London is filled with unique dessert spots, from proper British desserts to those family favorites like brownies, cheesecakes and other carrot cakes.
And well…
I’d say I’ve mentioned cheesecake so much on The Working Line that the time has definitely come to tell you about the bakeries, cafes and food spots that serve the best versions of this delicious American dessert.
Once thing’s for sure; London is a city that knows where to send you whether you’re looking for croissants and other Red Velvet cakes.
When it comes to indulgent desserts, though… Cheesecake is a crowd favorite, isn’t it?
Whether you prefer it classic and creamy like I do, or love trying out new flavors, the city has a spot for every single craving of ours.
London’s 7 Best Cheesecake Spots Worth Every Bite

So yeah – I thought the time had come to tell you about the best cheesecake in London, from the rustic, vintage charm of Park Avenue Bakery to high-end restaurant Oblix at the Shard in London Bridge.
I’ve tried many different cheesecakes in London, and even found a quite secret, quite local Polish grocery shop that sold one of the best I’ve ever had.
Anyhoo – be it that you want a quick indulgence or a full-on decadent moment, these spots across London are here to satisfy your cheesecake cravings in style.
Best Cheesecake in London: Outsider Tart (Various Locations)

Hammersmith in itself is already a must-visit, gorgeous neighborhood, with picturesque views and nature along with the White City Westfield shopping center located nearby.
But when you add that Outsider Tart is established there, at The Lyric, you understand that really, you should make your way this pretty area as soon as possible.
If today, they’re also known for plenty of American baked goods like cookies and brownies, their New York-style cheesecake is still one of the first items to try there.
If you happen to visit London in the fall or in the winter, you’ll find seasonal variations, like salted caramel and pumpkin cheesecake – but the classic vanilla cheesecake is, in my opinion, the best.
Oh, and you can also find Outsider Tart on various markets around London, like King’s Cross, Euston Station or the gorgeous Greenwich Peninsula; a great way to discover new areas while nibbling on creamy goodness!
Best Cheesecake in London: Whipped London, Brixton Market

I’d easily say that Whipped London is one of South London’s best hidden gems – located inside Brixton Market, it’s an absolute must-visit for creamy cheesecake with a twist.
Since its opening in 2019, Whipped London, who only specializes in cheesecake, has become a fan favorite; light and airy, yet decadently creamy, these are life-changing desserts.
Blueberry crumble, Lotus cookie dough, peanut butter or Red Velvet layer baked cheesecakes…
Whipped London’s desserts are simply indulgent and unforgettable, and great before exploring Brixton Village and the area’s many shops!
Best Cheesecake in London: Szampion, Tottenham

Szampion in Tottenham was a Polish grocery store I used to pop by every couple of days, back when I spent my time between Tottenham and Edmonton.
Well, if you’re a cheesecake lover, Szampion on the High Road offers all kinds of Polish treats that include sernik, Polish cheesecake.
In addition, you’ll find generous chocolate, apple and cinnamon, and other cream cakes served by the slice – but the cheesecake, with its dense, creamy filling, is one of the best pastries to get at Szampion.
It’s but one of North London’s best hidden gems, and if you happen to visit the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium nearby, make sure you pop by the grocery shop.
Since it’s also filled with Eastern European foods and specialties, like the Polish pierogi or the Romanian salata cu icre, Szampion makes for a great place to discover various cuisines, and why not, try something new at home?
Best Cheesecake in London: Sakurado, Shaftesbury Avenue, Central London

I was given to try Sakurado on Shaftesbury Avenue a few months ago, and loved every moment of my visit – but the highlight of it was the yuzu cheesecake.
Sakurado is a delightful Japanese bakery with a cute minimalist decor with several branches around town, but if you find yourself in Central London, the Shaftesbury Avenue location is the best one to visit.
With its pastries like the Franco-Japanese mille crêpes and a unique take on Japanese wobbly cheesecake, Sakurado offers creamy smoothness and a very airy texture, along with various flavors from matcha to more classic custard.
After enjoying your cheesecake, take a stroll around the vibrant Chinatown area with its many shops, lights and colors.
Or, wander around Soho and Carnaby Street for stylish streetwear brands like Stüssy and Palace, vintage shops and other records stores for some proper shopping!
Best Cheesecake in London: The Hummingbird Bakery (Various Locations)

If The Hummingbird Bakery is famous for their unique take on classic cheesecake, this American-style bakery with locations in Notting Hill, Spitalfields and Soho has more in stock for us.
Their indulgent, rich New York-style cheesecake is one of their signature offerings, but you’ll also find countless pies, brownies, cupcakes, carrot cakes, and cookies there.
If you decide to pop by the Notting Hill branch, why not walk down Portobello Road to explore vintage bits, antique cameras, street food stalls and other fashion vendors’ offerings?
If you’re in Soho, though, make your way to Carnaby Street for shopping, check out the hidden Shakespeare sculpture, or visit Liberty of London for high-end makeup, perfume, and homeware brands.
Not before enjoying a slice of pumpkin pie cheesecake, snickers, cookies and cream and other baklava cheesecakes for the most adventurous!
Best Cheesecake in London: Park Avenue Bakery

Located close to Imperial Wharf and Chelsea Harbour, amazing spots to enjoy some water and nature in the spring and summer, and close to Fulham, Park Avenue Bakery is another American-style bakery you shouldn’t miss.
This is a true gem; in addition to some of the smoothest and creamiest cheesecake you’ll ever eat in London, Park Avenue Bakery, opened in 2021, offers lots of other sweet and savory treats.
Namely, if you’re ever looking for New York-style bagels in London, that’s a place to pop by for anything from classic salt beef to ox tongue sandwiches – it’s almost like you’re visiting NYC with every bite!
If you wish to do so, you can also order whole cakes or different slices to make your own customized cakes – Park Avenue Bakery offers UK-wide delivery to help you plan for birthdays and occasions more easily!
Best Cheesecake in London: Oblix Restaurant, The Shard, London Bridge

The last spot I really wanted to mention if you’re craving a cheesecake experience that’s as breathtaking as the view, is Oblix at The Shard.
Now, having worked for about a year at Oblix Restaurant when I first moved to London, I have been able to try many dishes, desserts and afternoon tea bits in this restaurant located on the 32nd floor of the Shard.
Oblix serves a rich, smooth, creamy cheesecake that lingers in the mouth and just won’t quit.
With a light, buttery biscuit base and a soft vanilla flavor, it’s the kind of dessert perfect to end a romantic date, just light enough that you can then keep walking around the city’s landmarks.
We’re close to Tower Bridge, Borough Market, and the Southwark Cathedral – you will find many hidden gems, markets and small cafes in the surrounding areas that you can discover next, from Borough High Street to Bermondsey Street.

As you have been able to see, London truly is a cheesecake lover’s paradise – that makes me all the more happy, seeing as this is one of my ultimate favorite desserts.
The spicy crust, the overly creamy cheese preparation… With a sweet tooth like mine, how could I not love cheesecake?!
