Among the best Barry M products, you will find the gel nail polishes – that’s a fact.
I’ve lately told you about one of my favorite Gelly Hi Shine shades, the Honeysuckle nail paint, and I stand by what I said again and again – in terms of drugstore nail polish, you can hardly beat Barry M.
Which is why, during my last trip to London, since I only live there part time at the moment, I got about two dozens Barry M nail polishes.
The Diamond Luxe Shimmer Nail Paints, as they’re called, are two nail polishes I got as a gift for spending over 8 pounds at Barry M when I was shopping at Superdrug.
I picked the shades Marquise and Finest, which I absolutely love, and that, despite the glitter, are colors I wear on a daily without feeling my nails are overdressed.
Nail Polish: Barry M Diamond Luxe Marquise & Finest Swatches

I have lost track of the number of times I’ve told you about Barry M here.
For starters, there are amazing Barry M lip liner dupes for MAC you can always count on, as their pigmentation and staying power is outstanding.
I’ve recently also swatched all the Barry M lip liners except for the coral one, and again, if you’d like to see the colors up close, you know what to do.
What I know is that I’m always looking for new amazing drugstore nail polish brands, with, possibly, nail polishes that won’t chip.
In terms of drugstore gel polish, or for nail lacquers that give that healthy gel effect, I have not yet found better than Barry M.
The amazing Douglas Collection nail polish range is not that far off, but the Barry M texture feels even more opaque.
During my last trip to London, I’ve also treated myself to some new:
- Nails Inc nail polishes
- Essie nail polishes
- Revlon Ultra HD Snap nail polishes
And I will write complete reviews with swatches for each brand very soon.
For now, let me tell you the beautiful story of the Barry M Diamond Luxe nail polishes, and let yourself get carried by the amount of glittery flecks!

Barry M Diamond Luxe Nail Paint: Introduction

The Barry M Diamond Luxe nail polishes contain 10 mL of products like other Barry M nail polishes I’ve told you about in the past, which happens to be excellent value since these retail for 4.49 pounds.
They are also completely vegan and cruelty free, and I have to say, it’s a pleasure to now find affordable, and completely vegan nail polish brands.
That kind of vegan makeup brand has been around for decades now, but I still sometimes struggle with finding new vegan nail polishes that won’t chip the first time I wash the dishes.

Barry M Diamond Luxe Marquise Nail Paint

The Barry M Diamond Luxe nail polish in Marquise is described as a dark purple, but it’s honestly so much more.
What I appreciate with Barry M is that their glittery and metallic nail polish shades are almost always often released in limited edition collections.
However, unlike some other mainstream makeup brands, the limited edition collections can still be purchased for months after their release.

The Diamond Luxe nail paint in Marquise is a cool-toned, dark purple with tiny gold, red, fuchsia and blue glitter.
It needs two to three layers to be completely opaque, but like all the Barry M nail polishes I’ve been given to use, it dries quite fast.

The brush is quite large, allowing us to really coat the nail in one go, which helps give a smoother finish – another thing I love with the Barry M nail polishes in general.

Barry M Diamond Luxe Finest Nail Paint

The Barry M Diamond Luxe Nail Paint in Finest is a bright fuchsia shade, cool-toned as well, with gold, red, blue, and white glitter.
Out of the two, it is my favorite as it needs only two coats to be fully opaque, and that kind of fuchsia berry color is one I love wearing on my nails.

Like the Marquise nail polish, Finest does not feel gritty when it dries, but it does look very sparkly.
The large brush, again, helps achieve a flawless application, and at that 4.49 pounds price point, I can say these can’t be faulted.

Barry M Diamond Luxe Nail Paint: Final Thoughts

Actually, the only downside I see to the Diamond Luxe Shimmer Nail Paints is that they will at some point be discontinued – that’s the point of a limited edition collection.
I still remember the Barry M Molten Metal nail polishes, which were my first ever from the brand, and which have been discontinued.
If you can get your hands on these, by all means, go ahead – these take days before they even start chipping, offer that beautiful glossy finish, and despite the glitter, are easy to remove.
