That’s why one of my favorite ever Level 8 suitcases is the Gibraltar Aluminum carry-on because of its sturdiness, its elegance and its very posh aesthetics.
However, some time ago, I received the Level 8 Voyageur Set and was, as usual, blown away by its sophistication and textures.
The brand has many different sets on offer with check in suitcases, carry-ons, as well as packing cubes, organizers, backpacks and more.
For something a bit different, the limited-edition black and yellow Voyageur set is interesting to have at home!

New York City-based Level 8 has been around since 2008, which means they’ve been crafting elegant and trustworthy luggage and accessories for over 15 years.

Each of the Level 8 luggage sets has something a bit different from the other sets, which make them interesting to own and glide around during your travels.
For instance, when it comes to the Gibraltar Aluminum luggage I reviewed some time ago, some highlights included the dual TSA-approved locks and the slow-release handles.
When it comes to the Level 8 Voyageur set, here are some features that make this set special:

Level 8 Voyageur Set Review: Aesthetics and Details
I have so far reviewed quite a few of the Level 8 luggage sets, and one thing that always surprises me is how lightweight the suitcases are.
That’s also the case with the Voyageur set, which is all the more enticing because of its bicolor hard shell.
I have chosen the Yellow and Black limited edition set, but you can also choose a mint and grey version called Celadon, or keep it discreet with the Voyageur Set in Black or Navy.
The wheels do feel very sturdy and glide easily outside, and their ‘8’ pattern, printed in yellow, adds a little something to each of the Level 8 suitcases.
Something I particularly appreciate about this set can be noticed on the Voyageur check in suitcase (28″): not only do you have a smooth handle but also a handle on top of the suitcase.
It’s quite rare to find such handles on check in luggage, and the fact that Level 8 has thought this through makes it even easier to use only a check in suitcase to move countries, if you’re a digital nomad.

I, for instance, only ever move countries with a check in suitcase and a carry-on luggage at most, and that detail makes very much sense to me.
Level 8 Voyageur Set Review: Inside the Suitcases
The inside of the Level 8 Voyageur set suitcases is different from other sets already reviewed on The Working Line too.
Depending on the suitcase, you have several see-through pockets that allow you to instantly spot what you have packed.
It’s not just about the hard shell diamond texture, though – the inside of the suitcases that are part of the Voyageur set feels sophisticated as well.
The printed details make the suitcases that much more interesting to look at, but beyond simple aesthetics, the pragmatic part of me loves the possibility to organize my clothes and accessories easily when using the Voyageur luggage.

Level 8 Voyageur Set Review: Final Thoughts
It’s not the first time I rave about the Level 8 carry on and check in suitcases, and it’s clearly not the last.
If I had to compare the Grace luggage set with the Voyageur set, I would say that the Voyageur set feels more artsy.
In terms of quality, I cannot fault Level 8 on any front, and it’s really a matter of taste whether you choose this or that set.
For instance, the Grace luggage set, whether you choose it in Black, Champagne, or Navy feels more discreet where the Voyageur set is definitely made for pragmatic, organized trips with a touch of crazy.
The Luminous Textured luggage set feels extra-discreet compared to the Grace set, and for a simple carry-on with extra elegance, you can’t do better than the Gibraltar Aluminum suitcase.

All in all, I am of the opinion that the Level 8 luggage are items you really can’t go without if you’re looking to invest in suitcases that will last you years.
I’ve used many, many suitcases over the years since I’ve become a digital nomad and a full-time blogger, and I’ve never been as impressed as I am when I use the Level 8 luggage sets.
The brand achieves wonders in terms of design, and their goal of helping people travel effortlessly, with suitcases that really do encompass beauty and utility is fulfilled with each of their sets.
