Before we get started: I’ve only included still existing NYX lip liners as well as existing MAC lip liners in the USA.
Some shades of NYX lip liners are only available in the UK or Europe.
Yet, I want everyone to be able to find the best NYX MAC dupes here today – and actually be able to get them whenever they want to.
I’ll talk here about some of the best NYX MAC lip liner dupes, from Whirl to Cork, Spice, Chestnut, Ruby Woo and Soar.
However, what use is it that I’ve worked for MAC Cosmetics if I’m not going to take things even further?

Best NYX MAC Lip Liner Dupes: Natural for Spice
The most famous NYX lip liner dupe for MAC Spice is the shade Natural, a beautiful warm beige color that’s really adequate if you’re looking for a NYX lip liner to match MAC Velvet Teddy.
Perfect as a lip liner for fair skin to replace the utter beauty that the Spice lip liner is.
It’s also really one of the best NYX MAC lip liner dupes in this entire guide, just because it’s so wearable on a daily basis.

Best MAC Lip Liner Dupes from NYX: Mauve for Whirl
Next up is another one of the most famous NYX lip liner dupes for MAC Whirl, and it’s the Mauve lip liner.
You’ve got almost the same tonality of pinkish brown shade, although Mauve is just slightly lighter than the Whirl lip liner.
Super creamy all the same, and one of the mauve lip colors you’ll go through really fast if you like wearing mauve lipsticks or nude lipsticks of the same shade as the Yash lipstick, for instance.

Best NYX MAC Lip Liner Dupes: Ever for Soar
If you’re ever looking for a NYX lip liner to use as a MAC Soar dupe, you’ve got the Ever lip pencil.
To be honest, I had this one years ago and while lots of people seem to think the shade Ever is a good dupe for the MAC Soar lip liner, I’ve also got another thought.
Some of the NYX lip liners are perfect, spot-on MAC lip liner dupes, but a lot actually oscillate between two MAC shades.
It’s the case of the Ever lip liner, which I also think could sometimes be a good dupe for the MAC Chicory lip pencil (which is much warmer, and more brown-toned than Soar) depending on your skin tone.

Best MAC Lip Liner Dupes from NYX: Bloom for Beet
A teeny bit of a long shot for the NYX Bloom lip liner, which I think is the closest MAC Beet lip liner dupe.
I was also thinking of the NYX Cabaret lip liner, but it’s much more burgundy than the Bloom shade.
The NYX Bloom lip liner is still one of the best NYX MAC lip liner dupes for Beet in my opinion.
It’s almost got the same tone, and almost the same raspberry color as Beet, just a tad cooler-toned, more purple-toned.
To be honest, I think the Bloom shade bears much more resemblance to the now-discontinued MAC Nightingale lip liner.
Also some kind of resemblance to the Retro Matte Flat Out Fabulous lipstick, but it’s still something not too far off from the Beet lip liner.

Best NYX MAC Lip Liner Dupes: Mahogany for Half Red
Then, if you’re ever looking for a NYX MAC Half Red lip liner dupe, you’ve got the Mahogany lip liner.
With such a name, you’d expect Mahogany to have the same kind of reddish brown color that the actual MAC Mahogany lip liner has, but nope.
Half Red is one of my favorite MAC lip liners for dark skin tones, as well as on myself, with my fair olive skin.
And one of the best NYX MAC lip liner dupes is Mahogany for Half Red.
But also for the MAC Plum lip liner, if you have a darker skin tone and don’t mind the slightly redder color of the NYX Mahogany lip liner compared to Plum.

Best MAC Lip Liner Dupes NYX: Plum for Burgundy
If you’ve been looking for a MAC Burgundy lip liner dupe, you’ve got the NYX Plum lip liner.
Really tricky to find the perfect NYX dupe for dark MAC lip liner shades, to be honest.
Indeed, there are quite a few that could double as the MAC Burgundy lip liner.
However, the NYX Plum lip liner has that same blackish red color which would look stunning with burgundy lipsticks like Diva, so there’s that.
You could also make the NYX Currant lip liner pass as the MAC Burgundy lip liner, but I do think Currant is closer to MAC Nightmoth to be honest.

Best NYX MAC Lip Liner Dupes: Nude Beige for Oak
Next up, you’ve got the NYX Nude Beige lip liner if you’re looking for a MAC Oak lip liner dupe.
Later in this guide, we’ll talk about the perfect Stripdown dupe, but since Oak is a tad lighter than Stripdown and still bears that light brown greyish color, Nude Beige is perfect.
On pale and very fair skin tones, I do think this would be one of the best nude lip liners, on its own or with very light nude lipsticks.
You could use it with lipsticks like Yash or Hug Me, especially if you’re looking for a really affordable dupe for the MAC Oak lip liner.

The NYX Deep Purple lip liner is, in my opinion, one of the best NYX lip liner dupes for the MAC Vino lip liner.
You’ve got that deep, purple color in both, and the only difference is that the Deep Purple lip liner is a tad more purple than Vino, which offers a redder base.
Still perfect with all kinds of dark MAC lipsticks or with a lighter color like the Mehr lipstick or the Whirl lipstick if you’d like to create an interesting ombre lip look.

Best NYX MAC Lip Liner Dupes: Peekaboo Neutral for Dervish
The NYX Peekaboo Neutral lip liner is not too far off the MAC Dervish lip liner, if you’re looking for a nude color to wear shades like Honeylove, Creme Cup, or Cosmo.
Actually, I’d say the Dervish lip liner is a tad pinker than Peekaboo Neutral.
If you’d like to also use it as another warmer NYX MAC lip liner dupe, I’d say you can also use the Peekaboo Neutral lip liner as a dupe for Boldly Bare.

Then, if you’ve looking for a MAC Boldly Bare lip liner dupe, I’ve got another good option for you, although we have also seen the NYX Peekaboo Neutral lip liner right before.
The perfect NYX lip liner dupe I’ve got for Boldly Bare is in the shade Soft Brown, that weirdly, I haven’t seen lots of people talk about.
The NYX Soft Brown lip liner is a tiny bit more neutral than Boldly Bare, still in the same kind of tonality, like Spice, but lighter.

If you’re ever looking for the perfect NYX MAC Cherry lip liner dupe, you’re going to be disappointed in the Slim Lip Pencil range.
What I’ve got here is the NYX Hot Red lip liner, which is perfect as a Ruby Woo lip liner dupe with its bright blue-toned red color.
Although we don’t have NYX MAC lip liner dupes for Cherry in the Slim Lip Pencils, I do think you can still wear the Hot Red lip liner with many of the MAC red lipsticks, like Ruby Woo or Cockney.

As hard as it’s been to find a MAC Cherry lip liner dupe in the NYX Slim Lip Pencil range, it’s also been tough to find one for the Brick lip line, and actually, I’ve not found any.
However, if you’re ever looking for a MAC Redd lip liner dupe, you’ve got the NYX Plush Red lip liner.
It’s much brighter than the Ruby Woo lip liner and its NYX dupe, and much warmer-toned; almost bright red orange depending on the lighting.

Best NYX MAC Lip Liner Dupes: Pinky for Talking Points
Now onto one of the MAC lip liner dupes from NYX no one talks about, the NYX Pinky lip liner which you can use if you don’t want to splurge on the MAC Talking Points lip liner!
Talking Points is a little bit more purple-toned than the NYX Pinky lip liner.
Still, you’ve still got a really good dupe here for bright pink MAC lipsticks like Candy Yum-Yum, or to put some clear lipgloss on top.

We talked about the NYX Nude Beige lip liner for MAC Oak, now we’re going to talk about the NYX Nude Truffle lip liner, a perfect dupe for the MAC Stripdown lip liner.
No joke, I remember Stripdown being one of my most-sold lip liners when I used to work at MAC Cosmetics.
In both lip liners, you’ve got the same amount of brown and grey, which basically makes Stripdown a lighter and warmer version of the Stone lip liner.
Plus, the NYX version is creamier, and super comfortable to wear on a day-to-day basis.

One of the most famous NYX MAC lip liner dupes is the NYX Espresso lip liner, a perfect, perfect dupe for the MAC Chestnut lip liner.
I have lost track of how many people I sold the Chestnut lip liner to when I was working at MAC, but if you don’t want to splurge, Espresso is a great dupe.
I do also think that another good MAC Chestnut lip liner dupe would be the NYX Hot Cocoa lip liner.
However, it does have this slightly redder base, and would look perfect with brown MAC lipsticks like Film Noir or Antique Velvet.

Best NYX MAC Lip Liner Dupes: Prune for Nightmoth
I’ve got two good options if you’re looking for a MAC Nightmoth lip liner dupe from NYX: Prune, and Currant.
I do think that the NYX Prune lip liner is closest in terms of darkness, but it’s slightly more purple than Nightmoth.
The NYX Currant lip liner, which can also be a good dupe for the MAC Burgundy lip liner, is still a tiny bit redder and darker than Prune.
Since the difference doesn’t show that much on lip liners, especially when layering a lipstick on top, both can really work well if you’re looking for NYX MAC lip liner dupes for Nightmoth.

Now, if you’re ever looking for a MAC Cork lip liner dupe from NYX, you’ve got the Brown lip liner.
There are quite a few amazing brown lip liners available in the Slim Lip Pencil range at NYX, but few have the same kind of yellow undertone and the same darkness as the MAC Cork lip liner.
Except the NYX Brown lip liner, which is going to be one of your favorite NYX MAC lip liner dupes, especially if you’ve got medium to dark skin.

Best NYX MAC Lip Liner Dupes: Fuchsia for Magenta
As I told you at the beginning of this guide, I’ve found a pretty good MAC Magenta lip liner dupe in the shape of the NYX Fuchsia lip liner.
However, it’s honestly not the best we could have.
The best NYX MAC lip liner dupe for Magenta is the shade Purple Rain, but it’s not currently available on the official US website.
The next best thing is the NYX Fuchsia lip liner, which offers a slightly pinker finish, but still works really well with winter MAC lipsticks like Flat Out Fabulous.
