It’s not that hard to find the best tobacco candle scents online.
But when you’re looking for something specific, like a tobacco and honey candle or a teakwood and tobacco candle, you come across so many brands that sometimes, you just postpone the purchase because you just aren’t sure what to choose.
It happens to me all the time, whether we’re talking about candles or makeup.
That’s one of the reasons why I have set out on sharing with you the best candle scents in the world, from ocean scented candles to chocolate candles, and lately, the best vanilla sandalwood candle scents.
Tobacco candle scents are so intoxicating, both manly and sweet when combined to patchouli, vanilla, or honey, that lots of candle brands, both famous and independent now offer their own version of tobacco candles.
Heck, some of them, like one of my all-time favorites, Sand and Fog, offer a few different tobacco scented candles, as does DW Home with their Warm Pipe Tobacco candle.
So today, we’re going to dive deep into the quest for the best tobacco candle scents.
From famous brands like Tom Ford and Malin and Goetz to very independent and lesser-known companies like The Candle Daddy, Dude Candle, or Ironbridge Candle Company… you’ll find them all here.
14 Best Tobacco Candle Scents From Teakwood to Honey

There’s nothing I love more than man candles, as I explained in quite a few guides over here.
One of my very first grown-up candle ever was the Vanilla Bourbon candle by Makers of Wax Goods, one of the TK Maxx candle brands that made me fall in love with all the TK Maxx in London in the first place.
I then went on to discover more and more candle scents a few years ago, and to this date, I feel like tobacco candle scents are some of my ultimate favorites.
Leather and tobacco, whiskey and tobacco, tobacco and cedar – these are all scents that I’m extremely attracted to.
I like heavy scents, but I do get a headache when the candle is too strong, so I do have to pay attention to the composition and the fragrance notes even if I’d like to get all and any tobacco candles that come my way.
Lately, I have been really into coffee scented candles, like the DW Home Fresh Brew candle, but as the weather gets colder here in London, I am looking for heavier, more enveloping man candles.
I do say man candles, but obviously, it’s a term that is just coined to describe those heavier scents – and doesn’t actually mean much, when no candle scent should be attributed to any gender.
Now that this is all said, you’ll discover in this guide all the best tobacco scented candles; from Santa Maria Novella to the ultra-famous Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille candle, get ready to be blown away!
Best Tobacco Candle Scent: Santa Maria Novella Tabacco Toscano

Scented candle with the woody notes of Tuscan tobacco leaves which blend with scents of vanilla and burnt malt to create a warm, enveloping atmosphere.
Santa Maria Novella is one of the oldest candle brands in the world – it was established in 1221, and it actually offers very decently-priced candles for such an institution of perfumery and candle-making.
Based in Florence, one of the cities around Rome that I particularly love, Santa Maria Novella offers candle scents unlike any you’ve ever tried – and any you’ll ever try after these.
The Santa Maria Novella Tabacco Toscano candle is priced at £25 for 300g, which makes it an average-priced candle considering we’ll talk about much more expensive tobacco candle scents later on.
The fragrance of tobacco offers a woody scent, softened by the presence of vanilla and warmed up by burnt malt, and gives a result perfect for anyone who likes tobacco scented candles.

Best Tobacco Scented Candles: The Candle Daddy Cherry Tobacco Candle

The Candle Daddy is one of the coolest independent American candle brands, and I’ve already mentioned this brand in my guide to the best Christmas wax melts.
Honestly, I think that as time passes by, you’ll read more and more about The Candle Daddy on The Working Line, simply because the brand character is really interesting, fun, and attaching.
If you’re looking for a really different tobacco candle scent, the Cherry Tobacco candle by The Candle Daddy is one you really shouldn’t miss.
For starters, The Candle Daddy gives really fun names to its candles, poured in small batches in the USA. As the brand states, ‘you buy it for the name, but come back for the scents’.
And with this Cherry Tobacco candle, priced at $19.99 for 6 oz (approximate burn time: 40 hours), you’ve got a really different candle scent. It’s simple and effective and smells exactly like what the name suggests.
One of the best tobacco scented candles on the market, and one to consider even if you’re looking for a teakwood and tobacco candle or a honey tobacco scent.

Best Tobacco Candle Scent: Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille Candle

Tom Ford’s affection for London inspired this scent, reminiscent of an English gentlemen’s club, redolent with spice.
He reinvents a classic fragrance genre by adding creamy Tonka bean, vanilla, cocoa, dry fruit accords and sweet wood sap for a modern, open, and almost heady impression that’s all man, unless worn by a woman.
Priced at £68 for approximately 40 hours of burn time, the Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille candle is one of the most famous tobacco scented candles in this guide.
It’s simple, Tom Ford, as much with his candles as with his perfumes and makeup, just infuses knowledge, skill and flair inside each of its products.
The Tom Ford candles are stunning, and if you’re ever looking for something different, the F*cking Fabulous candle is also another type of masculine candle scent you could look at.
The Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille candle is intoxicating – there’s no other way to put it, and with its beautifully-colored wax and clean aesthetic, it’s a tobacco candle that fits the aesthetic of any interior.

Best Tobacco Scented Candles: Malin and Goetz Tobacco Candle

Rich and languid, a Proustian remembrance of your grandfather’s pipe, our tobacco candle has a deep and velvety aroma that delivers a uniquely old-world ambiance.
Light wisps of smoke intermingle with notes of basil and rye, bringing to life the herbaceous qualities of dried and cured tobacco leaves.
Creamy notes of honey, vanilla and tonka enrich the olfactory experience with a robust sweetness that enlivens the senses. From the first light to the last burn, tobacco is a scent that is both familiar and comforting.
I discovered the Malin and Goetz candles a few months ago while shopping at Space NK, one of the makeup stores in London that sell elegant makeup, skincare, and nail polish, amongst other sophisticated products.
Malin and Goetz offers candles that are made from eco-friendly, natural waxes like soy, vegetable wax, and beeswax.
If you’re looking for completely vegan candle brands, the Malin and Goetz Tobacco candle is the one for you.
This tobacco scented candle is one of the most unique in this guide, in addition to being vegan and cruelty-free.
The top notes of basil, honey, and jasmine are completely unexpected, as are those of ylang-ylang and olibanum combined with tobacco leaves and vanilla for the heart notes.
Malin and Goetz finishes their Tobacco scented candle with Tonka, guaiac wood, sandalwood, and cashmere wood, making the result even more interesting since tobacco leaf candles are very rare to come by. A little gem.

Best Tobacco Candle Scent: PF Candle Co Teakwood and Tobacco

The one that started it all. Some call it the boyfriend scent, we call it the O.G. Leather, teak, and orange.
PF Candle Co is probably the brand with the most famous tobacco candle scent in this guide.
If you’re looking for a teakwood and tobacco candle, you’ll have one of the woodiest results with the PF Candle Co Teakwood and Tobacco candle.
Priced at £24 for 7.2 oz, this is an average-priced candle, to be fair, especially considering the quality of the product.
Indeed, the Los Angeles-established PF Candle Co brand takes extra care of its wax and fragrances, but it goes beyond with candles ‘hand-poured into apothecary-inspired amber jars’, a signature kraft label, and a brass lid.
The overall aesthetic of the Teakwood and Tobacco candle makes it a pure object of home decor, perfect for any kind of interior.
Whether you’re more of a modern hippie or a minimalism guru, you’ll find yourself and your home warmed up nicely with the Teakwood and Tobacco candle crafted by PF Candle Co. Expect a burn time of 40 to 50 hours.

Best Tobacco Scented Candles: DW Home Warm Pipe Tobacco Candle

Warm Tobacco and brushed suede meld with aromatic greens, soft weathered woods, earthy patchouli and smoky leather.
I have talked a lot about different types of man candles by DW Home on The Working Line, and some, like the Warm Tobacco Pipe candle, are the best DW Home candles I can imagine.
If you like leather and tobacco candle scents, you’ll find yourself right at home (no pun intended) with the Warm Tobacco Pipe candle.
It’s actually one of the bestsellers of the American candle brand, which offers over 1.000 scents on its website.
Since I live in London, I usually purchase them from the TK Maxx candle aisles, where I have found the Warm Tobacco Pipe candle more than once.
You’ve got different sizes available, from a medium single wick at $14 to a crackling wooden wick candle at $18 – and when you’re looking for a tobacco candle scent, what could be better than getting a crackling wick?
The medium single wick has an approximate burn time of 33 hours, while the medium wick lasts for roughly 56 hours.
Having owned quite a few DW Home candles, like the Cereal Milk candle in a double wick format, I can say that mine lasted for way more than 56 hours, as has my Donut Shop candle, and running.
One of the best tobacco and patchouli candles, with earthy and green notes lifting up the overall scent of this DW Home tobacco scent.

Best Tobacco Candle Scent: Sand and Fog Vanilla Tobacco

The Vanilla Tobacco scent is a very mellow and sweetened tobacco scent.
I said it at the beginning of this post; Sand and Fog candles are some of my ultra-favorites. I mentioned a few of these in the following guides, actually:
- The best Sand and Fog candles at TK Maxx
- The best beach scented candles
- The best vanilla sandalwood candles
And if you’re looking for the uber-perfect tobacco candle scent, it’s hard to do better than the Sand and Fog Tobacco Vanilla candle.
This is one of the most fragrant tobacco candles in this guide, with warm, woody, and spicy notes of pepper, cinnamon, ginger, and clove opening this Sand and Fog act.
The middle notes are somewhat more floral, with heliotrope, anise, and French vanilla backed by Tonka bean, vanilla, and tobacco leaf fragrances.
Priced at $32 for 21 oz and an approximate burn time of 60 hours, you’ve got here one of the best tobacco vanilla candles, made ethically, vegan, and with a great hot throw.
Best Tobacco Scented Candles: Sand and Fog Honey Tobacco

This is a sweet, rich scent-reminiscent of old-school private library with leather chairs and a glass of good bourbon.
I’ll talk about another tobacco and honey candle just below, but if you’re a fan of the Sand and Fog candles, you should definitely take a look at the Honey Tobacco candle.
We’ve got a scent available in different sizes, with the 24 oz candle priced at $32 for about 34 hours of burn time.
In terms of value, the Sand and Fog Honey Tobacco candle is probably one of the most expensive.
Yet, the fact that the brand is completely vegan and definitely as sophisticated as they come makes it a great option if you’re after tobacco candle scents that aren’t too strong not too overpowering.
In the fragrance blend, you’ve got frankincense, bergamot, and honey, backed by cinnamon, clove, and Tonka, and the base notes feature tobacco, vanilla, and patchouli.
This is a one-stop shop for whoever would like to find the perfect tobacco candle scent, especially if you can’t choose between honey, vanilla, or patchouli to have mixed in your tobacco candle.

Best Tobacco Candles: Ironbridge Dark Honey & Tobacco Luxury Candle

Our Dark Honey & Tobacco Luxury Candle is a dark and powerful blend of tobacco leaf, softened with honey accords. A sophisticated masculine scent.
Imagine, leathery scents and tobacco swirls of whispered discussions mingle and evoke memories of a leather club chair, scotch on the rocks, a gently wafting pipe, dark woods; sensual and comforting.
The Ironbridge Candle Company is one of the lesser-known British candle brands, and with the Dark Honey and Tobacco candle, we’ve got a super androgynous scent perfect for all times of the year.
Honey and tobacco candles are not easy to come by – aside from Sand and Fog and the Ironbridge Candle Company, not many brands ally both scents in their candles – especially pure tobacco leaf candles.
Priced at £20 for about 55 hours of burn time, the Dark Honey and Tobacco candle is one of the most cost-effective candles in this guide.
If you’re looking for elegant yet powerful tobacco candles, it is perfect to treat yourself or a close one who likes scented candles made in the UK.

Best Tobacco Candles: The Salcombe Candle Co Tobacco & Oak Candle

A distinctive and masculine scent of smoky tobacco blended with oak.
Priced at £18 for 5.5 oz and an approximate burn time of 30 hours, the Salcombe Candle Company Tobacco and Oak candle is one of the priciest candles in this guide when you consider the weight and burn time.
Yes, but – if you’re looking for British vegan candle brands, made locally and ethically, you’ve got here one of the best tobacco scented candles in this guide.
With notes of smoky tobacco, spice, oak, and musk, it’s a very masculine candle we’ve got with Salcombe Candle Company.
Completely vegan and cruelty-free, the Salcombe Candle Company takes a step closer to an environmentally-friend candle making process, with soy wax, cotton wicks, and candles packaged in 100% recyclable kraft boxes.

Best Tobacco Scented Candles: Beautypie Tobacco Cedarwood Vanilla Candle

A sweet, softly rounded Tobacco, exhaling over Cinnamon and Cedarwood, with a breath of smooth Vanilla Musk. Sexy and entrancing.
Now it’s true I haven’t talked much about French candle brands on The Working Line so far (I have kind of kept that for my French blog, Une Frenchie Qui Blogue), but if you’re looking for a tobacco cedar candle, the BeautyPie Tobacco candle is one you’re going to be interested in.
In the blend of fragrances, you’ve got everything you might wish for to get a ‘sexy and entrancing’ smell blowing at home, with tobacco, cedar wood, vanilla, musk, and cinnamon mixed to create a very fiery scent.
What’s even more interesting about the BeautyPie Tobacco candle is the fact that the fragrance was developed in Grasse, France – the world capital and birthplace of perfumery.
Some of my favorite French candle brands, like Bougies de Charroux or L’Occitane en Provence, use fragrances imagined in Grasse, and when you come across a brand that uses these, you know you’ve come across a pearl.
The BeautyPie Tobacco candle is priced at £60 for 240 g and has an approximate burn time of 60 hours, making it one of the priciest tobacco scented candles in this guide – but it’s worth every penny.

Best Tobacco Candle Scent: Miller Harris Tabac Candle

Rich woods, tobacco leaves and spices take you on a wonderfully intoxicating journey in our Tabac scented candle.
Suggestive of the leaves wrapping a fine cigar and a golden pouch of honeyed tobacco, with fiery spices.
With products proudly made in the UK from soy and rapeseed wax blended to burn evenly and beautifully, Miller Harris is probably one of the most famous British candle brands.
It oozes luxury, and the Tabac candle is a gem of a candle. If you’re looking for minimalist candles that give off a great tobacco scent, then the Miller Harris Tabac candle is made for you.
Here’s what Miller Harris says about their Tabac candle:
Cuban cascarilla oil and pimento berries contrast with a cooling heart of pine needles and velvet sage. Creamy tonka bean and Malay patchouli complete this evocative fragrance. Warm, comforting, nostalgic and perfectly different.
Tobacco and patchouli candles are hard to come by.
In the Tabac candle (£50, 220g for about 50 hours of burn time), both are mixed and combined with Cascarilla oil, making the scent very androgynous.
If you’re looking for a proper tobacco leaf candle scent, you’ve got it here.

Best Tobacco Scented Candles: Dude Candle Pipe Tobacco Candle

Cognac, cherry, vanilla, and tobacco leaf come together in a carefully blended scent that’s sweet, aromatic, and the conjurer of sentimental memories. Think library, think Hemingway, think maritime sailors of old, think granddad. It’s bold, pensive and profound.
Dude Candle offers really decently-priced candles considering the quality of its products.
The Pipe Tobacco candle (priced between $20 and $28 depending on the size, 8 oz or 16 oz) is one of the bestsellers of the American candle brand. How could it not be?
It features fragrances that you’ve never smelled altogether in a tobacco scented candles, with cherry, cognac, vanilla, and tobacco all merged to create one of the most fragranced, masculine candles around.
While one might get a little spooked by the number of heavy fragrances in the Dude Candle Pipe Tobacco candle, like cognac and tobacco leaf in conjunction, the scent is actually strong without being too overpowering.
And the best part is, the smell lingers – if you’re looking for the perfect tobacco candle scent to remind you of your grandpa, take a good look at the Dude Candle brand.

Best Tobacco Candles: Parks London Tobacco Leather Candle

Balmy and comforting, Tobacco & Leather smells like a tranquil evening by a fireside, snuggled up with a good book. The supple leather effect brings a touch of smoke, whilst the honeyed tobacco and golden amber create an ambiance of satisfaction and contentment.
Parks London is an institution of British candle brands, and one of the most famous candle shops in London, as I told you in my guide to the best sandalwood vanilla candles.
The brand has been around for decades, and you can always count on Parks candles whenever you are looking for botanical candles (not the kind with pressed flowers inside though) of really high quality.
One of the most famous tobacco candle scents, the Parks London Tobacco Leather candle is priced at £35 for 220g, making it a little gem of a candle.
It is much stronger than other tobacco candles I have mentioned in this guide like the Sand and Fog Tobacco Vanilla candle, and the leather really brings a very masculine scent to the room.
Count roughly 45 hours of burn time with this 100% natural wax candle to be used, as Parks London states, ‘whenever an air of gentle warmth and familiarity is needed’.
