore what would look good on you.

I have used three Kiko Smart Fusion lip liners as they’re currently some of my favorites, and some I have been collecting for a few years.

The Barry M lip liners are available in over a dozen shades, with some of them being great MAC lip liner dupes if you ever want to save on makeup.

I have also talked about the NYX Suede Matte lip pencils a while back, especially since they, too, offer amazing dupes for MAC lip liners.

Finally, the Wycon Pro Lip Pencil is another favorite of mine as it’s incredibly pigmented, long lasting, and longer than your average lip liner.

Mauve and Brown Drugstore Lipgloss Combos: Kiko Smart Fusion 534 + NYX Butter Gloss Bit of Honey

Let’s start with a soft pink brown drugstore lipgloss combo, with the Kiko Smart Fusion lip liner in 534 and the NYX Butter Gloss in Bit of Honey.

The Smart Fusion 534 lip liner is a great shade to have in your stash whether you have fair skin with warm undertones or olive skin, especially since it pairs well with both cool-toned and coral lip shades.

Which is what I’ve done here, with the NYX Butter Gloss in Bit of Honey, a soft, milky coral lipgloss.

On the eyes, you could go with a simple black eyeliner wing, but if you are feeling creative, then some dark blue eyeliner would contrast the lip combo beautifully.

Mauve and Brown Drugstore Lipgloss Combos: Kiko Smart Fusion 532 + NYX Butter Gloss Madeleine

The Kiko Smart Fusion lip pencil in 532 is much lighter than the 534 lip liner, and much warmer-toned, which means that it’s a perfect everyday shade for fair skin with warm undertones.

It gives you that moderately soft nude lip, and with the NYX Butter Gloss in Madeleine, you really are playing the no makeup-makeup card when wearing both.

It’s the kind of soft brown drugstore lipgloss combo that would pair well with a spring-toned, yellow or orange eyeshadow look.

It’s also perfect to wear with metallic olive green eyeshadow, if you want to contrast the warm lip.

Mauve and Brown Drugstore Lipgloss Combos: NYX Suede Matte Los Angeles 2.0 + NYX Butter Gloss Praline

Third NYX Butter Gloss shade, and that’s not surprising as I’ve recently bought about a dozen new shades I didn’t yet own to create more of my beloved lip combos.

Here, we have one of the best NYX Butter Gloss shades, with Praline, the perfect mauve brown lipgloss whether you have Indian skin or olive skin.

I love wearing the Praline Butter Gloss with a soft, baby blue eyeshadow look, as they contrast really well as long as you wear a mauve blush in line with Praline.

I have also recently bought many more NYX Suede Matte lip liners, which I used to collect at some point, and used Los Angeles 2.0 for this combo for a proper mauve look.

If you like this look, one of the NYX Slim lip pencils, Mauve, also works well with the Praline Butter Gloss.

Mauve and Brown Drugstore Lipgloss Combos: Barry M Blush Lip Liner + NYX Butter Gloss Spiked Toffee

The Barry M Blush lip liner is one of the lightest of the brand, and a beautiful soft mauve pink at that.

I personally love blending my Barry M lip liners towards the center of the lips and coating with a clear lipgloss, like the Juvia’s Place It’s Glass lipgloss I’ve been wearing a lot lately.

However, if you’d like to make the color on your lips more opaque, the NYX Butter Gloss in Spiked Toffee is a great shade to use with the mauve lip liner.

What I usually do is apply Spiked Toffee all over the Blush lip liner, but I only use a little bit of lipgloss as Spiked Toffee is slightly darker.

This allows me to have a perfect blend between the beautiful brown drugstore lipgloss and the Blush lip liner, and gives a great muted color for everyday.

Mauve and Brown Drugstore Lipgloss Combos: Kiko Smart Fusion 531 + Kiko 3D Hydra Lipgloss 20

The Kiko 3D Hydra lipgloss 20 is one of the bestselling Kiko products, and it’s easy to understand why, as the brown color is neither too warm nor too cool.

On top on the Smart Fusion 531 lip pencil, the result is slightly lighter, and slightly warmer-toned – good to wear with almost any kind of eyeshadow.

If you want to go grunge, some really metallic silver eyeshadow would work well with these lips.

However, if you want something more sophisticated, I would say some burgundy or dark red eyeshadow applied as a smokey eye would also give a great result.

Mauve and Brown Drugstore Lipgloss Combos: Wycon Pro Lip Pencil Brownstone + Flormar Dewy Lip Glaze Bronze Statue

Lastly, I thought I’d share another brown drugstore lipgloss combo with two lesser-known products, and I can vouch for both Flormar and Wycon Cosmetics.

Wycon Cosmetics is one of the high-street Italian makeup brands I’ve already told you a little bit about, especially since the Wonderproof Eye Pencils are otherworldly, both in pigmentation and lasting power.

Flormar is a Turkish makeup brand, and you can easily find their products in makeup shops in Barcelona, Italy, Poland or, of course, Turkey.

The Wycon Cosmetics Brownstone lip pencil could also be a dupe for MAC Mahogany, but it’s redder-toned.

The Flormar Dewy Lip Glaze in Bronze Statue offers a translucent coppery color with tiny sparkles, and since it’s non-sticky, it’s one of my favorites.

I’ve actually told you quite a bit about the Flormar Dewy Lip Glaze shades a while back, and many of them could be used with the brown lip liner from Wycon.

Mauve and Brown Drugstore Lipgloss Combos Swatches

Here are all the mauve and brown drugstore lipgloss combos I have shared with you, so you can see the colors under different lightings.

The main pro of all these lipglosses, really, is that they are non-sticky lipglosses, something utterly crucial to me.

None of the lip liners mentioned here are waterproof, but if I had to select the most long lasting, it would be the NYX Suede Matte lip liner, the Wycon Cosmetics and the Barry M lip liner, as their texture is waxier than the rest.

However, they’re all really long lasting and just require a touch-up after lunch/dinner, as is to be expected when having lipgloss on.
