Having been a makeup artist in London, I’ve spent lots of time trying to find really amazing – and cheap makeup in London.

Creating your makeup artist kit is quite fun in my opinion, and I have to admit that all the various makeup shops in London were partly what decided me to move to the UK.

Not only that, really, but what other city offers Turkish makeup brands blended with some drugstore British makeup and even Polish makeup brands?

I have only been able to find – so far – that variety in international makeup brands in Barcelona.

Indeed, some makeup shops in Barcelona also offer a mix of Turkish, British, American and even French makeup brands.

But you know it, I know it, going shopping in London is just that much more exciting.

So, without further ado, here are all the cool shops in Oxford Street, Westfield and all areas of London where you’ll be able to purchase really cheap and good drugstore makeup!

In this guide, I’ll only tell you about a selection of my favorite spots to shop for cheap makeup in London.

These include the famous Boots and Superdrug stores, as well as other lesser-known chains like Beauty Base.

In these, you can easily find lipsticks and lip liners for a couple of pounds (like the Barry M lip liners), eyeshadow palettes from £3 (like the ELF Bite Size palettes)…

So much to really enjoy shopping in London without breaking the bank!

Where to Buy Cheap Makeup in London: Beauty Base (Several Locations)

Beauty Base is one of the top spots you need to visit if you’re looking for cheap makeup in London, but not only.

My favorite Beauty Base branch is located in Westfield White City, which is nothing short of the best shopping center in London.

There, you’ll also find plenty of other drugstore and luxury makeup brands, but Beauty Base is best for drugstore American makeup, as well as a few British brands.

LA Girl, LA Colors, Technic, W7 – these are a few of the brands you can find there, with plenty of eyeshadow palettes, nail polishes and beautiful lipsticks.

Westfield White City is also amazing for whoever loves scented candles. Indeed, that’s where you’ll find the only Bath and Body Works in London.

A walk around the shopping center will allow you to shop more clothes, cosmetics and accessories and you can easily spend a good half day there!

Where to Buy Cheap Makeup in London: Superdrug & Boots

You’ll find all the British drugstore makeup brands you need to know at both Superdrug and Boots.

There are many branches all around town, but my favorite – and best-stocked makeup shops in London are those located on Oxford Street.

A couple of amazing British makeup brands to shop at Superdrug and Boots are Collection, Barry M, MUA Makeup Academy and Makeup Revolution.

The Revolution eyeshadow palettes are super cheap, and they even have a lot of MAC lipstick dupes for a handful of pounds.

Superdrug is also the shop to get Juvia’s Place eyeshadow palettes, where they are often sold and part of the Superdrug 3×2 sales.

What makes Superdrug an amazing place to shop for cheap makeup in London is indeed their regular 3×2 sales, which Boots does not offer.

However, in both shops, you can get a fidelity card for free, get points with every purchase and then save on future purchases.

We all know how important it is to save money, especially since the majority of the population is living in London on a budget!

Another interesting difference to know is that Superdrug really is that drugstore makeup shop, while at Boots, you’ll find higher end makeup from brands like Clinique, Fenty Beauty and Estee Lauder.

Heck, you’ll even find a few of the most popular nude MAC lipsticks at Boots, too!

Where to Buy Cheap Makeup in London: Primark

Way before I became a makeup artist years ago, I was really hooked on the Primark makeup range.

I was living in France, and while there are lots of makeup shops in Paris, Primark was not easily accessible.

If you’re looking for cheap makeup in London, you can hardly do better than the Primark makeup and cosmetics range.

The Primark lip liners are some items you definitely need to pick up – at around £1.50 a pop, they are super pigmented, longlasting and overall great budget makeup finds.

I would not recommend the Primark eyeshadow palettes, though, unless you’re looking for something with average pigmentation (some people do for everyday makeup looks).

However, the Primark blushes are some other great items to pick up, as well as the matte lip kits and lipglosses.

Where to Buy Cheap Makeup in London: TK Maxx (Several Locations) & Budget Shops

There are a lot of cool things to buy at TK Maxx, and obviously, (you know me), makeup is part of them.

You’ll find some really good skincare and makeup at TK Maxx from all backgrounds – drugstore, high end makeup, you’ll find it all there.

Some of the best brands to check out at TK Maxx are Illamasqua, MAC Cosmetics, Tom Ford, Pixi Beauty, Technic and Profusion Cosmetics.

Profusion Cosmetics offers some utterly pigmented – and cheap eyeshadow palettes that are amazing for day-to-day wear or occasions (especially their metallic eyeshadows) that retail around £5 a pop.

Nail polish at TK Maxx is also really cheap – the Essie nail polishes I love so much retail between £2.99 and £3.99 for a regular size!

When I enter one of the many budget shops in London, I usually don’t know what I’m going to find in terms of makeup, stationery and candles – three of the things I most look for.

If you want to find makeup that is even cheaper, all the budget shops like Poundland and B&M also sell makeup.

It goes from brands like W7 (the W7 nail polishes are incredible and so cheap!) and Technic for B&M to Rimmel, Maybelline and Makeup Gallery at Poundland.

All these are perfect to find good and cheap makeup in London, especially pigmented and longlasting products.

Where to Buy Cheap Makeup in London: Pak’s Cosmetics (Several Locations)

What’s most interesting about Pak’s Cosmetics is the fact that it targets darker-skinned customers with plenty of amazing hair and beauty products that actually show up even if you’re not fair-skinned.

That’s where you’ll find plenty of drugstore makeup brands such as Maybelline, Kiss eyelashes, Ardell or Sleek.

These are all brands you can usually get pretty easily in London, but there are a couple of American makeup brands that are interesting to check out at Pak’s Cosmetics too.

Nicka K and its amazingly cheap matte lipsticks, Bellapierre Cosmetics and Iman Cosmetics – which offers super pigmented makeup for black skin are all to be found in that shop.

Pak’s Cosmetics has several shops around London, but my favorite, and one of the biggest branches is located right outside The Mall in Wood Green, in North London.

You’ll also find at The Mall one of the biggest TK Maxx shops in London, so if you feel like shopping more, Wood Green it is.
