Let’s start with Gossip Coffee, which is located on 30th avenue.

This is not the most welcoming coffee shop when it comes to either drinks or food, to be honest – let’s say it from the get-go.

You’d better come early in the morning if you want fresh pastries; from their famous cookies to fresh doughnuts.

However, if you’re looking for good coffee shops to work with WiFi, Gossip Coffee offers an amazing outdoor patio in the back where you will have free WiFi, will be covered and will be able to work for a few hours while remaining undisturbed.

Like many of the laptop friendly cafes to work in New York City, Gossip Coffee closes pretty early – it is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day of the week.

There are very few power outlets in the coffee shop and none in the patio.

So, if you are planning to do some work on your laptop, I would recommend you come early, with your laptop and your phone charged as you might not be able to charge them while working.

Best Laptop Friendly Cafe in Queens NYC: Astoria Coffee

Now, if you’re looking for the very best cafes to work in Queens, you have Astoria Coffee. It is also located on 30th street and offers amazing drinks, including specialty coffee and fresh pastries.

This is not one of the biggest working coffee shops at all but Astoria Coffee does have a few power outlets, a few single tables where you can work on your own without being interrupted, and some communal seats as well.

The opening hours are pretty short since Astoria Coffee is open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. most days of the week and from 8 to 5 on weekends.

It is not the place you want to work all day long since there is a time limit to the WiFi (one hour) to allow for a rotation of people in the coffee shop.

Despite this time limit on the WiFi, Astoria Coffee is still probably the best laptop friendly cafe in Astoria, especially given how many students and freelancers come to stay for a bit.

The New York City Bagel & Coffee House is one of the best cafes to work in Astoria – if we can call it a cafe per se.

At NYCB & CH, you not only get amazingly fresh bagels and pretty good coffee on a daily basis; but you also get one of the most underrated cafes to work in Queens, with free WiFi and a terrace.

Heads-up, WiFi can be unreliable at times, so if you come to work, try it out for a short while, or prepare to hotspot.

The location on 23rd Ave is one of the biggest that New York City Bagel & Coffee House has in Queens when it comes to working coffee shops, and you’ve got plenty of single tables where you can set up camp with your laptop and your notebooks for a while.

New York City Bagel & Coffee House opens from 6 am to 7 pm every day, so you really have lots of time to grind and make it happen.

Please be aware there are no power outlets, or very few, so come with your phone and your laptop charged if you’re planning to stay for a while.

Bee Cafe in Woodside is open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. most days of the week, except on Fridays and Saturdays when they’re open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

One of the interesting things about Bee Cafe (and what makes it one of the best cafes to work in Queens) is the fact that they have power outlets and free WiFi inside the coffee shop – but be aware that they have a no laptop policy after 5 pm.

It is one of the most inspiring cafes to work in Queens because of the plants and the amazing decor. Bee Cafe is also one of the only coffee shops to have a garden in the back where you can study on your books and notebooks for quite some time.

There are no power plugs in the garden, and if you want to charge your laptop you will have to sit inside (translate: come as early as possible), but if you’re looking for laptop friendly cafes in Queens to work just a few minutes from Woodside station, Bee Cafe is one of your best options.

Another one of the most laptop friendly cafes in Queens is Milk & Pull, located on Seneca Avenue in Ridgewood.

There, you have free WiFi, and while there are very few power outlets, you have plenty of seating space at Milk & Pull.

There are several branches of Milk & Pull in NYC, but this one is really spacious and it is open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. most days of the week except at weekends when they open at 8 p.m.

Pretty good opening times if you usually wake up early, basically.

It’s one of these cafes I would tell you to come early if you want some sitting space.

Plus, since Milk & Pull is bright and really spacious, you have here one of the best working coffee shops to study for hours on end while tasting amazing coffee, bagels, and pastries.

Best Cafes to Work in Queens NYC: Grey Cafe

Grey Cafe is one of the biggest cafes to work in Queens, and it also offers amazing opening times.

Indeed, it’s open from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day of the week – there are very few working coffee shops that offer that kind of opening hours in the surroundings.

The only downside is that Grey Cafe is located pretty far from places like Astoria and Manhattan, but if you’re around outer Queens and are looking for a pretty quiet laptop friendly cafe to work, it is one of your best options.

Grey Cafe actually even advertises its space as a working and studying space, so as soon as the week starts, just go for it – especially if you need a space to be really productive.

During the evening and at weekends, Grey Cafe is much busier and offers delicious dishes.

But if what you’re looking for is a good cafe to work in Queens with WiFi, come during the week as the cafe is pretty much empty, and try their stunning Danish and scones!
