In this guide, you’ll see coffee shops of all sizes, from the famous Outsite Cowork Cafe and Copenhagen Coffee Lab, as well as lesser-known laptop friendly cafes like Rebel Cafe and Fauna & Flora.
I always try to share coworking cafes that allow you to study for a bit and offer WiFi and power outlets.
As always, I will highlight those that do not offer plenty of power plugs as well so you can really choose cafes suitable for working depending on how much you have to do.

Best Cafes to Work in Lisbon: Copenhagen Coffee Lab
There are several branches of Copenhagen Coffee Lab in the city, but if you’re looking for the best cafes to work in Lisbon, it’s the one near Cais do Sodré you’re going to want to set up camp at.
The few Copenhagen Coffee Lab coffee shops in Lisbon are all pretty much laptop friendly, but if you’re looking for cafes to study for a few hours, a spacious coffee shop is always the one you want to reach out for.
The Cais do Sodré branch is open from 8 am to 6 pm every day of the week, so you can stay for a while and work undisturbed.
Obviously, and the name gives it away, you’re in a type of Scandinavian cafe that reminds me greatly of Ole & Steen, and Copenhagen Coffee Lab even has tables seemingly set up for digital nomads and their laptops.

Best Laptop Friendly Cafes in Lisbon: Dear Breakfast
Next up, you’ve got Dear Breakfast, which isn’t only one of the best cafes to work in Lisbon, but also a great place to have brunch. You’ve got everything you might wish for; a spacious coffee shop to study, amazing coffee, free WiFi, and power outlets.
Dear Breakfast has two branches in Lisbon, and again, the coffee shop near Cais do Sodré is going to be one of the most laptop friendly coffee shops you can visit.
It’s a bit more spacious and fewer people visit, although you will find freelancers and students there working at all times of the day.
However, Dear Breakfast is only open from 9 am to 4 pm on weekdays, so if you’re looking for cafes in Lisbon to study for quite a while, you’d better get there early.
If you’re visiting Lisbon, one of the best cafes to work at is called Dear Breakfast. It’s located in the heart of Lisbon and there are two locations.
The first location is downtown and is l more crowded and loud. The second location is quieter, larger and way better for working. It’s a beautifully designed cafe with tons of seating space, great coffee, and power outlets.

Best Cafes to Work in Lisbon: Hello Kristof
Funnily, one of the most popular places to study in Lisbon is Hello Kristof, despite its smaller size than Copenhagen Coffee Lab, or places like Cafe da Garagem.
For starters, Hello Kristof is more of a concept store than a simple cafe, which means you’ve got a super young and trendy atmosphere which is more than welcome when you’re looking for laptop friendly cafes in Lisbon where you’ll feel at home.
It also opens from 9 am to 4 am, and again, if you have lots of work to do, you’re going to want to come early. There is free WiFi, but you’ll find way fewer power plugs at Hello Kristof than you would at Dear Breakfast, so come with your laptop charged.
It’s however considered one of the best cafes to work in Lisbon, and there are plenty of students and digital nomads who visit Hello Kristof on a daily basis, so you’ve got a sure thing here.

Best Cafes to Study in Lisbon: Outsite Cowork Cafe
If you’re ever looking for a coworking space in Lisbon on the cheap, and really need to get work out of the way, you’ve got Outsite Cowork Cafe near Cais do Sodré.
It’s open from 9 am to 8 pm most days of the week, closes at 6 pm on Fridays, and is completely closed on weekends.
Outsite Cowork Cafe works just like a coworking space and offers a daily pass for €17, along with weekly, monthly, and flexible passes.
Not your usual laptop friendly cafe in which you’d just spend for your coffee, however, it’s indeed one of the best cafes to work in Lisbon as the WiFi is super fast, you have power outlets everywhere, and like-minded people working next to you.

Best Cafes to Work in Lisbon: Comoba
If you need to find a study cafe that closes a bit later than average in Lisbon, you’ve got Comoba. It’s open from 8 am to 7 pm every day of the week, and it’s super central since it’s located really close to the Time Out Market.
It’s one of those really laptop friendly cafes to work in Lisbon since they’ve got everything we freelancers need: power outlets, free WiFi, and a dedicated space at the back of the cafe where you can sit when Comoba gets busy with breakfast and brunch people.
It’s probably one of the most unique places where you can work remotely in Lisbon, as there are very few coffee shops with plants surrounding laptop people in town.

Best Cafes to Study in Lisbon: Curva Cafe
In the same line at Comoba, with plants and greenery all around you, while you’re studying, you’ve got Curva, really close to the Alfama neighborhood.
It opens from 10 am to 6 pm on weekdays, and from 10 am to 5 pm from Friday to Saturday.
Here, we’ve got a super cute coffee shop that doubles as an art gallery, and while there are very few power outlets at Curva, the spot is still laptop friendly.
You can either sit at the back or near the entrance, where you’ll enjoy plenty of natural light along with amazing coffee.
Free WiFi and great cakes are also available, so if you just need to work for a bit, Curva is indeed one of the best cafes to study in Lisbon and work on your laptop.

Best Cafes to Work in Lisbon: Dual
With Dual, you’ve got one of the biggest and best cafes to work in Lisbon, and it has its very own personality.
Located in the Cais do Sodré area, Dual used to be called Give it a Shot, and it offers plenty of desks as well as free WiFi.
There are very few power outlets considering the size of the coffee shop, so if you want to get a guaranteed spot near a power plug, I’d recommend arriving early.
Dual is open from 9 am to 11 pm most days of the week, closes at 6 pm on Mondays and Tuesdays, and it’s completely closed on Sundays.
Even with shorter opening hours, you’ve still got one of the most laptop friendly cafes in Lisbon with this one.
You’ve got plenty of time and space to get some good work and studying done, and while Dual is not a coworking space, you’ll be required to get at least €10 of coffee/cakes/drinks if you want to stay for a few hours.

Best Laptop Friendly Cafes in Lisbon: Seagull Method
Seagull Method in Principe Real will remind you a lot of places like Hello Kristof and Dear Breakfast.
Why?
Because it’s not only a great place to study in Lisbon, but also the spot where you’ll get some of the best breakfast, brunch, and lunch in the city.
Seagull Method is not the biggest working cafe, but you have free WiFi, and power outlets scattered all around the cafe.
It’s one of the most digital nomad-friendly places to come with your laptop, open from 9 am to 6 pm every day.
Also, if you just want to have breakfast there someday, Seagull Method also has a patio, perfect to enjoy the Lisbon vibe.
When you visit, you’ll see plenty of people working and studying, as it’s really a heartwarming place to bring your notes and your PC.

Best Cafes to Work in Lisbon: Fauna & Flora
Fauna & Flora is located close to the Conde Barao station, and very near Green Street, one of the most instagrammable places in Lisbon.
It’s open from 9 am to 7 pm every day of the week, and while it’s not the biggest cafe to work in Lisbon, it’s an amazingly refreshing work spot.
You’ve got plants surrounding you, and Fauna & Flora is quite spacious, really perfect if you’re wondering where to work remotely in Lisbon.
The menu is great as well, so whether you’re coming for breakfast, lunch or just feeling like having a snack, you’ll be served.
There are very few power outlets at Fauna & Flora, so come with your laptop charged – however, there’s good and free WiFi, as well as people coming in often to work so you won’t feel alone.
Be aware this is a very popular place, so I’d recommend coming when breakfast/brunch/lunch is over.

Best Cafes to Study in Lisbon: Rebel Cafe
While Rebel Cafe is only open from 10 am to 5 pm (closed on Sundays), it’s one of the best cafes to work in Lisbon if you’re looking for a pretty study cafe with power outlets and free WiFi.
Rebel Cafe is located in Bairro Alto, famous for its bustling nightlife, but since you’ll have to walk a little bit to reach Rebel Cafe from the party places, you’ve got a good study spot, quiet enough to really be productive with work.
Lots of tables, good prices, a beautiful coffee shop tainted with Portuguese colors in stunning surroundings – that’s pretty much one of the cutest laptop friendly cafes to work in Lisbon.

Best Places to Study in Lisbon: Cafe da Garagem
Not easy to find secret cafes in Lisbon, but Cafe da Garagem is probably one of them, and one of the best cafes to get work done in Lisbon with a view.
When you get to Cafe da Garagem, you’ll probably see lots of people already working on their laptops, since there are both free WiFi and power outlets there.
However, since the table space is on the lower side, I’d recommend coming in as early as possible.
Cafe da Garagem is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays and opens from 1 pm to 9 pm every other day. A bit of a letdown if you’re like me, waking up super early to do your work.
However, you’ve got plenty of desks, tables, and chairs, and really, power plugs available everywhere so you can still enjoy sightseeing in the morning and then get to work for a few hours.

Best Cafes to Work in Lisbon: Wish Slow Coffee House
One of my favorite things in Lisbon was visiting the LX Factory; it’s a huge space with food stalls, concept stores, and lots of other cute little shops where you can go to get artisan-made souvenirs to bring back home.
And inside this bustling space, you’ve got another one of the best cafes to work in Lisbon: Wish Slow Coffee House.
It’s open from 10 am to 7 pm, and you’ve got free WiFi and power outlets there – you’ll definitely see why it’s a perfect study spot when you meet other digital nomads working there.
One of the cutest coffee shops in Lisbon to work in, with plenty of tables, a beautiful minimalist setting, and a simply a great vibe to get some good studying done.

Best Laptop Friendly Cafes in Lisbon: De Bru
De Bru is not only a coffee shop, but also a craft drinks place, and a little bit of a concept store.
When you come in, you’ll think that it is a really small coffee shop, but all you need to do is go up the stairs and you’ll probably already find other digital nomads working on their laptops.
You have free WiFi as well as a few power outlets here and there, which makes it one of the best cafes to work in Lisbon if you have a few tasks to do.
The opening times are also great: De Bru is open from 11:30 am to 11:30 pm most days of the week, except on Saturdays when it opens at 5, and on Sundays, when it’s closed.
In any case, if there is one day you don’t want to work, De Bru also organizes events, workshops and for newcomers to Lisbon, it’s probably going to become one of your new headquarters if you want to meet people.

Best Cafes to Study in Lisbon: Work Cafe Santander
Although Santander is one of the main banks in London, where I live for part of my time, I’ve never seen a Santander work cafe before visiting Lisbon.
And to be honest, the Work Cafe Santander is one of the best cafes to work in Lisbon if you want to be sure the people surrounding you are also trying to be productive with work.
It’s open from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm every day of the week except at weekends when Work Cafe Santander is closed. Let’s be clear, this is a coffee shop located inside a bank, however, it also acts as a coworking space and has coffee and cakes available at all times of the day.
You’ve got single tables, communal tables, free WiFi and power outlets, as well as lots of people coming here on a daily basis just because they’re looking for the best places to study in Lisbon like us.

Best Cafes to Work in Lisbon: Fabrica Coffee Roasters
Fabrica Coffee Roasters may close at 5 pm, but it’s open from 9 am and offers one of the biggest laptop friendly places to study in Lisbon.
What do you have there? Free WiFi, a few power outlets, and a huge coffee shop that attracts digital nomads, local students, and freelancers on a daily basis.
Fabrica Coffee Roasters actually has more than one branch, with several spots around Lisbon.
Yet, if you’re looking for good cafes that allow you to work near the center, then the branch between the Moorish Quarter and Principe Real will be spot on.
Also, if you happen to enjoy great coffee, Fabrica Coffee Roasters brews some cups which will definitely wake you up in the morning, and you can even buy bags to bring back home.
