Back for a quick review and swatch of the Barry M Honeysuckle Gelly Hi Shine nail paint I got a few months ago, when yet again traveling to London.

While I’m currently living between London and Rome, I should be moving to London in the next few months, and I honestly can’t wait.

Way before becoming a makeup artist, the excellent Barry M products were one of the reasons I made the jump, as we don’t have the same kind of makeup in France.

French makeup brands are usually more expensive, with more nude makeup, and even when the makeup is colorful, it still feels more high-end than mainstream.

Which is why I love British drugstore makeup, with one of my favorite brands being Barry M Cosmetics.

This review of the Barry M Honeysuckle Gelly Hi Shine nail polish is only the first of many.

During my latest trip to London, I purchased a lot of the Barry M nail polishes to be able to share them with you on my makeup TikTok account, The Working Line, as well as create many different manis.

Nail polish has been a passion of mine for years now, maybe even before I chose to go deep into the industry by becoming a freelance makeup artist.

And well, for anyone in search of a good nude nail polish, the Barry M Honeysuckle shade is utterly amazing.

Barry M is one of these success stories where the owner started making nail polish at home, and the brand was established in 1982.

With six bright nail polishes at the beginning of the company, we now have amazing blue eyeliners, plumping lipglosses, and really amazing limited edition collections.

A Barry M nail polish is one of the best Superdrug products you could ever treat yourself to, especially given the 3.99 pounds price point.

Choosing the best Barry M nail polish colors is something really difficult for me.

First of all, because I have over two dozens of them.

Second of all, before whether you choose the very special Barry M Glazed nail paints or a classic white nail polish, you’re bound to love them all.

Over time, I have come to find that the blue Barry M nail polishes were some of my favorites, and there are about 7 or 8 in the brand.

The nude nail polishes, like the Gelly Hi Shine nail paint in Honeysuckle, are just as outstanding for a really clean look.

If you ever come across the Barry M Hot Chili nail paint, a classic bright red, make sure you take a second look, too, as it’s clearly one of the best red nail polishes I currently own.

The Gelly Hi Shine nail polishes are all vegan and cruelty free, as is the brand, and all contain 10 mL of product.

Barry M Honeysuckle Gelly Hi Shine Nail Paint Review

When I purchased the Barry M Honeysuckle nail polish, to be honest, I was just in my nude nail polish phase.

It seems like since I’ve been back from London, though, I have had this urge to use more duochrome and shimmer nail polishes rather than glossy, lacquered ones.

Old money vibe, baby.

Like all the Barry M products, the Honeysuckle nail paint is made in the UK and offers a wide enough brush that you don’t want to go back to another brand when you try it.

When it comes to the color, one might think that the Barry M Honeysuckle nail polish would be rather pinkish, but the color is more of a warm nude, very light coral shade with slightly brown undertones.

On the pictures, I am wearing the Barry M Honeysuckle nail polish under different lightings, so you can see the color nuances a little bit better.

With two layers, I achieve a glossy, very nude nail polish effect that I have been loving very much recently.

I tend to wear a lot of nude Essie nail polish shades, as this is another one of my favorite nail polish brands, but none come really close to the Barry M Honeysuckle shade.

Even the Essie Eternal Optimist nail polish is darker than Honeysuckle.

In the Barry M brand, the Tiramisu nail polish is darker, more brown and cooler-toned than Honeysuckle.

Barry M Honeysuckle Gelly Hi Shine Nail Paint Swatch

Over the years I’ve used Barry M, there are many nail polish shades I’ve bought over and over again.

That’s the case of the Blue Margarita and Berry Parfait nail polishes, two gorgeous blue shades that last just as long as the nudes.

I don’t usually wear top coat, as I change my nail polish almost daily, but in my experience, you don’t need any if you’re only going to wear Honeysuckle only three or four days as it doesn’t chip.

There are however some amazing nail polish top coats on the market, starting with the Barry M one, that will help you achieve a gel-like finish!
