If you’re traveling or moving to the city, chances are you’ll be looking for places to go cheap clothes shopping in London.

Not just clothes but cheap and good shoes as well, maybe backpacks – a little bit of everything you need to have a complete look.

There are quite a few decent cheap shops on Oxford Street, too, despite the fact that it is one of the most famous shopping spots in London.

In any case, I’ve gathered here all the cheap shops in London I used to visit very regularly before going on my Europe tour.

Whatever happens, I know I want to be back in London and check out these clothing shops for new collections!

Shopping in London is one of the coolest things to do in London Bridge, Oxford Street, West Hampstead…

At least for me.

There’s something I love about finding new DW Home candles at TK Maxx.

Or new makeup at Superdrug or Boots.

But clothes, really, is another story.

I always feel like nothing really fits/suits me, and if that’s your case, some of these spots might come in handy when you’re looking for places to do cheap clothes shopping in London!

I love TK Maxx – if you’ve been here before, you know about that.

I’ve actually written a full guide to the best TK Maxx in London, whether you’re looking for clothes, shoes, bags, candles, jewelry, makeup or even homeware.

If you’re looking for cheap clothes in London, TK Maxx is always a great budget shop to visit.

There, you’ll find some very affordable brands like Nobody’s Child, which offers some of the most beautiful dresses I’ve ever seen.

You’ll also find Levi’s, Replay, Guess and more – but also some much cheaper brands.

On the other hand, if you’re ever looking for cheap designer clothes in London, TK Maxx also happens to be one of the best spots.

From Dolce & Gabbana to Moschino, you never know what you’re going to find at TK Maxx.

I really love finding new charity shops in London.

And there are quite a few charity shops in Camden, but the best ones for clothes – in my opinion at least – is Traid Camden.

Traid is famous for offering almost brand new (and brand new) second hand clothes, and they each have a little edge to them.

Traid Camden is not the biggest place to go cheap clothes shopping in London, but it’s clearly amazing to craft a new style for ourselves.

Not too far, you have Max Orient Camden if you want to find a good, affordable buffet in London not too far from Camden Market.

Charity shopping is one of the coolest things to do in Camden Town, so if you can pop by Traid, you’re bound to find something!

If you like the vibe of Traid Camden, pay a visit to another branch, in Dalston.

Located not too far from Stoke Newington, Traid Dalston is one of the biggest charity shops in London.

And one of my favorite spots to go cheap clothes shopping, of course.

Same edgy vibe, with many more items to choose from.

The prices are very affordable here too, but you might find more stylish and high-end clothes and accessories in the Dalston shop.

Cheap Clothes Shopping in London: Primark

Primark is one of the most famous places to go cheap clothes shopping in London, especially when you’re around Oxford Street.

There are two huge Primark shops on Oxford Street.

One is closer to Tottenham Court Road station, and one is closer to Marble Arch station.

Both have roughly the same collections, but I prefer the Tottenham Court Road branch.

It’s better maintained, which is important when you’re trying to shop for new clothes – which can sometimes be stressful.

The Primark makeup is also not too shabby, if I may, so if you’re ever looking for cheap makeup in London, try their lip liners and their eyebrow products.

Matalan is the perfect spot to go cheap clothes shopping in London when you want true blue basics.

From shirts to shoes, and from tops to dresses, you also have it all there.

The designs are really more basic, and maybe more suitable for women than for teenagers.

However, Matalan often has sales running, so who knows what you’ll find there?

My favorite Matalan branch is the one in Wood Green, where you’ll also find a big TK Maxx.

This branch near The Mall and some of the coolest cafes to work in North London, Pret, is special because it’s a Matalan Clearance…

Which means it’s even cheaper.

And it’s close to Addax, another one of the trendiest clothes shops in London.

Out of this entire guide to cheap clothes shopping in London, Addax in Wood Green is my favorite spot to visit.

Addax is a Turkish clothing brand, which I discovered in London and that is also present in Istanbul.

You never know, if you ever want to visit clothing shops in Istanbul, for instance, it could come in handy to know Addax.

At Addax, you’ll find everything from cardigans to stretchy flared pants, amazing hoodies and cool jeans.

In addition, there are plenty of cool accessories from hats to jewelry and even perfume there!

Well, everyone knows H&M, and while some collections are much more expensive than used to be, it’s still great for basics.

One of my favorite places to go cheap clothes shopping in London, especially when I pay a visit to the Stratford, Westfield White City and Oxford Circus stores.

You can almost always find everything you need at H&M, whether it be bodysuits, cheap jewelry, skirts, or jeans.

The London Designer Outlet is one of my favorite places to go cheap clothes shopping in London.

It’s located in Wembley, not too far from West Hampstead where I lived for a couple of months at the beginning of the year.

The London Designer Outlet is not the cheapest shopping spot in London, but for cheaper clothing brands, it’s just fantastic.

From Nike to Superdry, Adidas, The North Face and even Kurt Geiger, there’s lots to shop there.

There’s also an M&S outlet, which can come in handy as the shop’s clothes are usually more affordable than the aforementioned brands.

For anyone who loves finding cheap Yankee Candles in London, you have the amazing Yankee Candle outlet with some really popular scents.

And since makeup can be super pricey, you’ll be happy to know that you have Beauty Outlet there.

It’s one of the best places to get cheap makeup in London, and one I absolutely love for discounted Revolution palettes and W7 nail polish.

Cheap Clothes Shopping in London: ICON Outlet

The ICON Outlet in Greenwich, in South West London, used to be one of my favorite spots to go shopping in London.

That was before the Yankee Candle outlet shop shut down, as it was the main reason I used to visit the ICON Outlet shopping centre.

There are many clothing brands to shop for much cheaper here, though.

From Tommy Hilfiger to Adidas and Calvin Klein, you have plenty of spots to browse.

In addition, you also have a Beauty Outlet there, and The Body Shop outlet too – cool if you’re looking for affordable cosmetics!

Cheap Clothes Shopping in London: Poundland

Poundland is one of my favorite budget shops in London – there, you can get anything from cheap clothes to makeup, candles, baby wipes, and even food!

Some of my favorite branches are located on Portobello Road in Notting Hill, North Finchley, and on Kilburn High Road.

You also have another one of the best Poundland shops in London in Enfield – really huge, with lots of cheap clothes.

For men, women or kids, you’re bound to find new basics and maybe some trendy pieces!

I worked for Arlettie London for a bit, so I know exactly how it works.

And the truth is, it’s not one of the cheapest clothes shops in London at all.

It’s one of the cheaper clothes shops, though.

Think high-end, couture, luxury clothing brands here, because that’s what you’ll find at Arlettie London.

Located close to Oxford Street, it’s probably one of the best hidden gems in London.

From Balenciaga to Louboutin, you have private sales running almost every day, allowing you to shop discounted designer brands right in Central London.

Deichmann is a little bonus in this guide to cheap clothes shopping in London, as the chain mostly sells shoes.

You won’t really find clothes there, but if you’re looking for places to get cheap shoes in London, you’ll love this place.

You do have some brands; I’ve spotted Nike and Fila there.

You also have the Deichmann shoe brand, which is, well, kind of unbranded, and much cheaper of course.

If you need to get shoes in London and you’re on a tight budget, you’ll love Deichmann.

My favorite branches of Deichmann in London are in the Stratford Shopping Centre and in The Mall in Wood Green.

And there you have them, all the best spots to go cheap clothes shopping in London!

I deliberately chose not to include London’s vintage shops because they can turn out to be way more expensive than what you were planning.

I’ll definitely write about the best vintage shops in London at some point, as well as the best markets in London to unveil new hidden gems.

But for now, for really tight budgets, and even more if you’re a student in London, you’ve got everything you need!
