A local’s photo gallery of Hotel Dieu le Comte and its museums, Cite du Vitrail, Apothicairerie and its gardens – a beautiful landmark of Troyes, France!
I’ve been living in my hometown, Troyes in France, for a few months now as I ponder over my next destination, and I’ve been snapping lots of shots of its most secret places.
Recently, I told you about the very hidden Juvenal des Ursins Garden, and I want to share with you, today, lots of pictures of the Hotel Dieu le Comte.
Located near the Seine river and very close to the old quarters of Troyes along the former Via Agrippa (yes, Troyes was a Roman city!), Hotel Dieu le Comte is one of the most beautiful landmarks of the city.

Should you be planning your first visit to Troyes, or are planning to move here, or maybe are already living here and looking for new spots to see, the Hotel Dieu le Comte makes for a wonderful moment in the city.
There are quite a few things to see inside, like the secret chapel and even outside, like the sculpture Lili ou la Dame au Chapeau, a few steps away.
For now, if you’re into history and craft, make sure you don’t only walk around the gardens of Hotel Dieu le Comte, but also make some time for the colorful Cite du Vitrail and the Apothicairerie museums inside!

I’ve always known that my hometown was beautiful – there’s a wonderful mix of Neoclassical, medieval and Gothic architecture that’s perfectly blended.
Close to Hotel Dieu le Comte, you’ll be able to visit the stunning Troyes Cathedral (which you shouldn’t miss for that deep, awe-inducing atmosphere), along with lots of colorful houses worth a glance or two in the old quarters!
