A local’s guide to visiting the fabulous Paris Fashion Vintage shop in Port Royal, in the 5th arrondissement of Paris – a staple for vintage couture brands!
Paris Fashion Vintage is a standalone boutique nestled just a few minutes away from the Val de Grâce and the secret Former Abbey of Port Royal, which I recently mentioned for its peaceful cloister.
It was during a stroll along the Boulevard de Port Royal, between the 5th and 14th arrondissements of Paris, that I found myself face to face with the boutique’s classic red storefront.

I hesitated a bit before entering, dazzled by the antique jewelry, frames, and other decorations that beckon to you from the street.
With Paris Fashion Vintage, we aren’t talking about classic second-hand clothing, and it is far from the typical thrift stores that fill the streets of Paris.

This is absolute vintage luxury, where every item is selected by the expert eye of a trained stylist, artist, and art director.
Paris Fashion Vintage is located on Boulevard de Port Royal, near Denfert-Rochereau. The closest station is Port Royal on the RER B, though it is also easily accessible by bus.

As soon as I stepped inside, I noticed a collection of precious jewelry and a cozy armchair draped with vintage covers of Marie-Claire magazine.

I found myself in an elegant boudoir with touches of white, red, and gold.

I quickly realized I was in a really unique shop, surrounded by antique mannequins, hats with accents of a bygone era, and various portraits, including Marilyn Monroe.

Pieces of history are sold at Paris Fashion Vintage; this became clear to me while speaking with the founder, Livia (thank you, if you read this, for the most wonderful moment!).

Here, you find signature cuts and iconic Pantone shades, where names like Marni, Chanel, Fiocchi, or even Ferragamo come alive again with the opening of the door.

Other brands you can find at Paris Fashion Vintage include Dior, YSL, Miu Miu, Gucci, Hermès, Balmain, Louis Vuitton for the best known by the public.
If you’re more into niche vintage, if I may say so, you’ll be delighted to discover the likes of Jacques Fath, François Villon or Roberta di Camerino.
This is pure glamour – the welcome here comes from an art and fashion enthusiast who knows how to recommend the perfect pieces for every personality.

As a former makeup artist who spent years on fashion and beauty photoshoots, this was truly one of the finest moments I’ve experienced since returning to Paris.

I particularly liked that Paris Fashion Vintage’s collections don’t only stop at fashion; you will also find a few home decor pieces there.

Once you’ve treated yourself to a beautiful designer vintage piece at Paris Fashion Vintage, you will find many lovely things to see nearby and throughout Paris, especially if you love shopping and historical sites.
I also enjoy discovering unexpected spots like the ruins of the Cordelières Convent in the 13th, or the Notre-Dame-du-Travail church near the Jardin des Colonnes in the 14th.
I particularly love literary Paris, which I mostly find in the 6th Arrondissement toward Saint-Germain-des-Prés with its Cour du Commerce Saint-André.
This is where you’ll find Brémond Fils for fine groceries, as well as the beautiful Assouline, Taschen, and Diane de Selliers bookstores, which all make for great stops after Paris Fashion Vintage.
